The odd thing is I look nowhere near my age. People always think I'm younger.

It's weird that I'm 17 and just starting to have a lot more responsibilities and yet I still feel like a 14 year old in my head. I don't think that's a good thing but I feel like a big kid and my body is still working as well as ever (although being 17 that should sorta be expected) so I don't feel I've aged much really.

I feel you. I feel tired too much despite an increased attempt at living a full and meaningful life. Adult responsibilities and all that are such a drain. So, yeah, I feel old. I can get cranky, cynical, and overall stagnant if I'm not actively trying to stay mentally and physically fit and awake.

I joke a lot about how I'm so fucking old but I'm not really that old

except on those days where I remember that there's high schoolers who were not born in the same millennium as me, like holy shit

I feel that a lot of my co-workers view me as a kid though. I don't think I act like a kid but rather it's hard for them not to see me that way when many of them have kids my age (because for whatever reason like 90% of janitors are old people).

tho I also feel a bit like a tired old person today because yesterday I had to move a lot of boxes of paper.....and these boxes weighed 50 fucking pounds

I don't feel old or physically worn down(yet). Most of the time I have the energy to get through the day and I attribute that to my young age. That said, 30 is just around the corner for me and it seems like only a few years ago I was in elementary school 8(. Time flies!

Honestly, I don't feel old mentally. Physically, yes, because of my chronic illnesses. I always feel tired and I go to so many more specialists than most people my age and it can be a little disheartening. I wish I had the same energy as my peers.

But generally? No. I don't think anywhere in your 20's (early to late) is old. I may joke about it, but I still feel like I have a lot of growing and maturing to do before I actually consider myself "old". I'm actually looking forward to my later 20's and 30's since being an adult is fun imo. I really do think it's a state of mind.

My body has definitely aged. I'm not recovering from muscle strains and injuries as quickly as I used to. I can feel my mind going a bit as well haha.

I'm as young and energetic as I ever were, maybe just a tad bit wiser. When I work at summer camp, I love playing with the kids, and some of my closest friends these days are 19 years old. Meanwhile, at work, I'm the youngest by far.

Pretty sure I'll still feel lively at 30. Stop worrying, kids <3

To be honest, I'm mentally a child. This is due to my special needs. I don't really like being an adult either. It's no fun at all! ;o;

I don't feel old but I feel like I'm growing up. I'm getting a car this year and I have to find my own place for next year's school year. Seems like an adultish thing to do.

I'm still quite young, but I look even younger because I didn't actually go through puberty until I was 18 (it's a long story but the TL;DR is that I have a hormone disorder and I needed to go through hormone therapy so I wouldn't be a prepubescent boy for my whole life).

So even though mentally I'm an adult, physically I'm not really. It's getting a lot better, but from the age of around 15 or so until recently there was a huge disconnect between my mental age and my physical age.

All my friends looked and sounded like adults, while I still had peach fuzz and a voice that sounded like Minnie Mouse.

I often got mistaken for a girl (I have long hair too, which didn't help either) whenever I did anything even remotely grown-up, like going anywhere without my Daddy.

Or people would talk to me like I was a little kid, not knowing my true age. You know what I'm talking about, they'd talk in that obnoxious, condescending high pitched voice that you talk to dogs and cats with.

I still want to punch something when I hear people talk in that voice.

It was funny at first, but then it just got annoying, and I would resist leaving the house to do even the simplest of "adult" tasks, like going to the grocery store or the bank by myself.

Now that my voice has finally broken and the facial hair is coming in the disconnect is going away, so I feel more like a proper adult. Although I still kind of have a baby face (probably will for a long time), so my friends and I have a joke that before I was mistaken for a 12 year old and now I'll be mistaken for a 14 year old.
