Alberta wildfires - Several communities preparing for or are under evacuation orders

Christ, that NASA video makes it look like something out of 2012. Thoughts are with all involved, particularly those who have been displaced with nowhere to return to. Just awful :/
I really hope the recovery process is efficient and bureaucracy impedes as little progress as possible.

As someone who lives in the land of fire, my thoughts are with those displaced or otherwise impacted by the fire and also with those who have friends and family whom they are worrying about. Even when you hear about fires like this constantly it's a terrifying prospect and this fire is huge.

I hope that the fire department and rescue services in the area are up to the task and that the government is managing everything properly. Often the worst thing during a disaster is officials who don't know how to handle the situation.

I am thinking about everyone, but I am thinking a lot about the animals they had to left behind... A guy had to let his 3 horses on loose... One girl ran away with her two horses! At least she haven't ran out of gas --> that's another problem a lot of citizens has to go through...

I wish they'll have some rain too!

I've been hearing lots about this, I'm all the way in Ontario so I'm safe but I hope you'll be ok TF <3

It's that bad? Why couldn't the firefighters and rangers keep the fire under control?
Changing winds, from what I heard on the radio, made it difficult to anticipate where the fire might spread to. Same thing happened in the county neighboring mine last fall. Many buildings burnt and lots of people evacuated. Lots of animals left behind because of how sudden it was. This is all eerily familiar.

I'm relieved to hear that no one has died though.

after hearing the fire could grow again in size and start getting into saskatchewan makes me worry about friends in Canada one that i think still lives in Sasktoon and i am not sure where another one is currently living im not sure if she still lives in Barrie, Ontario or if she lives in another part of Canada

I heard there was one in BC too and Manitoba... Man Canada is literally on fire.

For the first time I am happy to live in a "wet" province! I really wish we can send you our rain!!
But Alberta will need at least a week of rain!
It rained saturday I think? (In fort mac)
