The poll is intended to be an average.
So, alcohol has had its ups and downs in (at least) North American society. It was acceptable, then it was prohibited (due to violence and other things), and then it was permitted once again for lawful consumption after the age of nineteen in most Canadian provinces, eighteen in Quebec, and I don't really know for the USA since I do not live there.
But thus, the purpose of this topic!

For People Who Do Not Drink
I drink socially. I don't go out much, and I hate the atmosphere at parties, clubs, bars, raves, etc. I prefer to drink in the comfort of my own home with people I know and trust.
I personally prefer vodka, especially Vex. It's 7% and 12,00$ for six bottles (taxes in, deposits in), and I feel fuzzy just drinking one. I like the Electrifying Lemonade flavour (blue box) because it only vaguely tastes like alcohol, so it's really, really easy to drink; almost too easy.
Where I live, the legal age is nineteen, but Ottawa is so close to Gatineau, QC (where the law is eighteen) that people just cross the river to legally purchase alcohol there and then illegally consume it in Ontario. OttawaU is known as a "party school" because of this loophole / these delinquents.
The first time I tried alcohol, I was nine or so. My dad let me taste his beer, and it tasted like pee. Beer still tastes like pee to me. After that, I had some vodka at sixteen or so, and I got pretty drunk that night, but not black-out drunk or stupid drunk. Just drunk. I got super drunk about five weeks ago in the company of my boyfriend, but typically I just drink for the fuzzies: a bottle, and then none more.
I've been drinking more recently due to depression. I'm not an alcoholic, but I do tend to consume a bottle of 355mL @ 7%/day because of isolation and loneliness. Just makes me feel fuzzy and passes the time.
I've only ever had one hangover, and that was two or three months ago. I was trying to socialize and was caught up in drinking games: beer pong, bottle hockey, etc. Before that, I had a full bottle of wine to myself over seven or eight hours (maybe more), and then had mojitos and vodka later on until about 4am. Had to wake up at 7am; it was honestly the most wretched experience ever, and really turned me off alcohol for a while.
I don't think I've ever done anything stupidly dumb while drunk. I don't typically get drunk enough to lose self-awareness or to shadow my self-consciousness. The funniest time I had, though, was five weeks ago after binging on six 355mL bottles of Vex @ 7% in less than an hour, and I fell out of an armchair and just laid on the floor and had an uncontrollable gigglefit for about twenty minutes. I hit my head, but I was just so cracked up about it. I dunno lol
