Overview & Setting:

Alola, Friends! Welcome, to the sunny tropical region of Alola! We're so pleased to welcome you to our beautiful home! Come enjoy a natural wonder-land to which we've added the finest resort landscape, spectacular events, and... succulent seafood! This and more await you on Alola! Come relax and let us refresh your body and spirit!

This is a combination of a slice of life, and journey RP. No matter who you are, you'll join this RP as an inexperienced/beginner Pokemon trainer, or inexperienced Pokemon owner in general. You can chose to be wanting to experience all the trials and tribulations Alola has to offer to get stronger and appreciate the Alolan culture. Or, you can be a traveler overseas who came to relax and enjoy their vacation here, or, you can simply be someone from Alola wanting for some relaxation and downtime too. Just a few examples of whom you can play as! Whichever you prefer, this RP will accommodate! Feel free participate in the many events and festivities here in Alola! Choose your own adventure! Alola awaits you!

Here in Alola, if you are travelling from overseas, you'll arrive and will be staying at the Sun and Moon Resort in Hau'oli City. If you are playing as an Alolan, this is the city you'll be starting out in too, whether it be from your own home, or otherwise. The city will act as a "home base" — that is, a place where your character can stay at, where they are free to always travel back to throughout the RP. But you'll have to wait for each new area of Alola to explore into it. So, you can explore and do things within one stage, and have the option to travel back to your place. Or you can even stay at your place for the whole RP. The RP will continue regardless.

You may also leave this RP with your character (ie. if they wanna end their vacation) anytime, and if you want, as long as the RP remains active, you can re-enter with a different character. You can also make as much characters as you wish, as long as you can handle em' all!

Mechanics:

Each Stage is a new area in Alola, showcasing various locations(including landmarks, and routes) within that area. They will have different and various tasks you can do, such as the island challenge, a battle challenge, wild Pokemon you can capture, even some events and contests that may pop up. There will also be some optional missions for awards you can do, just in case you're looking for some writing prompts to do, but ultimately, it's entirely up to you to know what you want to do with your character. Alola is filled with possibilities! Each stage will come once per month, so take your time doing whatever you want/need to do!

Levels/Moves/Evolution:

There are no levels within this RP. How your characters' Pokemon grow is entirely by your hands, as long as you make sense of it! Your Pokemon can also evolve and learn new moves as you see fit, however, for now I request that you message me beforehand whenever you are planning to. As long as you're not planning anything ridiculous, I will most likely approve of your choices!

Pokemon that evolve via trading can be treated as evolving normally, to the writer's decision. Happiness evolutions are done when the Pokemon is most affectionate to its trainer, and Pokemon that evolve via evolution stones can evolve anytime the trainer has the item. Pokemon that evolve on a specific environment (ie. Crabrawler to Crabominable), are evolved in specific stages with said environment (or we will find a case-by-case alternative).

Obtainable Pokemon

Each area will have specific Pokemon available for capture. Usually there are no restrictions on the amount of Pokemon you can capture in an area, however, in certain landmarks there are restrictions, like trial sites: only those who have completed the trial can capture Pokemon in that certain area. Also, some areas have Pokemon that are becoming rare and endangered, so to help preserve that, some areas only have a 1-Pokemon per Trainer capture. Certain missions have Pokemon that are only available for capture for that mission as well. Fishing is allowed in certain parts that have Pokemon that you can only get with fishing, but you can only fish if you have a type of Fishing Rod.

Characters are allowed to have more than six Pokemon, but should they want to enter certain events and tournaments, the number of Pokemon they are allowed to bring with them will be limited, depending on their rules.

The Rotorolla (The Rotom Phone)

Some of the Aether Foundation's most accomplished developments came in the form of a piece of technology called the Rotorolla. It functions as a Pokédex, a Communication device, town map, and something you can go online on the internet with. It can even take pictures! These days, it's sold at a moderate price to Alolans, and in-coming travelers: a business practice to sell more at cheaper prices. It comes in a variety of colors and pictures, and the picture face resembles a Rotom.

The Island Challenge

The island challenge is a rite of passage for burgeoning Pokémon Trainers in the Alola region. Child-Teenage Trainers can partake in these rites once they turn 11, but only before they turn 18. In other words, Trainers can take the challenge from age 11-17.

The island challenge consists of a number of trials on each of the Alola region's four islands, with each usually headed by a Trial Captain. Trials are not limited to Pokémon battles; they may involve finding designated items or a test of knowledge, among other tasks. Trials are all difficult tasks that require Trainers to prove themselves.

To complete the trial, the Trainer must defeat a powerful, especially large species of Pokémon, known as the Totem Pokémon. Some Totem Pokémon can call more than one ally. The final trial on each island is called the grand trial. In the grand trial, the Trainer must battle the island kahuna. If they complete an island's grand trial, they are recognized as having cleared all of that island's trials and can move on to the next island challenge. The goal of those taking the island challenge is to become the strongest Trainer, known as the island challenge champion.

Z-Crystals and Z-Moves

Throughout the RP, your character can obtain many mysterious objects known as Z-Crystals. In this RP, Z-Crystals are the products of spirits who have taken a solid form onto these stones, and it's up to the trainer to harness the power of their energy and transfer it to their Pokémon. Along with a Z-Ring, they can use this energy for powerful attacks.

The energy is harnessed by a trainer's "life energy", or Ki - and to extract this energy, the trainer has proper Ki control, which is controlled by one's visualization and willpower. Before they believed that you'd have to do a dance to control this energy, but more methods (like proper breathing control, or the concept of being 'spirited' in general) have been established in modern times so, while the Z-move dance can help harness their energy, it's not required.

Then the energy is transferred to their Pokémon, thanks to the help of the Z-Crystals, helping them unleash one powerful attack. For safety reasons, it is strongly advised that Trainers who use Z-Moves are not to use a second Z-Move during battle. Not only will it not work, but the attempt can bring them to absolute exhaustion, potentially causing severe health problems.

1. All PC rules apply.
2. Be fair, nice and respectful towards other players. This also implies no godmodding, bunnying without permission, or anything of the sort.
3. This RP has an M rating. Meaning that romance, violence, swearing and even minimal gore and adult themes are allowed. These principles are encouraged but do not overuse them!
4. Communication is key! Cooperate with your fellow players and discuss the RP upon our discord server.
5. Respect should always be given! As fellow RPers in this game, we should all work together to ensure that we all have the most fun and positive atmosphere that we can possibly have. So, please give others the respect that you would like to be given in return!
6. If you're unconvinced that any decision I made isn't the wisest, please tell me so! As I will be posting in this RP as well, and I do encourage some communication with me as well. I'm also not perfect, but I will do the best I can to help the RP moves along.

Physical Appearance: Emil is of fairly average body type but rather short for his age, only 3'10 even though he's just turned 9. His skin stays a medium tan no matter how little time he spends outside, and his dark hair is getting a little too shaggy for his mama's liking, because it "hides those pretty gray eyes". He often pins his bangs back with colorful clips.

Personality: Emil is cheerful, energetic, and adventurous! He's a bit of a dreamer, and often thinks he's far more capable than he actually is, which can get him into trouble. He's starting to be more cautious about what he says to people, but isn't very good at filtering in real time, and is genuinely atrocious at lying.

History: Emil was adopted by his moms at around six months old, and hasn't stopped trying to give them heart attacks since. His latest scheme has been to wander off on a class field trip and sneak aboard an international flight, which ended up taking him into Alola!

Aspirations: Emil wants to have adventures and make new friends!

Flavor:
► Emil is somewhat of a prodigy in the engineering field, having been taught things earlier than he probably should have by his mom. He is primarily good at repairing things, though he does make small devices of his own design at times.

► Ever since he could talk, he talked to Pokémon- and his mothers, sensible people as they are, thought for sure he had simply made a habit of projecting his own thoughts onto the Pokémon when he insisted they told him things. But as he's grown older, and his interpretations have grown more accurate and nuanced, his mama has begun to suspect he may not be imagining things after all.

► Basically, he can talk to Pokémon. The "words" they say are Emil's own interpretation of their natural language and emotions, he just has a gift of "translating" those ideas into something recognizable to humankind. He is still figuring out the intricacies of how to tactfully use this gift.

► He was popular amongst kids his age when he was younger due to his ability, but as other kids grew out of believing his "fairy tales" he found himself increasingly lonely.

► Magnemite entered his life via a shipment of magnetic material to his mom's work. Once the lab technicians gave up trying to unstick the Pokémon, Emil's mama showed up to deal with them. They then stayed at Emil's house while his mama tried to find some way to ship it back to Galar, but by the time she'd made arrangements Emil had made a new best friend. And both his mothers have a tendency to give into his big, pleading eyes.

► Emil, being an actual child, doesn't actually own Magnemite. Neither do his mothers, who both kind of hoped the Pokémon would eventually leave on their own.

Hometown:

Appearance:
Jules is 5'7" and thin, the latter of which is achieved through resisting sweets that he finds so addictive. He has pale skin and long curly blonde hair which has led to his peers derogatorily nicknaming him "Goldilocks" although he's always found it endearing.

What makes him stick out more than anything though is the way he presents himself. He wears lots of pink, has zero qualms with wearing dresses and skirts which led to him carrying around small objects in a purse because his clothes often lack pockets. Its not uncommon that he'll be mistaken for a girl when first approached although his voice usually gives away that he's a guy- not that he minds how he's perceived.

Personality:
Jules is calm, collected, and very social. He enjoys meeting people and more often than not initiates contact by flirting if they're around his age and even just slightly attractive by his standards. He loves hearing about people and their interests, the only kinds of people he really dislikes are those he deems to be "dishonest" or "boring". Some people have attempted to get on his bad side by flinging insults at him, but insults bounce right off of him, so many people quickly give up on that.

In his personal friend groups, he's the one people usually go to if they need cheering up because of his optimism. He's an all-around supportive person, which is why he was glad to find out Clementine knows Helping Hand- while he might not do a lot of battling himself, he'll definitely lend a hand in multi-battles.

History:
Jules grew up in a low-income family with lots of siblings. More mouths to feed meant less money to go around, which meant Jules was limited with what he could do. Things did get better eventually though- his parents were able to work out their financial situation, his older siblings moved out to start families of their own, and even just the independence of growing older gave Jules the freedom to really go out into the world and experience life. Seeing everything he missed as a child gave him a rush he'd never quite felt until then, and since that moment he decided to spend the rest of his life chasing that same high by trying to experience as many new things as he possibly can. That's why he settled on going to Alola with his Dedenne- it was the most exotic location he could think of. He's not a hundred percent sure what he'll do when he actually gets there, but the uncertainty is half the fun of it for him.

Flavor:

• Sweet sugary foods are his absolute although he rarely eats them so he can keep his figure. He's been good at limiting his sugar intake but occasionally he'll go overboard and pay the price in the form of a few unwanted pounds as he gains weight easily.
• Although he has his favorites, Jules will always try something new when ordering food. He doesn't really hate any foods, with one exception- for some reason, so many people assume he likes soy milk when that couldn't be further from the truth. He absolutely HATES any soy-based food, and the taste of it makes him gag.
• Clementine was originally adopted by his oldest brother but she ended up liking Jules more and just kind of stuck with him. She was a pet for the longest time until Jules realized he needed a Pokemon for his Alola trip and Jules needed to buy a Pokeball specifically for that purpose.
• He loves movies and TV. It was how he experienced things as a child, and even now he still sees it as a portal to experiences events that are out of his reach.

Mika Belle | She/Her | 17 Years Old | Konikoni City, Alola

Appearance

​

Standing at a height of 5'6", Mika sports a slender body build. She has shoulder length, bushy black hair. That said however, Mika rarely lets it stay its natural hair color. She instead prefers to keep it a vibrant and eye-catching purple. Mika's eyes are a bright and turquoise-like in hue, with the bright Alolan sun giving her a sun-kissed skin complexion. Mika has a tattoo of a Koffing's skull symbol on her right shoulder-blade.

In terms of clothing, Mika tends to dress in a more punkish style. She is often seen sporting various tank tops and band t-shirts that are in various states of disrepair. A pair of boots or sneakers are almost always seen on her feet as well. Never one for skirts or dresses, Mika prefers to wear denim shorts on almost all occasions. She is never seen without her choker or checkered bracelet, the latter of which was a gift from her father before he lost his life.​

Personality

Stubborn and hard-headed are both good terms for describing Mika. She is quick to anger and even quicker to retaliate, making her quite the volatile youth all things considered. Mika has a strict, no-nonsense personality. She doesn't take to joking well and will usually brush anyone off that she finds to be either annoying or simply not worth her time. This makes many view her as cold and somewhat of a lone wolf, both of which are just fine with her. Brutally honest, Mika is not one to hold back with her words. She will tell those around her exactly what she thinks of a situation or another person, consequences be damned.

History

​

Though raised in the Alola region, Mika was originally born in Unova in Nimbasa City. She was orphaned at an early age when her parents died in a fatal car accident which sent her to live with distant relatives in Konikoni City. Mika never really came to view her her new family as her actual family. Despite their well meaning natures, she found them to be annoyances, often lashing out at their attempts to give her advice or to form some sort of bond with her. It didn't take long for a sort of resentment to form between the girl and her aunt and uncle, the younger viewing their attempts at connecting with her as some sort of attempt to make her forget about the life she formally had back in Unova when her parents were alive.

As time moved on, Mika's behavior only got worse. She began to ditch school constantly, quickly getting into fights at the drop of a hat, and at times even being seen hanging around Team Skull. While she never committed any major forms of crime, she had been known to deface public property and steal from local convenience stores as well as breaking curfew several times. The numerous encounters with the law eventually led her to have risk of being taken to juvenile hall. Thankfully for Mika, as a show of good faith, her parole officer was able to pull some strings to give her one last chance...​

Aspiration

Not by choice, Mika's goal is to complete the island challenge. She is being forced into this journey as a form of probation by the local authorities for her rather trouble-ridden behavior. Her uncle and aunt are also of the same judgement, offering it as her last chance before being evicted from her home.​

4. Despite her calm nature, Mika is absolutely terrified of bug Pokémon to the point of almost having panic attacks.

Physical Appearance:
Arden stands at 5'4" with a fair, slightly muscular build from her life permanently walking everywhere in Oblivia. Her chest-length hair is dyed pink and styled into onigiri-shaped buns and circular braids at the bottom. Arden also likes to wear makeup to accentuate her rather plain eyes, her usual look being a permanent blush on her cheeks which would look off when she gets into her mischievous mode.

Her choice of clothing is rather fashionable from looking at outfit trends, but she leans more into the floral aesthetic, with modern e-girl undertones. She likes twinning with her Pokemon, keeping the color red in mind when she does outfits of the day.

Personality:
Arden is a high energy, (semi) high profile, social media influencer of the ages. The public knows her as the Lifestyle Poketuber girl who tries anything and everything, all of the time. She takes pride in her outgoingness and ability to speak her mind with her audience supporting most of her decisions-- this recklessness however might be her downfall one day. She doesn't like to admit she's wrong when that happens, and would rather sweep the problem under the rug or fight for a lost cause (even though she genuinely believes she's right).

With the chaos of life comes Arden, who goes with the flow. Arden seeks pursuing interesting opportunities, usually given to her from brand deals and potential collaborations with other influencers. This can range from showing off her (sponsored) outfits of the day, a mukbang video of the latest treat from Kanto, a resort hopping vlog, and more.

History:
Born and raised in Cocona Village in the Oblivia region, Arden was born to two loving fathers and an honorary mother (she acted as a surrogate mom and has been "officially" their mom ever since). Her family, as kind as they are, had been too overbearing for Arden's taste as they were smothered with all the love and attention, leading to the kids being rather spoiled and undisciplined-- they were known in the town for their "twin swapping" shenanigans and the townspeople have been wary of them every since.

Aside from the minor bumps in life with the family, Arden's life has been generally easygoing, and it only skyrocketed as soon as she got the attention of the algorithm with her Poketube account. Soon she was hanging out with the cool kids and her life essentially was under the public microscope- not that she cared, people loved what she did.

Her fathers' constant smothering was wearing on her though and alongside Primrose, with their mother's encouragement, decided it was time to leave home and begin a new adventure. They were to leave for Alola.

• She's good at asking Pokemon for help and calming Pokemon down due to being from a ranger heavy place.
• Arden and Primrose chose Alola to travel to first as the island reminds them of home.
• Arden found Chloris in a flower garden and earned her trust, deciding to vibe together after that.
• Arden's Poketube account is Arden. Yes, she got lucky enough to get her own name.
• She likes to keep a really good camera phone with her and take quick videos just in case she finds a good vlogging opportunity. In the phone is also an app to edit videos. Along with her phone is a powerbank, in which she is debating getting an electric type specifically to help her with this problem.

Name: Moira Shipley
Age: 30
Pronoun(s): She/her
Hometown: Postwick, Galar

Physical Appearance: An unremarkable height of 5' 5" and a somewhat pear shaped figure, with the creamy complexion and vibrant green eyes often associated with people from the Highlands of Galar. Her long dark hair is worn loose, though she tucks it into a bun if she's wearing her top hat.

Spoiler:

Personality: A schemer, a charmer, a bit of a showboater, Moira likes to be the center of attention. She has a habit of exaggerating the truth and talking herself up, even when she's ostensibly on vacation and supposed to be relaxing. As full of herself as she may be, she likes seeing people smile, and has more than once involved herself in situations trying to help out.

History: Originally from a small town in the Highlands, Moira had a quiet, boring childhood. She traveled abroad after high school, attending university in the Unova region before returning to Galar and making a name for herself as a magician and minor celebrity.

Aspirations: Primarily here on vacation, Moira wants to relax, have an adventure, maybe meet someone cute... but she's also scouting the area to see if she can take her show abroad. She's heard stories of Alola and how spiritual the islands are, even how one can unlock mysterious powers using certain crystals. She's here to see if there's any truth to that.

☆Many of her tricks require sleight of hand or special props, but she also uses Pokémon Power, and will be on the lookout for Pokémon that can help with her act.

☆She's a skilled liar, who often has no idea what she's talking about, but can convince people she's an expert. Unless someone who actually knows about the subject is nearby.

☆Does writing and has a blog in-character where she discusses paranormal phenomena and exposes frauds. She's not a skeptic, she's actually trying to find real ghosts, psychics, or wizards, anything of the sort.

☆Will be disappointed if you haven't heard of her, but also thinks she's unrecognizable by wearing casual clothes instead of her signature outfit.

Hometown: Icirrus City, Unova

Physical Appearance: Tall and lanky, Will's at that awkward stage of adolescence where he hasn't quite come into his new stature. He has brown skin, and white hair which is growing into a spiky, shaggy mess. His eyes are naturally green, although he's taken to wearing black contacts lately.

Personality: Will is fundamentally an awkward teenager that cares way too much about how people think of him to realize that people, in general, don't really care (and those that do care, aren't the kind of people whose opinion he'd pay attention anyway).

So, in public, he makes it a point of pride to try and present himself as a snarky, cynical, disilusioned old soul in an attempt to sound and present himself as more mature because he hasn't quite figured that there's nothing inherently wrong with keeping some of his more "childish" and "immature" interests, like reading Brycen-Man comics or liking to cuddle with his Pokémon and having a secret blog just for checking out cute Pokémon pictures.

History: Will's family moved from Alola to Unova due to work reasons when Will was about five, and even though he doesn't really remember it now, it was quite an earth shattering event for him. The abrupt change - the massive weather and culture differences, meant he spent the better part of the first few weeks there crying and being generally sullen.

So his parents decided to adopt a family pet, so he wouldn't feel so alone - and after Teddy entered the picture they've been inseparable ever since and things more or less stabilized. He managed to make some friends, got used to the cold - even took up an appreciation for some of the ice sports played in his new town.

Which made the news they'd be moving back to Alola hit him even harder. So now, he's feeling alone, angry and halfway around the world for where he feels his home is.

Aspirations: He wants out of these hellishly warm islands and go back to his nice, cozy frozen wastelands. Although in a more immediate sense, he really wants to be recognized as an adult (or at least as not a kid), and he figures that as long as he's in Alola, he may as well try the Island Trials. After all, that got to make his parents see him as an adult, right?

❄️ His usual all black, sweat clothes casual wardrobe is extremely ill-suited to the tropical heat, and the only reason he gave in and started wearing something more casual was because he actually got heatstroke when he first got to the region.

❄️ He keeps his hair long in hopes that it'll grow long enough to make a man-bun, but is constantly upset because his hair just doesn't really grow that way.

❄️ Even though he screams himself hoarse at every match he sees and has even gotten himself into fist fights with some other kids about hockey teams (the Snowbelle Avallugs are not better than the Icirrus Beartics) he's actually terrible at the game.

"Well, if you aren't trying to ruin my life, you're doing a pretty good job at doing it by accident!" I yelled just before I slammed my room door.

My mother was saying something - nothing pleasant by the tone of her voice - but I didn't really care anymore. I slumped against the door as I felt hot streaks run down my face.

I tried to take a couple of deep breaths. I tried going to my happy place, but there was no helping it. The flood gates were open. I was pretty sure I sounded like a Mudsdale being slaughtered - talk about pathetic, a full-grown man crying in his bedroom.

Warm, tiny hands and feet snuggled up to me in a hug. I guess I didn't hear Teddy getting up over the sound of me wallowing in my own patheticness. Get it together, Thompson!

Still, I couldn't help myself and hugged the bear cub tighter - he just always knew how to make me feel better. After an eternity, I started to feel a bit more human again, steadying my breath and wiping my tears.

Teddy leaped off my lap as he growled and walked in the direction of the bed. "Good thinking there," I said as I got up - my butt was starting to hurt from all the sitting on the floor that I did.

As I walked to the bed, I passed the mirror and groaned. Between my tears, my snot, and Teddy's snot, my shirt was ruined. I slipped it off and fumbled around my wardrobe for another one - I really needed to get it better organized.

Teddy growled, tapping his feet. "Gimme a sec!" I mumbled in his general direction before triumphantly grabbing one of dad's old flannel shirts. It was still one size too big, but it would do the trick for laying around in bed - and if it was comfortable, warm, and felt like a hug, well ... that was just a happy little coincidence.

As I made my way to my bed and helped Teddy up, my phone dinged. A text from mom. I grunted as I turned the phone off and plopped myself on the bed.

Fumbling around the bed stand, I found my remote and turned on the television: nothing like a marathon to cheer me up. Teddy cheered at the intro as I tried to move the covers from under his butt and nestled myself in.

A couple of seconds later, I huffed and grabbed my phone. I turned it back on and sent a quick text to mom. "Sorry."

She sent back another message, but I could deal with that and the move tomorrow. A couple of hours later, I fell asleep, hoping that this was all just a bad dream.

She likes adventure and most of the time she has her mind on her inner action movie sequence that she made up because she got bored, which makes her difficult to interact with.

When she does interact with other people, though, she isn't the nicest person. Of course, it's just a facade because she wants to look tough and act like an action hero but she's actually really shy and scaredy, all bark and no bite.

History: Penny was born as an only child in Dendemille Town and her parents got divorced shortly after she was born. When she was just 5 years old, her mother reunited with a childhood friend from Alola, and they moved to Hau'oli City to get married when Penny was 7.

Physical Appearance: 5'9", skinny and lean through swimming and an active lifestyle. Typically dresses for summer in light tops, camisoles and shorts.

Personality: Ilia is as chipper and bubbly as she looks, always wearing a big smile and ready to lend a hand when it's needed. A bit airheaded, what she lacks in smarts she makes up for with hard work and a go-getting attitude, virtues she learnt from her grandparents. She is so accommodating it can actually get annoying because she doesn't know when to just leave someone to their personal space.

Ilia is also quite independent and can be stubborn when it comes to compromising her own goals. Once she gets an idea in her head she wants to follow it through without anyone to stop her. If she is held back, this is when Ilia shows a sulkier, more unlikeable side to her nature, sometimes throwing mini tantrums because she finds it hard to supress her emotions - she's very expressive. Perhaps her most unlikeable trait (for anyone who gets to see it) is that she gets heatedly jealous, which reveals a hidden mean streak.

History: Growing up in the sunny climes of Humilau City, Ilia feels right at home in Alola with her native grandparents, but she misses her friends and the school life she left behind. She was forced to move after her parents decided to take time apart (again) and her mother had nowhere else to go. Her parents were never actually married (they were always flighty and hippy-ish) so Ilia is somewhat accustomed to these break-up trips to the island.

Her Mudbray, Corky, is the foal of her grandparents' Mudsdale, but Mudsdale rejected her foal and so Ilia decided to foster him with the help of her family. Now the two are inseparable!

Aspirations: Ilia would love to become a Trial Captain - it's why she's always hanging around new trial-goers to give advice and cheer them on! But she knows giving a Helping Hand isn't enough, and that Trial Captains have to undergo the trials themselves. Ilia is determined to prove herself.

Physical Appearance:
Standing at 5'3" with warm brown eyes, pale skin, slightly muscular build, long, wavy pastel pink hair with a darker streak of pink in it, Primrose tends to be a rather, diminuitive person. The way she holds herself is very demure, as she tends to try and make herself seem as small as possible to escape notice. Her choice in clothing is also quite bland as to reflect this, but when she dresses in formal wear she can look quite stunning.

Personality:
Primrose is incredibly quiet and focused. Tends to usually remove herself from social situations as politely or as covertly as possible. She likes to concentrate on her reading and her hobby in photography and thusly prefers quiet environments. As a results she can sometimes come off as cold and unresponsive, when she's in honesty, just very anxious about talking with others.
She's an introvert through and through, but her sister is when she feels like she can loosen up a bit, even join her in a few twin pranks. When she is comfortable, she is a lot louder than people might expect her to be. Her sister and her both agree she is the evil twin. When she was younger, she was much more rambunctious and outgoing, but her school stepped in and corrected her behavior to be a 'model student.'

History:
Born and raised in Cocona Village in the Oblivia region, Primrose was born to two loving fathers and an honorary mother [a family friend who carried her and her twin for their fathers]. From a young age Primrose and her twin would always get into shenanigans, especially involving swapping places with one another. Others in Cocona quickly grew familiar and wary of this. Primrose was especially troublesome and had issues with focusing and being just a bit too loud. She was otherwise a good student but the school did not appreciate her rambunctious behavior and corrected it [getting her fathers' permission with fearmongering]. She became a much more withdrawn person because of it.
Primrose found her starter, Shiver, one morning while she was out playing. The Girafarig had injured one of her legs and Primrose quickly got her help, from her mom. Watching her mom heal the Girafarig fueled her desire to be a Pokemon Ranger. Her and the Girafarig quickly bonded and after some convincing, was allowed to keep the shiny Girafarig. Not knowing what a shiny was yet, she named her Shiver, thinking the poor thing had a serious cold. Arden had been jealous of her and Primrose noticed, but was relieved when Arden soon had her own Pokemon friend as well.
Over time Primrose found a love for photography, especially of Pokemon in their natural habitats. She never forgot her Ranger passion, but felt that photography was much more her pace. She wanted to one day maybe even have her photos in Pokemon magazines or educational books. One of the biggest reasons she felt she wasn't cut out to be a Ranger was because of her fathers' constant fussing. She felt like she was maybe too fragile for such a job, even her mother couldn't convince her otherwise.
Her fathers' constant smothering was wearing on her though and alongside Arden, with their mother's encouragement, decided it was time to leave home and begin a new adventure. They were to leave for Alola.

Aspirations: She wants to be a top notch Pokemon photographer. Hopefully for books and magazines.

Flavor:
Primrose and her twin, Arden, came to Alola because it reminds them of home. She is good at asking Pokemon for help and calming Pokemon down. Due to being from a region where Pokemon Rangers are prevalent, she had never actually caught Shiver with a Pokeball. This only occured once she arrived in Alola and had to register Shiver as her Pokemon. It was incredibly awkward for her.
She has a bulky, somewhat older camera she uses for photography. She has thought about upgrading, but currently prefers the one she has.

Roleplay Sample:
A noise in the undergrowth made her jump. Against her better judgement, she slowly inched closer and closer. She heard something give a warning sound, followed quickly with a whimper. She pulled aside a branch revealing the creature, an injured Pokemon. From recent schoolwork, she felt like this was the Johtonian Pokemon, Girafarig. The coloring was different though, and it looked young. She covered her mouth when she noticed, the leg was splayed at an awkward angle.

"Hey- hey It'll be okay." She tried to coo gently as it stared at her with fear. "I just want to help you." She managed to get up close to it, her head had hurt for a few moments, that must have been its psychic abilities, not quite yet fully developed. Then she felt sharp teeth in her arm. She quickly pulled her arm away and realized her mistake in forgetting about Girafarig's unique tail. It growled at her. She gently pat the Girafarig's neck, keeping her distance from the tail.

"It's okay. You're scared, I know." She was trying to keep calm herself, she was also scared. This Pokemon needed her help though. She didn't have anything on her to help the poor thing though. "Wait here. I'll be right back! I'm going to ask for help. Please don't go anywhere." She looked at it nervously, scared it would run off before she could get help but she had to trust it understood her.
