I don't bother rating shows. If it's good then I'll recommend it if asked. Although if I had to rate shows then it'll be based on how I enjoyed it.

I rate shows based on enjoyment and not objective quality. That's because it's gives me an opportunity to look back and find patterns in the shows I like.
