[Anime] Shipping Debates

So, what's that piece of iron that's like one centimeter away from your bra─... Oh well, too late. I guess I better move to Mexico before anyone finds out about this.

*ghost packs for Mexico for revenge*

Ehem oh, and I'm curious to see what will be the most probable ship with Dento. Does it currently appear to be Ash X Dento? Yes. Will it be? Most certainly not. Do Iris and Dento have a chance? That'd be cool.

But then, maybe it'll ease fans in by being all about Dento X newJenny and newJoy. X-l Has there been any evidence against this so far?

Plainly, if a girl isn't in the series anymore, the ship becomes deactivated

I'll say,as long as long supporters are there still supporting on a shipping,..that shipping will stay and will never die,..

I just think Misty's more likely of the three to return to Ash at the end... *dodges bullets*

*nods* Hoping that she'll return..*I hope she'll get an another cameo*
*-runs-*

According to that logic, Iris is more likely. She looks sexier in the anime than in her artwork.

Iris,is not so bad after all,although I do like the AshXIris ship (Negaishipping),she's really something new to the anime..0.o

Yah, they can't do DentoxNurse Joy or Jenny cuz Brock would be crushed when he meets himXD
I think Negaishipping will be the next big ship, well of course AshxDento won't happen in the show. Pokemon doesn't lean that way, coursse there could tons of hints at the same time. So far AshxDento seems to be a very popular Dento ship. I've seen many support this one, since he travels with Ash and seems kind of Harleyish you know what I mean, not evil the other way yah. I think IrisxDento will be the next gymshipping, friends I'd LOL If Dento shipped IrisxAsh together the way Tracey did with AshxMisty in the Orange Islands, man would that be a hoot.

Takeshi and Satoshi's handshake aftermath was kinda shippingly creepy. Ew, stop acting like girls you two...! -snickersnort-

Welp, the end of DP.
I'm... not sure if I want to stay for Best Wishes. DP was a remarkable (YES. IT SUCKED AT SOME-- A LOT-- IT JUST SUCKED. It can still be remarkable at the same time :I) journey - it would just pain me to see Satoshi alone, and later with different partners. And no, I don't have issues with change.
This episode just had a very big impact on me...

Who else actually cried?? Did anyone else actually cry? I don't mean just tears in your eyes, I mean actual crying? I cried from when Ash and Brock left on the ship to all the way through the ending theme (only made worse by having clips from throughout DP). I was taken completely by surprise, I didn't think I would cry at all, but I just randomly felt so sad when they left her and had to cry. I didn't feel sad at all when May left. I cried for like 2 minutes just now XD I hardly remember Takeshi and Satoshi leaving each other though...I'll watch that part again.

I really liked the Pochama/Pikachu shipping, and, I suppose, Pearlshipping when Dawn was left alone. Dawn didn't get some sort of "momentum" from Ash like some people thought. But I agree with whoever said about the high touch being their symbol ~ *sniff* I want to watch the ending again ~ *watches* Haha, they had our "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, and these two men are gonna do it with or without a good woman at our side" scene in the clips at the end XD I agree with Azumi, although there was some crappy parts to this series, I've actually really enjoyed it at the same time, somehow. Just looking through those clips of Chimchar, the Wallace Cup, this has been a pretty good series.

And now Ash leaves us for a month to get his eye transplant T.T

But you might like Dento and Iris, plus tons new shipping. I look forward to seeing Ash interact with new cast. Course that's just me =[

I don't know how Iris will replace Dawn. I sure will miss her. That last scene was interesting, waving goodbye, performing the last "High Touch", (then a feeling of sadness?). And it was different since Ash and Brock were leaving on the ship, leaving Dawn behind. It's the opposite when May left. This one looked even more touching than with Misty or May.

Omfg, Dawn's departure actually had real emotion. Really, the whole episode I was on the verge of bursting to tears even though I had no freakin idea what anyone was saying 90% of the time.

Oh well. Please excuse me, I need to go drool over Iris now.

May's departure didn't really have much momentum and happened EXTREMEMLY quickly, but the whole episode was used on THIS one, with Piplup's tantrum (which got me crying TWICE the two times I watched - one with a sucky video and one HD) and all that bye-bye stuff. ;^;

I laughed there. XD I never expected to see that in the montage (although I did expect that Brock would get his own mini-montage), so it was even better.

Yes yes, I know I will like them sooner or later. I just kinda feel sad, that's all.
That, and there are so many things happening now - new DS games incoming, school, and now this. ;^;

:O Oh, I never thought of it that way! That's maybe why I felt even sadder than the other two's 'last scenes'.
Well, it also was because I followed DP and the episodes I watched (during DP) when I was mature enough was even more than the previous ones added together X3 I never rewatched the original and AG was rather fuzzy...

Yah, nearly had me going, some cute Pearlshipping scenes too. The last high five was the best, Ash was really excited to give one. Than the begining when Dawn wanted to wake Ash upXD And at the end when Ash said what Dawn normally said, which cheered her up a bit. I shall miss this ship, I'll wait for Dawn's cameo though. We don't know where Dawn is going next, she didn't say Zoey or Kenny at all so YAY Pearlshipping is more so left up in the air on a good note.

Was there actually any point in Dawn travelling around with Ash? Misty wanted her bike, May learnt from Ash and ended up copying his battle style so had to leave...Dawn just tagged along with Ash with no real benefit for herself along the way. I think her journey would've been pretty much the same if she had travelled by herself :S Ash helped her out with one appeal move (I think that was it), but Zoey could've helped her out. So are both Zoey and Dawn staying in Sinnoh?

Whoops, I meant "memento", not "momentum". Dawn didn't get a memento from Ash. Yeah, I agree, May was just shipped off really quickly after her contest. But I also think it has to do with watching DP from start to finish, whereas I only watched Battle Frontier out of AG all the way through :P

And it was different since Ash and Brock were leaving on the ship, leaving Dawn behind. It's the opposite when May left. This one looked even more touching than with Misty or May.

Ah, that might be why I felt sad, I felt sorry for Dawn being so lonely by herself. If she was the one deciding to leave them behind, it might not have been *as* bad.

I assume Dawn just didn't want to travel alone at the begining so she just went with Ash and Brock. Than as time went on she developed a close friendship with Ash, don't know about Brock to me it seemed like they barley interacted. Ask for Dawn, she knew all kinds of things from the start unlike May who was a newbie with every thing. Her mom was into contests from the start, so she was already into that and wanted to be just like her and win the Grand Festival. She learned a few things from Ash, he taught her to be brave and give her courage when she needed it, pushed her foward when she was sad during the begining of the contest arc. Zoey wouldn't have done that would she have? Zoey's advice made her sad in fact. I felt bad cuz Dawn didn't really want to leave her friends, she wanted to travel with them some more she was so close to them.

I think another reason I cried was because when the ship left the port, it felt like I MYSELF was leaving Sinnoh, and it's like a great (though sucky) saga is further and further away from me, bit by bit. That's why I kinda started to cry ;^;

I don't know, but Dawn heard from Brock that they were going to Oreburgh through Jubilife, and that's when she suggested they all go together.
So no, she just wanted to travel with someone else, I think.

What? Memento? o3o Oh, yeah. Well, to be honest I think that the memories you create together with someone else doesn't need any memento or anything.
...although that would create some problems for Dawn because there will be no memento to remind Ash of herself.
I think that is true for me too. XD I never watched the previous seasons (and probably won't watch it again), and when I "really" started watching Kanto Battle Frontier was going to end. So that's why I feel connected more to DP more than any other saga, and it's why I love Sinnoh/Gen IV more than any other region/gen.

That's what I thought too. What is Dawn's motive after the Grand Festival? Even before that she didn't mind battling. May was ready to drop the gym battles and go for contests.

I never felt a connection with the Hoenn arc. Mainly because I didn't have the games with me (in fact much later, in a different form).

Interesting how Dawn didn't give a memento to Ash. I wonder what that could mean...could Dawn have something else in store?

Lol truer words never spoken.

I think that this might mean Dawn won't make an appearance again, or at least not for a really long time. Actually, it might be really poignant is she *does* show up again later, but like halfway through Isshu. Then, and this might seem odd, but then I might support Pearlshipping.

It's hard to explain. But on the other hand, if Dawn shows up again pretty early into the series, it might come off as mucho awkward. Because after this touching goodbye, it'd be like, "Oh heyyy guyyyyyyz, I'm back for a little while... alright goodbye for real now... mhm..." Has that ever happened to you in real life? I feel like I might just be drawing on personal experiences. XP

So? Misty had a touching good-bye and she still returned for an appearnce in AG. Dawn will likely show up like the previous girls did, only this time she has no reason to other than really wanting to Ash agian, Pearlshipping FYI. I mean May had contests involved, entering in the Wallace Cup, but contests won't be in the next region. So shey'll just want to see Ash this time, things were left in the opean too between these two :)

So what there's no contests....musicals are in the same vein. Dawn will return for that, as you know she likes to try new things, from contests to battling to musicals. She definitely wouldn't miss an opportunity like that.

Blah, the memento from Dawn to Ash was what I meant D: I said it correctly in my post that said "momentum" :P Ash went home to Kanto with a carrier bag, so perhaps he has something to remember Sinnoh/Dawn in there

That sounds like a McDonalds advert XD

...I saw something like that on a socially awkward penguin picture. So, I think there are other people who feel the same...XD

I dunno, after this goodbye I think it would seem awkward after as well. They might just leave it later like they did with May, which we didn't see until about DP70ish

Lol Dawn the Awkward Penguin. (And she has a Piplup!!! I think we're onto something...)

It'd be really cool if there was a mysterious person entering musical contests and it later turned out to be Dawn. Maybe they'd figure it out after she used her Piplup again, or when she calls a move by the name that it literally is. "I call this move...Flame-ice!"

But he really was a McSame wasn't he.

Obviously it'll be Iris doing the musicals, then it'll be the same old soup all over again. Just with new people.
