Why am I always tired?
 
Dinosaurs. Left Earth long ago after overhunting their prey. Staged a big catastrophe. Disappeared in the confusion. Waits for the population to bounce back.

Will probably be a while before their return, fortunately. Discovered the truth in the 1750's. Devised the Industrial Revolution as a bulwark. Caused enough climate change to kill off enough species to avoid looking too juicy. Continues those practices today for that reason.
