Listening to KISS live in concert is way better than listening to KISS on Spotify. I don't know why. My dad feels the same way, not just with KISS but other bands like Bon Jovi and Van Halen.

As far as live recordings go, I can't think of any that sound better than studio recordings. Though No Leaf Clover by Metallica is really good, but there was never an actual studio cover of it since it was performed with an orchestra.

However I do feel that most bands/songs sound much better live, especially when it comes to rock/metal. Hearing Slash play guitar through the radio is nothing compared to hearing him play on stage, his solo in November Rain is WAY better live.

I will have a good think, but the first thing that jumps out at me is Non Ho L'Eta by Gigliola Cinquetti.

The live version from the 1964 Sanremo music festival and that year's ESC is simply beautiful:

All later and recorded versions are accompanied by ridiculously annoying instruments:

Ignore the caption. This is not how it was performed at Sanremo despite this version appearing on the official album :(

See what I mean? I would kill for a HQ or recorded version that sounds like the original live one, but I haven't found one yet ;( 😭

Rammstein songs in general. While I like most Rammstein songs in general, seeing them live is something different (pryotechnics and random explosions <3)

Crazy In Love by Beyonce is a song that I always prefer the many live versions over the studio version. Her vocals have improved so much since the studio version was released and she always puts a new spin on the song in her live performances.

    Queen.
