OK, OK, bear with me here. I know that a lot of people are polarised about whether Attack on Titan is a good series or not, but I have good news for those who wanted to enjoy it but found the twisty messy story baffling.

Chapter 86 actually tells us things!​

So it's time for this thread to make a return! No longer shall we adore Attack on Titan from the shadows, time to rise up and delve in to the world and see what people think.

Here's my brief mind-dump on Chapter 86!

Spoiler: Chapter 86 Spoilers

Ahhhh.

So we now know where Annie/etc. have been coming from. And we can just about see what their logic is for invading the walls. It's a bit trippy how this place has many parallels to the world we already knew (albeit that's just an Island called Paradi/Paradis(?) now).

We also have a number - there are only 9 titan shifters at most. I've already seen some theories that actually there are only 8 now and I'm pretty sure we know most of them! :o

Finally, the biggest story reveal IMO, Zeke is confirmed to be Eren's half-brother. Makes some of the odd things he said recently make A LOT more sense.

Who is your favourite character? Connie Springer.
What predictions do you have about the future of AoT? I don't know if this means the manga itself or the world inside. For the latter, I'm gonna say everybody's gonna be fucking dead.
What did you think of the latest chapter/episode? The latest episode came out nearly four years ago tho lol.

I really like it, even if it was a bit confusing. I feel like, for once, get the informations we want. I am afraid it's a bit too rushed tho, but the next chapter will show us the impact of such informations!

What is your favourite chapter or episode? This is a tough one, because so many exciting things have happened throughout their travels. I would probably say that my favorite chapters are probably 85 and 86 as well, because the answer to the cliffhanger from episode **1**!!!! finally being answered of

what's in the basement. The way episode 85 ended with that photograph was such an awesome reveal!

Who is your favourite character? Action-wise would probably be Mikasa and Levi because they both are unbelievably amazing fighters and can do what most other Survey Corps members can't. Mystery/intrigue-wise would be Grisha, for obvious reasons.

What predictions do you have about the future of AoT?

Spoiler: My previous theory, just to be safe

Well episode 86 sorta completely foiled my theory. I had thought that AoT might take place in the semi-distant future of ours after scientists had developed those serums to create super-soldiers (Capt. America anyone?) and the experiments had gone terribly wrong. This was the main reason all science is suppressed inside the walls, and that Grisha would have had a huge stockpile of "advanced" technology/scientific notes hidden in the basement.

Spoiler: With the new information from Ch 86

With the revelation that they are on the island, I could see them heading to the "mainland" after defeating Zeke and the others in that group. The Marley Government may send other waves of Shifters before they can travel off the island, but I feel like the conflict won't truly end until they have faced off against the Marleyan Government and either unite the lands or the Eldian Restoration Movement wins/takes over.

What did you think of the latest chapter/episode? Wowowowowowow!! Chapter 86 answered so many questions, and yet opened up several new ones! I'm extremely excited to see not only how the story progresses, but when the anime catches up to where the manga is at.
