Auto-double posting

    Over the past week and a half I've noticed that every once in a while when I try to post a reply using the quick reply form, It will automatically do a double post and take me to the full editor with the message or it will post the message and give me the dialog that I am trying to post a duplicate of a message that I've posted in the last 5 minutes and then takes me to that post.
    Now I only ever hit the add reply button once. I'm thinking this is a small glitch that has occurred and has yet to be ironed out in the VB 3.7 RC.

    It's been happening a lot, it always happens when I post in the RP section, but it's kind of an on/off occurance in the G&P for me. It's really irritating, because then everyone's like, "OMG YOU DOUBLE POSTED AKJGWODF;SH?!?!"

    <_< I would love to know the reason as well. Whoever answers has my eternal gratitude.
     
    I have this same problem as well. Clicking the quick reply button often leads me to a duplicate post notice which then redirects to Advance View.
     
    It happens to me way too many times, but I didn't know if it was just my computer being stupid, PC's servers being odd, or what. Since other people have had the same problem, it's definitely not my computer. :3

    It happens to me often in FTiP and OVP.
     
    Yeah, it's the same for me. Of course then it pops up with the "This is a duplicate of a po.... etc. etc.".
     
    well I just checked the VB site and there appears to be a thread about some other people noting this behavior after upgrading to RC3, but so far there is no answer as to how to fix it
     
    I'm getting something similar. Every once and while, it tells me that I have posted the same message twice in the past five minutes. Now, it only post once, but it yells at me. ;-;
     
    It's happened to me a few times, sometimes with the normal Advanced reply too.
    I thought it was just my Internet, since it's been playing up lately. O_o

    But I delete the duplicate before anyone notices ;;
     
    it could be a bug in vB 3.7 or more likely, related to how long the javascript processes for during the quick-reply posting (its happened to me too, and luckily it self-fixes) usually under higher server loads..

    I'll check with vB to see if others have similar problems and work from there to 'fix' it.

    It happens to me on every single post. Its quiet annoying...
    and its probably going to happen in this post while I type. I guess I'll stick to the post reply button.
     
    Yeah it happens to me too, mostly in the Member Fanclubs and Other Clubs. It is so annoying. I thought maybe I clicked on the Post Quick Reply twice and that is why I got that message. But I know I clicked it only once. I had to delete my post and post it again so it won't seem like I double posted. Well at least everyone knows it is a bug. Hopefully that bug will disappear.
     
    I was wondering about this too. It does it every time I try to Quick Reply. (So it will probably do it this time too.) It has also done it once, so far, when I go about it via the Post Reply button as well.
    I thought it was just my internet or my piece of crap computer. Apparently they aren't at fault this time. Amazing!

    I know little to nothing about the technical side of computers, but perhaps there's an update needed somewhere? I know, I'm not much help. >_<

    Same here, Well it might just be my net, when i click quick reply it takes like 2 minutes to actually reply...
     
    Yeah, I've been getting the "This is a duplicate of a past post" message a lot...
    It's wierd. It makes me think I double clicked the button >_<
