    In main-series, we tend to have a backpack with ourselves so that we would be able to carry our things. Strangely, however, we are able to fit a variety of items (Poké Balls, recovery items, keys, bicycles, you name it) inside these bags, and to nearly an infinite quantity. Do any of us find ourselves thinking about this, and if so, has it bothered anyone before? If we don't find this to make too much sense, what changes would we put forth to improve and have it seem more realistic?

    Those bikes fold up pretty well!
    I used to find it strange but I don't mind it now. It annoyed me when my bag was full in the earlier gens and I'd try to pick up something in the middle of a route and fail.

    I remember the old days when your bag actually had a limit and you had to store items in the PC if your bag was full. I felt much happier come 4th Gen and its changes to the bag to now make it have infinite storage, which wouldn't usually make sense but then again, Pokemon does have stuff that wouldn't make sense every now and then.

    Back in Gen 3 we have a limit to store items in bag or PC Which makes at least some sense .But In Newer Generations i'm very happy that I can store infinite items but it is sort weird as that makes no complete sense at all as Storing Infinite Items is really Possible?

    Video game logic bruh. Remember your Legend of Zelda!

    Every character has the power of Mary Poppins infinite inventory space.

    There's an excessive amount of available items, so an infinite bag is quite relevant regarding that fact. Especially in later-gen games who introduced dozens of new stuff.

    I liked that the bag could actually get full in older generations. It added a smidgen of realism, despite the fact that you had collapsible bikes and fishing rods, not to mention potions and remedies of various sizes rolling about in there.

    Well, the world of Pokemon is pretty high tech. If a Wailord can be caught in a poke ball, I'm sure there's a way to fit all those items into one bag.

    As for the bikes, the bikes are specifically described as collapsible, meaning you fold them up to put them in your backpack.

    Plus, Poke Balls are Bigger on the Inside. Who's to say that the Bags aren't using similar tech?

    Dungeons and Dragons has magic items known as bags of holding, I have always been convinced the Pokémon backpack must be enchanted with similar magic. I'm happy with that, a limited number of items you could carry was terrible, you reached the limit pretty quickly, certainly with the large number of possible held items (of which you each have only one) that don't stack.

    My belief on it? If their world's technology allows them to fit a WAILORD inside a baseball sized Pokeball... then something as big as a backpack could carry everything you could ever need and more.

    Well, if you think about the likes of Wailord, Kyogre, Groudon, fitting in a tiny Pokéball.Things like Bike fitting in a bag don't really matter anymore. {XD}

    But yeah, I guess the same can be applied on items? Except our bags don't have any standard shapes and capture function like Pokéballs?

    It's hard to complain about the infinite backpacks of the later games when you've played RBY and experienced its hellish single pocket, 20 item bag.

    I always found the fact that you can put bykes, fishing rods, and lots of other things in a backpack really strange! Despite that feature from the older generations that we have a limited amount of items on that backpack was a pain, we have to say that it's more realistic! But I'm happy with the infinite items on the backpack feature! Maybe it's a like a PokéBall, the items might go to another dimension, we don't know ...

    I never really thought about it, but it really is kind of unrealistic to have unlimited storage space. However, I am certainly glad that it is that way since it was a pain to have to throw items away or store them in order to keep playing.
