There are a lot of games that get bad reviews or are just bad in a lot of people's opinions. But you may like them. What makes you find these games that everyone else seems to dislike for some reason? Try to convince people who either don't know or have already decided that they won't play it based on reviews to play it. Or on the other end of the scale, try to warn people against playing games that got great reviews.

I love deadly towers, but it seems to be the most universally hated game ever... In fact it's what got me into RPGs and Fantasy games as a whole... For whatever reason the gameplay appealed to me, but I honestly don't blame the bad reviews; the game is really cheap.

I feel like pretty much every JRPG is considered bad by reviews =D
Anyways, I cannot really say much because I generally don't even read reviews =D
But I think reviews generally don't help much... they can only help you prevent from playing...

    Earthbound? :D

Well, I'd say I like the CD-i Zelda games for their unique qualities - the cutscenes are so bad they're hilarious, two of them put Zelda in the spotlight and gave her a voice, one has live action scenes, and there are some - and I mean SOME - curious game ideas. They aren't good at the end of the day, but checking out an LP is definitely worth trying.

Well, the problem with reviews is that everyone has their own opinion, and that could hinder their overall review by being biased \: So even though I do sometimes take into account the scores, and criticism that games get from the general public, they don't necessarily hold me back from trying new games out. Unfortunately though, some of those negative reviews do reflect the game, in my experience anyway.

Just looking at my games library, I can tell that I've, thus far, only invested in games that have gotten good ratings. The only one that I think has been considered "bad" is Time & Eternity. Played that for a couple hours, and was already sick of it so that wouldn't be my answer :c I'd have to go home, and look through my shelf to figure out.

Diablo 3. I think it would have been even better if that regrettable Auction House wasn't ever implemented. Blizzard claims that it was removed because, while convenient (loose term) it "undermine Diablo's core gameplay." So yeah, people actually -gasp- had to play the game!

I'm kinda addicted to this game even though I haven't yet played the extension, Reaper of Souls.

Hm... I'd say Rayman. It's not exactly bad or anything, but it is heavily underrated, though; not many people know of its existence, and those who do don't really bother giving it a try. If they did, they would have liked it, I'm sure. I'm glad I've gotten into this series; it's awesome. My favorite game so far would probably have to be Origins; have played through it about three times already. :] Aside from Rayman, I can't really think of any other stuff, haha.

Sonic 06, And yes, I love it because of how bad it is.

I love breaking this game, Especially as sonic. Finding and trying to exploit all those little glitches that make this game famous. The power up crystals are so freaking broken, especially the more expensive ones that you have to beat the game again to have enough rings to purchase them.

I love seeing the look on peoples faces when I can say, Not only have I beaten sonic 06, I enjoyed it! I'm currently working on S ranking all the missions, With the crystals it's much easier but the mach speed segments make it tricky. I should have bought the ring magnet shield sooner, It makes S ranks so much easier.

The sound track is outstanding, Whenever people say there is nothing good about sonic 06 I instantly shove the soundtrack in their face. Of course being a sonic game it's soundtrack is gonna be good but I'd dare say it's soundtrack beats the sonic adventure series. My favorite theme is the final boss fight theme, It makes this glitchy mess feel epic almost single handedly.

And of course I love the corny, awful story. It's so easy to make fun of. Heck, The villan's whole plan is to make a princess cry, it's that bad. about half the Scenes with Boobs Rogue the bat is actually quite hilarious cause she often times has this incredibly bored look on her face making thi "Epic story" all the more hilarious. This is best durring the end of the game where the literal everything is being destroyed and it looks like she couldn't even be bothered.

I love this game, I don't care that it's awful, it just makes it that much better.

I'd have to say Dante's Inferno for the Xbox 360. It got OK reviews due to everyone saying it was a God of War knockoff - which I can definitely see the argument and resemblance between the two - but as it was one of the first Xbox games I ever owned I have a pretty soft spot for it. Plus, although it's quite an easy game, I think it has a lot of replay value, as it's one of the only games that I can recall that actually plays through each of the circles of Hell (as it's based off of The Divine Comedy.)

Either way, it's a great game. You should definitely check it out if you get the chance. It's only $7 at GameStop.

I love Final Fantasy 13. I don't even need to explain myself.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing - The entire game really is a joke from start to finish.

It's like similar to one of those "good bad" movies. The developers tried seriously to make a competent game but instead every single aspect of it just fails hilariously.

I like Hunted: The Demon's Forge, and the only reason I'm not afraid to say so is that I'm confident none of you know what that game is.

This. I was originally going to get the game when it first came out, but thankfully some of my friends got it first and told me of the atrocities. After I heard Blizzard was fixing it and the new DLC, I love the game. I haven't been able to stop playing much to my wifes chagrin. :P

Sonic Heroes. I don't really know if it's a "bad game", but not many people seem to like it. I like it because it's fun and gives me adrenalinnne.

Final Fantasy X-2 was kind of a flop in many reviews, and understandably so, in comparison to Final Fantasy X. I still loved it, though, and I had a lot of fun playing it. Granted, I was like 10 when I played it and have not replayed it since, but from what I remember of it, it was not so terrible.

Rule of Rose, also. There is no defending the gameplay at all, and as a game it really does deserve the reviews it gets, but the story is excellent (imo, albeit unsettling and disturbing) and the details and symbolism they put in it deserves some merits.
