Bandwagons. Some of us hate them, some of us really hate them, but to some of us, they're useful...

How do you generally feel about bandwagons in games? Do you avoid them, or do you just go with the crowd and hop on board? How about when you're mafia? Have you ever attempted to engineer a bandwagon against a specific player? Or do you just wait for one to crop up, and help it take off?

Perhaps if we finally come together and discuss the dreaded bandwagon, they can one day become a thing of the past! Or more likely they'll forever remain a staple of TU, and we'll become masters at manipulating them

    fucking bandwagons

The only time I ever want to see a bandwagon is if it's because each and every person thought and read into the clues and agree with the consensus before them. Otherwise I get pretty annoyed when people come in and hop in a bandwagon and that's their only post in the entire day phase. :/

Those kind of people are the ones I'll likely go to lynch for if I'm innocent. If I'm mafia? Well, if and when I'm mafia, that's up to other players to find out what I do.

...Although starting bandwagons does feel pretty gratifying whenever they pay off pending on which side you're on. :)

I hop on them if it is inevitable. I'll tend to point them out though if I feel like some BS is happening.

I usually say, "Weird how x, y, and z all just voted for the same person so easily..."

There's always a pattern to the chaos xD Like Klippy mentioned, when something seems like too much of a coincidence, I take note of it. It's always hard though to tell if people are starting bandwagons out of strategy, or just laziness haha

    Sometimes it's both!

    Sometimes you didn't even mean to start a bandwagon. ;-;

Bandwagons are good if they work out IN your favor ^^

Yeah, if there's a nice layer of logic and speculation underneath the bandwagon then I'd gladly hop on it (or I'll go hop on a bandwagon against someone that's not making any contributing posts at all (like .gif spamming)).

I'd probably hop on bandwagons Day 3 and up. Don't count me in on Day 1 or 2 'cause I don't trust people much on the first 2 days. x:

Bandwagons are just something one has to deal with in mafia. Besides its the only way for the game to get moving (if everyone sat around with suicidal thoughts or random votes, nothing will be accomplished and just gives the mafia a free pass).

Joke wagons are like the weirdest train wrecks like I don't even see how some people follow along so seriously. -__-

Bandwagons are definitely what you want when you're mafia though. The Lycans helped in engineering two bandwagons, because of the double lynch effect. That was fun. XD

Band wagons are good in the sense that we get to know who's being lynched before being lynched. It can also pressure them to make roleclaims which gives out information, especially if it's a bluff.

Hate them. As mentioned, unless everyone is voting because they've read a clue the same way etc its just lazy.

    "I'll vote x"
    "me too"
"yeah me as well that post they did that i didnt find suspicous is definitely suspicious now"

    ok lets not.

I don't mind a well placed bandwagon as long as the starter seems to have a decent reason for them. I may jokingly play the "I wanna ride" card; but rest assured I've usually read everything since my last visit and can tell if it's a scumwagon* or a legitimate bandwagon for a good reason.

    * Scumwagon is when mafia or other 'evil' faction is blatantly trying to soft blame or frame onto someone else to avoid lynches. Usually when I spot this I say so; if it will help.
