Ok so in the original games of RS we had what the battle tower? Well that was ok in my opinion but then we had emerald. Now in emerald we had a whole frontier this place we could get badges both silver and gold! Now this was a bit challenging since level up didnt matter but it was about the pokemon and the moves. There was a lot of battles to go through to get to the frontier brains who held the badges so some people skipped it some people took it to hard and went hardcore.

In Oras they dont have the frontier which is to be expected so for all u emerald players what did u think? Did u take on the battle frontier? Who was the most challenging brain? Did u receive all the silver badges? Did u receive all the gold badges? And overall opinion and how much u miss it if u do like i do! And if u got all the gold badges you are amazing i found that extremely hard!

    Discuss!

Here's just some pics i love and for anyone who is new to them and wanna
see what they actually look like although these arent straight from the games haha.

I really liked the Battle Frontier Pokémon Emerald had; it was rather explore-able, if you ask me, which is nice!

Of all Battle Facilities, I would say my most favorite was Battle Factory. Although I never got around to defeating the brain, I still found it to be quite fun to be participating here; selecting Pokémon, setting up a three-member team, and so forth. We were also required to lay out a strategy in order to defeat as much opponents as possible, which had helped in making the place feel more engaged, I believe.

Second favorite is definitely Pike, as it's the only Facility I was able to defeated. Queen Lucy was absolutely tough, as her Pokémon were superbly bulky. Though, thankfully, I was still able to take her down.

Ah, the Battle Frontier. I really loved it, and it sure gave me a lot to do after beating Emerald. My biggest incentive for challenging it was to listen to the Frontier Brains' battle music.

My personal favorite was the Battle Tower, mostly because it revolved around straight-up skill, rather than gimmicks. Despite this, I deeply enjoyed most of the other gimmicks, especially those of the Factory, Pike, and Pyramid, which all gave me a sense of accomplishment.

The only one I couldn't stand was the Battle Palace, because I couldn't tell my Pokémon what to do. I mean, it was a cool concept and all, but it just felt out of place in my opinion.

Back then, I managed to get all of the silver symbols, but the only gold symbol I won was Lucy's. I guess I just didn't know how to build a proper team back then, let alone teach my Pokémon the proper moves.

All in all, the Battle Frontier was a great experience, and I hope it returns in the future one way or another.

Battler Frontier made me hit the 999:99 counter.

    That's all I'm gonna say.

Most of the Brain Frontiers or whatever they are called are amazing, worth the mention.

And the Battle Factory is LOVE!

I myself obtained all the silver symbols and got like queen Lucy's gold and then went on and tried to get gold....ya didnt happen. I really do hope they return it though like a lot!

Oh god, Battle frontier was my house after gaining access to it, I had all the golden symbols so yeah. I loved it, I really loved it.

Wow mega congrats thats quite an accomplishment! I found it extremely hard to get all the golden symbols and i really didnt have the time haha

I did spend some time at the Battle Frontier when I played through Emerald so many years ago. I remember getting all the Silver symbols in 2005, but the only Gold symbol I got was the one at the Battle Pyramid, before I lost my game late that year. And in my newest file (five years ago) I hardly put any time into it at all. I feel like part of what turned me off from it was always having to have your team at the same level (which, thankfully, Platinum/HGSS' Battle Frontier fixed by always setting them to Level 50), which was not fun to contend with given RSE's awful training measures.

But that's not to say it wasn't good; I think the facility I spent the most time with was the Pyramid or the Pike.

That's really cool that u got the gold symbol of the battle pyramid i found it extremely hard to get the close to that haha. Hmm i never found the level thing a problem in emerald because of the constant re challenging of trainers :)

I also lost my emerald game back in 2008, i literally ripped the whole house apart trying to find it to this day i couldnt find it i ended up buying a new one but my file was still gone :(

I really like the Battle Frontier. It's no doubt one of my favourite features in the Pokémon series. However, because I never had my own copy of Emerald, I very rarely got to go there. It's that one location I just really want to experience more often, but I can't because A. My brother's copy of Emerald is dead or B. ROMs won't allow me, since their data gets wiped after beating the Champion. Because of that, I never got any of the Symbols.

My favourites are the Battle Pike and the Battle Factory. But mostly the Battle Factory. Trying out new Pokémon and experimenting them is fun and refreshing.

The Battle Frontier was one of the most memorable experiences I had with Pokémon video games.
It still holds a special place in me.

Oh gods, I have a lot to say; the Battle Frontier was pretty much one of my most favourite elements from playing Pokemon Emerald because it had a lot to offer to us as pokemon battlers! Lets see, I remember struggling against Lucy when I was younger a lot because I didn't have a steel type back then and well, a steel type kind of wrecks her party because Shuckle won't be able to do anything, which btw was the annoying thing about battling against Lucy, to try and counter that Shuckle. xD

The rest of the battle frontier members weren't all that bad for me though. When I was against Greta, I was only worries about that Confuse Ray Umbreon of hers since we only had like, a couple of turns until those rounds were over, but gods, one slip up, and your pokemon will be unusable, uuurgh. Against Tucker, I think I was using Heracross, Jolteon, and Salamence in which, Salamence was able to perform a Dragon Dance and pretty much wipe out Tucker's party, teehee. Anabel, I was only worried about her Snorlax. Too much Curses can prooooove disaterous. Fortunately, Heracross solved that problem before it got bad! The rest, really no trouble at all. :3

Oh! Can I mention the music?!

The music was pretty great! It got really intense at times and this music really shows the heated ness. :3
