6th Gen Battle Tents!

    In Emerald, we saw 3 of 4 contest halls get replaced by Battle Tents, which are like mini Battle Frontiers, which, has a specific challenge in each Tent, corresponding to the same challenge that is found in the Battle Frontier.

    Considering we see a yellow building occupy where the Contest Halls stood, do you think that the Battle Tents has replaced Contest? Do you want to see the Battle Tents back in the game?

    I'd like to keep contests, though I did prefer having them all in Lilycove. I didn't ever like the battle tents (inferior version of the frontier) so I'd rather see them put something brand new there.
     
    I'm pretty certain that the buildings are contest halls. Upon closer observation of the updated map in all contest locations (Verdanturf, Fallarbor, Slateport, Lilycove) all of them have the same looking building.

    Unless contests have been totally removed from the game, which I doubt.

    As a former RS player (hardly played Emerald), I won't really want to see the return of Battle Tents. I like the Battle Frontier, but I feel that Battle Tents are totally unnecessary. I would prefer to see those buildings to be boutiques rather than battle tents.

    However, I DO prefer consolidated contests. So that's a problem haha.

    I personally prefer contests but sometimes the battle tents were fun to play too.
     
    I preferred contests, I'm not even sure whether we will see the BF return. I'm hoping it's just covered by clouds on the Hoenn artwork map, however seeing as it was a feature introduced in Emerald and not Ruby or Sapphire.. It's sort of hit and miss.
     
    I like the tents than the contest halls. For me, they provide more fun than contests (although I am severely biased in here since I was never the contest person.) Just like what they did in Emerald, I like the contest all in one spot.

    I hope they don't return Battle Tents. It seems unnecessary tbh. If they have to add anything other than contests, they should go with Pokeathlons :33
     
    I don't mind if Battle Tents return, nor would I mind if they didn't make a comeback. They sort of helped prepare the player for some of the Frontier facilities (plus, they gave out prizes, which is always nice); however, I didn't find them all that entertaining and was disappointed that I had to wait until Lilycove to take part in contests. I also found the contests in RSE to be somewhat dull, but I'm hoping GF will revamp them to make them more interesting. They could also revamp the Battle Tents to give out better prizes (maybe shards or something for Move Tutors if those return?), and/or some BP.
     
    I never enjoyed the Battle Tents, and waiting until Lilycove City for Contests was kinda tedious in Emerald. I do think they may retain the contest buildings in Slateport City, Verdanturf Town and Fallarbor Town like the originals but remember how HG/SS implemented elements from Crystal and also re-used the Battle Frontier from Platinum.

    So if they do decide to follow Emerald's format I may not be as pleased but I hope the contests can function like the ones in Sinnoh. I didn't like the way contests in Hoenn worked, with the whole "take points away" system.

    I liked the back and forth. I hope contests return, and not Super Contests (which are the Sinnoh kind).
     
    I don't really think I have much of a preference as to what takes over that spot. It was kind of annoying to have to fly to the different cities to enter different ranks, but on the other hand it was also kind of annoying to have to wait to participate in contests. I don't think I mind whichever they put in!
     
    Hm, I didn't really participate in those Battle Tents much. Still, if they make a return, I hope that they have more incentives to participate..

    Like, I didn't have much reason to participate other than 'just for kicks', and they didn't really influence much of anything. If they make a return, I would like them to have like, different prizes, like really rare pokemon, sort of like they've done for the game corner, but if they have prizes like.. Dratini, maybe Bagon, or a starter pokemon? That'd be pretty awesome. :3
     
    I want Tents to come back, though not at the expense of pokemon contests. Because when you had to wait until Lilycove to enter in contests, it was annoying.
     
    Yeah, I kinda hated how the contests were merged into one single building. If we are lucky, we won't be able to see the Tents. I think they should stick with the Battle Frontier :P
     
    I found both to be pretty pointless, if I'm honest. I always seen them as a waste of space. I hope we see something more imaginative replace them, to be honest. Specific buildings to expand towns to be more interesting. There's enough competitive battling opportunities late game, and contests are pretty well covered in Lilycove.

    So I reallllly hope we see new buildings in replace of the contest halls or battle tents.

    The map shows all the contest halls in each of the four towns they were in the previous games so chances are contests are back to their RS locations.
     
    They maybe contests, they may be tents, hell, they may be even Boutiques for all we know. All we know for certain is that there will be something in that place.
