    After collecting all 16 badges, you can finally traverse up Mt. Silver and battle Red. In generation II, his Pokemon were all in the high level 70s. In HG/SS, his team is all in the high level 80s. He respawns, at least, in generation IV I think, every time you beat the Elite Four.

    What did you think of this battle? Did you have trouble with him?
     
    He's in Gen 7 too at the Battle Tree with the same classic team...I was a bit underleveled, but on the other hand had Zekrom and Reshiram with me, but only had one pokemon go down and that was due to my own reckless gambit decision making and because Fusion Flare missed. If I'd made a switch when I should have I would've walked right through lol.
     
    I haven't fought him in Gen 4, only Gen 2.

    He's easy. I usually do it with a team of low level 50's.

    Red does not have good move sets at all, and it's easy to exploit this.

    1.It's funny how the fan translated pokemon silver rom calls him Ash XD
    2.Only his Snorlax was an problem for me, his pikachu is very easy, since they're "low tier" (never beat his pikachu in shiny gold sigma thought😱 )
     
    Played HGSS first before the OG games so I faced 'roided Red as a kid. I'll never forget how I went from blissfully arrogant to endlessly sh*tting my pants in record time as he whipped out that Lvl 88 Pikachu lmao.
     
    The first time I ever fought Red in Crystal as kid was before I really used Google to search things about video games so I was really going in blind. I had no idea he even existed in the game and just found him, which made it even cooler, I can't remember much but I eventually beat him after a few tries. As for HGSS, I always enjoyed the challenge of climbing Mt Silver and taking him on, it's just sooo much grinding cause of the Johto/Kanto level curves😡
