SIGN-UP SHEET
Interests and goals: His goal is to do something legendary.
Unfortunately, none of these SUs are up to par. Firstly, the opening post says that your second pokemon has to have been caught in Kanto. Secondly, your character should take on the gym challange as the first post states that that is the premise of this RP. However, I could make an exception for a secondary character :) so alright. But there are more things to point out. You don't explain anything about why their family is gone. Your strengths and weaknesses need fleshing out. And why have they been going on so many other pokemon journeys and been so successful? It is possible, I'm not saying that they can't have every other badge. But have they participated in the League battles of those regions after that, or just gone over to the next region? In general, you just leave too many questions hanging and I feel you haven't thought your character through. Please have a closer look at SUs such as the ones written by Monster Guy or Strikit or GoldenHouou to see what a properly fleshed out SU should look like! I don't require you to write quite as much as they did - I didn't even do that myself. But something more along those lines.SIGN-UP SHEET #2:
Name: Sakura Zakixari
Splendid. Only thing is that Cleffa is a Sinnoh pokemon. But since Clefairy is Kanto, it's totally okay :3 stuff like Elekid and Magby and Munchlax would also be okay, I guess. You are accepted!I'm the other player. I haven't been active here in a while, but I've been wanting a Pokemon trainer RP for some time...

Name: Maxwell "Max" Hudson
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Hometown: Blackthorn City, Johto
Appearance:![]()
Max is a tall and lean young man standing 6'1". He lives an active lifestyle, and has a toned, physically fit body to show for it. He has a fair complexion, and his face is free of blemishes and facial hair. His sandy blonde hair appears to be longer on the top than it is on the sides. His hair seems to go in many different directions. It looks messy, but he likes it that way, claiming that it adds character to his look. He has a round, boyish face with wide eyes that are a deep shade of blue. He often has a smile on his face.
Max is physically fit, and has an athletic toned, physique. His taste in clothes is pretty simple. You would never know he comes from a rich family if you looked at his clothing choices. His favorite outfit consists of a blue form fitting tank top, and a purple cotton hoodie over it if it's cold enough. On the bottom, he wears a pair of blue jeans held up by a black belt with a metal buckle, and simple grey sneakers on his feet. He carries around a purple messenger bag to carry his things in.
Interests and goals: His goal is to be a Fairy type master. He hails from Blackthorn City, which is known for Dragon type Pokemon, and he comes from a long line of Dragon type Trainers. Max was never interested in Dragon type Pokemon aside from the cute ones. He always preferred cute Pokemon, and he always got flack for this fron other boys. After Fairy types and their advantage to Dragon types were discovered, he started specializing in them specifically to spite the other kids in his hometown, and his father, whom he doesn't get along with due to him trying to force his ideals on Max, and him not agreeing with them. Max also likes drawing and painting, and hopes to be an artist, although he knows that's easier said than done.
Family: Deceased mother, and he doesn't have a good relationship with his father
Cool SU! My character is from Cinnabar too :) but about a decade younger so they might not know each other very well. You are accepted!Name: Keia MacBeth
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Hometown: Cinnabar, Kanto
Appearance:
![]()
Interests and goals:
-Interests: Pokemon nutrition and health sciences with a focus on anatomy of mammalian Pokemon; music; swimming; outdoors activities
-Goals: To further her knowledge of Pokemon anatomy, particularly in less researched species; to form a strong bond with as many Pokemon as possible and learn as much about them as she can; to make her father proud.
Taking after her father, Keia took an interest in health sciences early on. Though nutrition isn't her choice of focus she knows more about it than the average person, since her father loved to teach her little things about it here and there. Growing up on a mountainous island means outdoors activities like swimming, fishing, and hiking were a big part of her childhood. She enjoys music as a way to control stress and relax.
Family:
-Father: Kane MacBeth
-Mother: Alana MacBeth (deceased)
-Maternal Aunt: Layla Bradford
-Uncle: Scott Bradford
-Cousin: Hannah Bradford
-Cousin: Albert Bradford
-Cousin: Cameron Bradford
-Maternal Grandparents: Frank & Ivy Cavanaugh
-Paternal Grandparents: Troy & Vanessa MacBeth
Keia grew up with her father in Cinnabar. Kane MacBeth raised her alone, as her mother died of cervical cancer when Keia was quite young. Though the tragedy wounded them both deeply, it also meant that they grew close. He at least had a decent job as a Pokemon nutritionist for Blaine's gym, so that meant he was paid well and got to spend a decent amount of time at home. He never was able to date again, so it was just him and Keia until she was 16, when she moved to Saffron to attend the Academy of Pokemon Health Sciences.
Kane was the most important influence in Keia's life, though she did have other family. Living on an island meant they were fairly well secluded and it was difficult to visit. When they did, however, it was always at least a week-long affair that Keia enjoyed greatly. Most often they went to see Keia's maternal aunt Layla and her three children in Vermillion, all close to Keia's age. Kane has no siblings and therefore no aunts or uncles on his side for Keia.
Keia isn't close with her grandparents. She sees them occasionally in Fuschia.
Strengths:
-Formal education in health sciences
-Better than average understanding of Pokemon nutrition
-Excellent swimmer
-Good stamina
-Good sketcher
-Good fisher
-Superb understanding of the ocean and its dangers
Growing up on an island means Keia has a strong understanding of water's properties and how to deal with it. She learned how to swim at a young age and is now unafraid of crossing large bodies of water on her own. She was taught to fish recreationally and she could use this skill to feed herself in a pinch. She hiked the volcano a few times and has a decent understanding of how to circumvent mountainous obstacles. She had to sketch her notes a lot in the Academy, so she learned to draw decently well. The Academy also improved her knowledge of Pokemon health sciences. She's well versed in anatomy and understands nutrition reasonably well.
Weaknesses:
-Addictive personality
-Inexplicable phobia of Rock Pokemon
-Inexperienced and weak battler
-Pushover to pretty women
Menthols will be the death of Keia. She started smoking shortly after enrolling in the Academy as a stress reliever and she's now well addicted. She knows if she keeps it up she'll end up with useless lungs but it's particularly hard for her to give things up. In addition to cigarettes she loves sodas and the frequent alcoholic beverage. It's probably a good thing that she's never had the opportunity to gamble before, because she'd probably lose a good chunk of money.
The reason isn't clear, but Keia is terrified of Rock Pokemon. It's something about their way of moving and soulless eyes. It's not bad enough that she can't even be around them, but she absolutely will not touch them, train them, or interact with them.
Keia's experience lies mainly in the sciences. She hasn't had much practice battling and therefore isn't sure how battle mechanics work. Sometimes she forgets or mismanages the rules.
Perhaps her biggest weakness is attractive women. She's unable to say no to them and will do pretty much whatever they ask. Infatuations and crushes grow quickly with her. She's definitely a romantic but she never saw a healthy romantic relationship growing up and isn't quite sure how to get one to function.

"Harley"
-Ponyta
-Female
-Flash Fire Ability
-Low Kick, Flame Wheel, Tail Whip, Stomp
-Harley was given to Keia by her dad as a gift for completing her degree. She was only a weanling then, barely old enough to be separated from her mother. Now three years later she's bonded heavily to Keia and wants to do good for her. She's got a good work ethic and a strong desire to please. She was sired by Blaine's own Rapidash and therefore has potential for greatness. But Keia's lack of experience is unlikely to help Harley reach her full potential. Ponyta are too small to ride, standing at less than ten hands tall. But an adult Rapidash can grow to be as much as sixteen hands and are more than strong enough to ride. With this knowledge Keia has begun training Harley for it. She's currently working on touching her all over her body, playing with her ears, opening her mouth, and picking up her feet. Next up: getting Harley to accept the weight of a saddle blanket on her back.
i really like Sigur :) you are accepted!Alright, here we go!
Spoiler:
Name: Sigurður "Sigur" Gunnarsson
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hometown: Celadon City. Born as a city boy, he doesn't feel too comfortable in forests or rural areas - but at the same time, he absolute abhors high-class parties and things that require you to dress according to a dress code of any kind. His parents were middle-class and his childhood rather normal, if you don't count the fact that unlike most kids, he wasn't really interested in Pokémon and didn't really care about becoming a trainer.
Appearance: I drew him quite a while ago, just with a toned down amount of jewelry because GH be lazy.
Sigur's definitely not the biggest guy in his age group, standing only at 5'8" with a slender build to match. He has a pretty pale complexion as his skin never tans, just burns when exposed to too much sunlight. He also has sort of long, pretty slender fingers people have called "girly" before, but he doesn't really feel embarrassment over them; he has good dexterity, what's there to be ashamed of? He'd like any of those stubby-fings to try and play piano like he does.
The guy's hair is strawberry blond and, put in a single word, messy - always; name any direction and you can find at least a handful of strands sticking out there. His hair is spiky from the top and his bangs long enough to cover one of his eyes from time to time, which he surprisingly enough doesn't mind. He hates tying (or doing anything else, for that matter) his hair, so you'll more often than not find it the way it was when he woke up. His eyes are grey and due to their light tone, they're often very striking... or at least, they would be if he didn't perpetually have a somewhat bored expression on his face.
He has earrings on both of his ears and a piercing above his left eye. The piercing is simple, and the earrings are diamond shaped, hanging a bit under his earflaps. He's been told those're feminine too. He's told said people they're more expensive than anything fuckers like them own. His usual choice of clothing often consists of something comfortable and "normal" - unless he's looking to start something, in which case he can dress up pretty flashy. Usually though, he just has on a pair of black, mildly torn jeans, a loose t-shirt with something witty printed on it and, in case it's cold enough for him to need them, an open jacket and fingerless gloves. Sometimes he has on some heavy necklaces and other jewelry as decoration as well. He rarely wears anything on his head, because he doesn't want to flatten his hair.
Interests and goals: Like said, Sigur isn't really interested in defeating gyms, becoming the champion or getting fame as a skilled Pokémon trainer. He doesn't much care for travel itself either, and has little interest in discovering new Pokémon or places or whatever. The only reason he's on the journey is because he was pretty much forced to by his parents. If he could choose? His goal would just be to have a fun and easy life, preferably by winning at the Celadon Casino or something. He hasn't really thought about what he wants to do as a career, but oh well. Maybe this journey can help him figure that out. Would be cool if he could get at least some use out of having to crawl murky caves and roam stinking swamps in order to force sentient beings into tiny spheres to cockfight in his stead. When it comes to interests, he likes puzzles and other things that require some mental work to figure out, and he's big on people-watching and getting reactions out of his peers through snark or crazy antics. He hates boring things and has a secret love for competitions - he's a sore loser, after all.
Family: Mother, father, the family's Growlithe and Skitty, and later on his own Gabite, which his parents gave to him as a Gible to try and get him interested in Pokémon training. It... didn't really work, but as is probably clear by now, he was pushed to go on a journey regardless (partly because the young Gabite really liked fighting and made a mess of the house.) And, well, because his parents thought training was cool. Sure, might be cool to them; they don't have to fear a wild Pidgey taking a dump on their neck every other step.
Weaknesses: Sigur isn't all that talkative, as you'll probably realize pretty fast. Pleasantries aren't really his thing, and he'd much rather keep to himself than engage in idle gossip, especially with people he doesn't know. That is, unless he has something snarky to say, in which case he rarely stays his tongue just for the sake of being polite. Not that he'd ever do anything just to be polite. That's because if there's something he hates, it's fake smiles and pretense. If you're an asshole, just come out and say you are; that's what he's doing and it's worked for him so far. Much less confusion and time wasted from all parties involved.
He's blunt and decidedly not the most pleasant person out there, with an attitude that needs some serious fixing. He's not really that interested in most things going around, yet at the same time boredom makes him grumpy - as does having to follow someone else's lead. Usually, it's his way or the highway, unless there's something fun to be had in tagging along with someone. See, he doesn't hate people; quite on the contrary, really. People are interesting (far more so than Pokémon, anyway, although he doesn't have anything against those critters either), and he likes to watch them and mess with them for reactions.
He's a bit hot-headed as well, in that it doesn't take much to spark an argument with him, but at the same time he never really gets angry or starts shouting. He feels that if one part of the argument does, it's an immediate loss. Yeah, he's annoyed 99% per cent of the time, but not mad. Regardless, due to his crappy attitude, Sigur often gets into fights. Which, y'know, would be all fine and dandy, except he can't fight for crap - not physically, anyway. He isn't really built for melees. He says he hates violence because there's no point in it, and while there is some truth to that, part of it is just because he's just so damn bad at it. He can avoid having his skull cracked in half most of the time, but anything more than that is beyond him. He doesn't fare much better in Pokémon battles, not really having any experience or interest towards it.
Strengths: Even with a plethora of negative traits however, Sigur isn't exactly a bad person. At his worst he's annoying and difficult, but he never means to cause any actual harm to someone, and doesn't take kindly to those who do. He would probably bail you out of serious trouble, provided it doesn't prove any threat to his own well-being, and his intention isn't to be a bully even if he insults or snarks at you. Really, he's just doing that for the reactions and to teach you a lesson, see - according to him, every shy, reserved chap out there just needs to get boiling mad once in a while. He's just trying to make you less of a wuss (according to him, anyway).
Sigur is also stubborn, which you can take either as a positive or a negative trait, really. What's certain though, is that if he actually gets interested enough in something or someone and sets his mind to do something, he's not going to give up before he's there. Oh, and for all his bluntness, at least he's always honest; if he says a good thing about you (and it's not laced with sarcasm) he actually means it.
While he doesn't have much prowess in fights, he is pretty smart when he gets motivated enough to put his brain to use. He's also fast from his feet and able to think when on the go. He's innovative as well, the "out of the box" way of thinking coming pretty naturally to him.

Name: Bál
Gender: ♀
Ability: Sand Veil
Bio: A needlessly proud little thing, Bál is one to never back down from a fight. She aims to be the best, and is ready to work hard to reach that goal. She does very bold things without a second thought, and has a general "in your face" attitude, which often leaves people mistaking her for a male. She doesn't handle lost battles well, and has the tendency to throw tantrums when things aren't going her way. Although strong as heck, she and Sigur don't exactly get along, and she often gives herself orders in battles. As mentioned, Sigur got her when he was around ten from his parents to try and encourage him to become a trainer. She was bought from a professional Pokémon breeder.
Moveset:
- Dragon Claw
- Body Slam (egg move)
- Dig
- Sandstorm
- Hone Claws (TM)
Also, please don't double post on purpose unless the GM or moderator or rules have said that it is okay. They had not, in this case. :)Any suggestions on 2 pokemon for my SU?
I just finished my 1st (boy) and 2nd (girl) SU for the roleplay
