[PKMN FULL] Begin Again (OOC)

Adventure Real life problems suck, been having them since the 3rd of last month... But hopefully everything will get better and we can all RP together well into the new year. (And I'm all for a sequel, but I expect it'll be awhile yet.)

EverybodyI feel that team Rocket should be significantly more evil and powerful in this RP than the games, I don't know why but just being Pokémon gangsters isn't enough for me... what are your guy's ideas for them? From what's gone up so far there are several executives who have been sent to mount moon to extract fossils and stones and things, but perhaps they are trying to make an army of genetically modified Fossil Pokémon (Mewtwo was a fossilized Mew eyebrow.) to take over the world with?

Perhaps you could make the grunts think they're digging them up for money, but in reality the admins and Giovanni (if he's the head in this RP) are planning to create that prehistoric Pokémon army. Also I think it would be a good idea when we get to Cerulean City, to make a referece to the cave north of town, where there's something strange going on...

I also like that thing from the manga where some Gym Leaders are affiliated with Team Rocket, but I don't know if that's gonna be a thing here.
 
Personally I'm against taking the gym-leader affiliation route. This isn't really an RP about Team Rocket and I, and assume most of the others, weren't really interested in the RP because of rocket-related plot lines.

Of course if Adventure goes with more concrete story or makes any decisions about Team Rocket I'd happily go along with them, but I don't think we should go changing the experiences of other players to suit the plots developed by ourselves.It's Adventure's decision though and I'll keep my mouth shut if she's for that.
 
I'd definitely be interested in doing something TR related as a subplot and will most likely have Sigur bump into them on multiple occasions, but I agree that we shouldn't force the whole thing on players who might just want to enjoy going through the gyms.

I think it's best if we don't make gym leaders affiliated with TR, just to keep things simple for those players (or groups of players) who want to do their own thing.

Also TR don't want to take over the world, do they? They just want to be the richest people in the world, preferably with no morals 8) So it's more likely they'd want to breed fossil pokémon to earn money from selling them (and possibly steal them back later even!)

Feel free to throw ideas up here in the OOC! Like I said earlier, I'm a bit distant atm, but I'll join in the idea spread later maybe. I have the plot in my other RP, Crossroads, focusing on TR so I didn't want to make this revolve around the evil gang, no. But individual plots, or plot suggestions are more than welcome!

If you want to do something major though, like raze Rock Tunnel or blow up a city, you should go through me first :p

Also, Adventure, quick question; is it okay to give the Pikachu Sigur caught egg moves? It kind of already used Volt Tackle in my earlier post, and I was thinking Reversal'd kind of fit its personality. Would that be cool with you?

You can give it any moves you think make sense. And for every route you move through, you can teach it more.

Posted! Sorry it took so long :/ Anyways, I set up possible interaction with Jordan, so if we wants, he can initiate something :)
 
Began my JP with Gelius, time to kick some team Rocket ass! (Imagine the song that goes "I need a hero..." plays during the battle.)
Also, I guess you could say Giovanni is "All about the money?"

Very musical today...
 
To make Team Rocket interested in making truckloads of money would be more similar to their original goal in the first games (running a casino, stealing Fossils to sell them, taking over Silph Co.).

On another note, Team Rocket could play a big role in Danica's development, given that they use many Poison-type Pokémon, which Danica hates and fears horribly.

One quick question, though. Would it be okay to release/give away Pokémon in the future?

Adventure said no Mewtwo in Cerulean, or perhaps he just meant this early... However we COULD use the abandoned mansion as a TR headquarters, perhaps it hasn't burned yet, it's a parallel reality after all.

I didn't say to make Mewtwo appear, but make a reference to it. Like the guy who says only the Champion can enter because horribly strong Pokémon live there.
 
Finally got around to posting after so long. It was getting really long so I just cut the actual gym battle out for another post. It'll probably be a while before Anselme makes it to Mt. Moon though.

Of course you can release pokemon, and give them away to npcs. You can't give pokemon away to other players though! Likewise (but opposite), you can't trade pokemon with npcs but you can trade with other players.

That would be awesome xD If you do that and have him go on TR missions, please post your plans in this thread so that players can join in and maybe fight TR and Jordan?


Even meeting Mewtwo would be okay as long as nobody captures it, I suppose. And, like always, post your ideas here, so that those who want can join in or suggest their own plans. You hear that, everybody? We'll say it's okay to meet Mewtwo in the route after Cerulean if you want :) but you'll need the Cerulean badge first. And nobody captures it.
- Perhaps that could be a TR mission for Jordan, since this should be after Mewtwo escaped TR and is hiding out in the caves near Nugget Bridge. Needs to be recaptured for TR! They're gonna fail, of course.

Or, we can go with the idea that Mewtwo is still in the care of TR, or maybe even that the mansion on Cinnabar has not burned down yet, yeah. Thoughts?
