Beijing Olympics

I'm rooting for my country, although I doubt we'll get a lot of medals. x3 Belgium does have a few great sporters, but doesn't do it that fantastic. xD
The opening scene was wonderful though. :3

And oh! I vote for different mascots; Suzaku, Byakko, Seiryuu, Genbu and Huang Long are waaay better then the current ones. >:
 
I've only watched Women's fencing and Men's synchro.

I'm going to go around telling everyone that Michael Phelp's sexy body turned me gay.
 
I watch them when I can, but I'm not a fanatic up to the point of staying up nights to see something. Can't wait for track&field to kick up, plus gymnastics! Though I have to mention that Finland is the no.1 country of the Scandinavian now with one gold and one bronze. Both are from shooting. I have to ask though, who believes China will win USA in the total of gold medals?

Some of the fireworks was done with PC's. But the impact was great no matter what!!!
Oh and did you know that a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occurred during the Torch Lighting ceremonies...(ROTFL!!! Microsoft strikes again!!!)
 
For some reason blood and guts and tumors don't bother me, but I get totally squeamish when something goes wrong with bones. D:

About the opening ceremonies. I for one was pissed. Not about the fireworks which were pre-recorded, not computer generated. But about the little girl. Changed girls because the one girls teeth weren't perfect. They showed a picture of that little girl and she was adorable. All to have the perfect voice with the perfect face. total BS.

U.S. is doing great. No real surprise. Phelps will go 8 for 8 and be THE best Olympian ever. U.S. Wins metal count but will have an up hill battle for over all gold. But it sure is possible.
 
They say the girl was to fat for them to put on T.V... :(

Most of the Fire works were to keep the rain away they shot rockets in the clouds.

According to the news, he'll make history if he can win three more races...and Team Australia has indeed taken the third place spot in the medal counts.
 
I am too proud to be an American these days. I feel for the people there who have to listen to our anthem over and over. *.^
 
I'm highly dissapointed to see that Roger Federer has been kicked from Tennis. I was expecting to see another Nadal-Federer D:

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Spain-US in Basketball, as well as the second-to-last Phelps's race, the next two great events.

That's debatable. He may have won the most Golds, but they give them out to any old riff raff in the swimming. If there were anything like that many available for the rowing or cycling, the a British athlete would probably have matched that.

Steve Redgrave won Gold in the rowing at LA, Seoul, Barcelona, Atlanta, and Sydney.

Can Phelps win Gold in 5 consecutive Olympics? I doubt it.
