Ohoho are we talking alcohol here, is that even okay. Of course it's okay.

I love rum <3 Drinks of rum, straight rum, rumrum. And breezers are like a breeze down your throat. Love.

You're 15, dude. No way you should be drinking any time soon.

Yet you don't bat an eye when Dipu says he was drinking at 18 or even younger. That makes sense, right?

I drank some alcohol when it was still legal to drink at your 16th here. Now it's 18, which i don't see the point of tbh, but alas I don't like drinking it too much. It's only for special cases like a party imo.

Now hot chocolate on the other hand... if they make that illegal i will go on a rampage :p

He drank at 18 -- which I believe should be the legal age anyway. Also there's a big difference between 15 (a child) and 18 (an adult).

welp why am i being brought into this I drank at 18. And perhaps I'm not in the position to make a case, but I agree with Mac, there is a difference between 15 and 18.

18 seems like a fair age to be drinking, as (even though i kinda didn't get why they had to up the age limit here, though i'll explain later why) most people at my age (and in my area) are complete idiots when it comes to alcohol. No day passes for them without getting drunk.

I agree with that part. Just curious though - a lot of underage young adults (18-20) have had a drink before they were 21, mainly I think to "defy the system"; do you think if the legal age for drinking was lower, there would be an increase in the percentage of kids who drank in the age range of say 15-17? Would there be a trick-down-effect I suppose is what I'm truly asking here.

There are 2 sides to it. One is that it they indeed drink more as they can get it themselves now. But then again it's not "cool" anymore cause it is legal, so people tend not to drink anymore to impress their friends.

Meh, I started drinking when I was about 14. It was a bit of a remnant of a mis-spent youth (or not!) however. Back then all I drank was cider, since it was easy to consume and got me drunk fast. Now it depends on my mood, since I've been drinking almost ten years now, I kind of have a better tolerance and understanding of what I'll be like after how much of what. So I tend to jump between beer (anything Dutch/Czech), Whiskey (Irish only, Jamison primarily), and strong 6% cider (also usually Irish, Scrumpy Jack, Devil's Bit, Linden Village). When I'm out I tend to do shots from time to time, I have a taste for Tequila, and sometimes get a Jäger & Red Bull.

I drink this. Bournvita. The drink for kids. :p I'm an 18 year old male who doesn't even drink "soft drinks" because they feel weird in the throat. The burning (dunno what else to call it?) in the throat doesn't appeal to me. Neither does the taste. I stick to milk and fruit juices. They're the best.

In fact, I hadn't drunk either tea or coffee until just a few days ago. Drank coffee for the first time in my life this year lol.

Edit; Also, I don't plan on consuming alcohol. ever.

They would drink anyway if they wanted to. Most of the opportunities for me to drink underage came while I was at university anyway when I was 18. :D

I've drank for years but had only one blackout and I tend to hold my liqour well.

I feel like I'm the minority of people from our generation who actually waited until they were 21 to drink alcohol. I still don't drink much. The last bit of alcohol I had was the champagne at my aunt's New Year's party and it was only a glass or two. (And she was really shocked when I asked for some since she forgot I'm 21. XD ) I guess I'm uncool and go against the norm...

Everytime we talk about alcohol here, I feel so awkward and out of place. lol

I have been legally able to drink for 2 years already, but I don't drink for, lack of a better word, fun, but rather only during occasions such as parties and weddings. The strongest I've had was a few cups of sake during my friend's 20th birthday in Japan (20/hatachi is the legal drinking age in Japan, so she decided to celebrate it by drinking her first sake with her family and mine). Other than that, I don't get the compulsion to drink whenever I feel like it...because I rarely feel like it in the first place. It's how I was brought up.

Eh, you'd be surprised. I had the same attitude at one point. Whenever my friends would go drinking or party it up I would always be sober. Eventually, it just got kind of got boring to be the lone one out. Ended up having my first consumption of alcohol when I was 18. There's really nothing bad about alcohol, as long as you're smart about it.

Whiskey and rum are my go to bevs, especially Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Whiskey. That stuff's amazing. Not too much of a fan of vodka anymore after I got completely poop-faced at a party one time. Considering I hadn't been drinking for that long I wanted to test my limit, so I (stupidly) took around 8/9 shots in the course of an hour and a half.....yeah, don't do that...

That's pretty much me too. Since I was brought up with Catholic morals, I've been taught to not drink until I was legally able to and to only drink in moderation. My dad only drinks at certain occasions when it's offered and I feel like I'm following his footsteps. I don't mind not drinking, though. I don't like the taste or smell of beer honestly.

I remember there was a time where I was all "straight edge", and Todd myself I'd never smoke (again), intake weed, it drink alcohol. Overtime, though, those ideals faded. I'm not entirely sure why, to be honest. Guess it was because I didn't really have a reason not to, if that makes any sense. That being said, I've only ever taken a drag once, drank a few times, and still never have and will smoke pot. Point is, things change.

I was the same way. Swore up and down as a kid I'd never drink because it was THE DEVIL, then it changed to I'd never get drunk, and then I got drunk on my 21st. Hahawhoops. Felt that strongly about drugs, too, but I've tried weed once. But that's the only drug I'd ever do.

My limit is cigarettes. It's amazing that I worked around so many smokers for 4 years and never picked it up. But my thing is, I know if I start, I'll never be able to stop. Also, smoking is expensive! At least with drinking, I can go without whenever I want/can't afford to drink.

By the way, my ad right now is for alcohol rehab. I think you're talking about it too much. :p
