Yeah, the way the placement testing goes in my college is that whatever class you failed at for the test, they place you in the class below it. So technically, I've already passed this class, but they want me to pay and go through it anyway. :/

That's stupid. The only thing you had to take at my college was freshman algebra, which I placed out of and into pre-calc...which I only took because it was a prereq for some of the comp sci/math classes in the minor.

Algebra was like my *****. I loved Math, I came top of my grade in it with 96%. Then again came top of my grade in 4 of the 5 subjects in twelfth grade...

Don't be intimidated, I was just an overachiever and I peaked in high school.

I don't wanna go back on Monday.

If someone could find the larger version of this because I can't that'd be great.

I found the larger version as payment you should go and like all of my posts!

Soo...
if I'm understanding this correctly (what I really hope that I do), this is like the place of totally random conversation I've been sort of looking for, right?
And as it appears the current topic of the conversation seems to be about math...
oh hell no

You nailed it. Pretty much every topic that can possibly come up will come up here. :)

That's good (I guess) because I'm rather certain I'll be fine with any of these potential topics that may come up here c:
(Obviously except the ones I might not contribute to for some reasons)

Who the **** just brought up math on a Saturday? >> In all irony though, I have a class on Saturday, but thank gosh it's online and can be done from home, albeit through Blackboard.

And yes, the DCC topic are pretty random. It's just a place to sit back, relax, and talk amongst anyone here. You're always more than welcome to post here :3

I'm pretty decent at math but I really don't like it. It's such a pain in my ass.

How I hated having linear algebra classes. It still is screwing me over - I learned it (or was supposed to) right in the first semester of my first year, then went a year and a half without making any use of it, and now for the Quantum Mechanics subject I'm supposed to know the whole thing. And that stuff is already like Ancient Greek to me.
I'm fine with calculus, though. And with most math subjects - it only gets boring when you almost have to prove that 1+1=2.

Also, second semester schedule:
Spoiler:

Yes, I'm basically screwed. Either I make an excellent use of Mondays or it will be a disaster.

Also, slightly off-topic: We got some huge hailing this night. Huge noise from all the golfballs (they were that big) hitting the windows. I wondered for a minute whether I had been moved overnight to the middle of Syria without anyone noticing.

Please, math is awesome. I'm so looking forward to retaking Calculus next term, took it in high school. Imma get mad if I don't get an A.

Math has always been my downfall. Never loved it, and I always won't. Ironically I love science, just not the who equation bits. Biology and what not has been my forte.

College algebra's not that bad, iirc. Math in general, imo, is extremely straightforward once you know what to do. Probably why I like it so much.

Just wait until you get into a calculus class, though. I got into a calculus class in high school, but I also flunked out of it after the first semester because I couldn't handle the amount of workload from the class as a senior in high school.
Oh, I took it as a senior high school student as well. It helps that I love math I guess, but I did pretty well for someone who slacked off. Got a 92 mid semester first term before a single poorly executed test dropped me to an 88. Second term senior year? Lol #senioritis. Like I said, can't wait to take it next term :D Helps that I'm taking it with my girlfriend, so I can help her out at the same time. Teaching/assisting other people helps me remember stuff even more.

Passed both Calc I in high school and II in university with flying colors. /showoff

Linear Algebra is what troubled me more, though, oddly enough, but I underestimated that course before going in.
