Something about those glasses and that hairstyle right Somniac?

Damn right!

Even though I'm a huge people person, and an even bigger Extrovert, I somehow have trouble with first contact. I can be the best company to have, a fun presence in good company, but I'll be damned if I can ever make a good first impression.

Yeah, I know that feel. I tend to be really shy and quiet when first meeting people, which gives an awful first impression considering i'm a really open person.
Inevitably I'll say something risqué and people will be stunned.

I'm horrible at that. I always let other people speak first when meeting them, was never a guy that said "Hi, I'm Gabriel, nice to meet you. What's your name?" right away. I get more comfortable after a few talks though, but I'm always quiet at the start.

Exactly. Even worse, I sometimes read a person wrongly, and say something I think they might actually like, only for them to get insulted. I've had fist fights over something simple like a joke just cause they took it the wrong way.

Is this your clue to get to know people from a distance before making dead baby jokes, because I can relate to you.

Uh..............no. I've made racial jokes before, but never dead babies.Cause I'd usually correlate an entire race with abortion precentages

I tend not to joke with people at first unless I get to know them well.. sometimes joking with people you don't know well can leave a bad impression.
Nah, humor is usually what warms people up. Its bad humor which can cause things to go bad. And to have bad humor is well....something special. Anyone can be funny in their own way.

Yep, I definitely agree. I think humors are different depending on the people who do it. I think it's better to do it my own uniquely way too.

I thought my boss was calling me, cause the caller Id on the phone kept saying her name so I literally fly out of bed. Turns out it wasn't her, and now I'm awake. :I

Anyway, I tend to be the joker. Being so serious at first might not be grand. First impressions and whatnot.

I guess you can call me a conversation starter.. because my parents are always complaining about me talking too much.. but they really dislike it when I try to be social with them, especially my mother. :/

Speaking of starting conversation, I don't think that I'm doing that much or less. Because I just want to start the convo when I feel like it {XD}

People concerned with offending someone by making a joke should probably realize that someone somewhere will always be offended by something, so catering to the idea that you don't want to offend someone is as unrealistic as catering to the idea of pleasing all the people in your life. You just can't do it.

I don't usually offend people with my jokes, but when I do, it's usually by accident.

Also, everything at the movies has been overpriced for years.

It cost us 80 bucks to go see the 47 Ronin on Christmas. $41 was in tickets, $39 for four drinks and two popcorns. It's beyond insanity.

And that's why I never make jokes unless I know the person, there's always someone who's offended. Even if there was a joke that nobody is offended about, though, I still avoid making jokes because there's no point. Personally I'm not offended by someone making a joke, but there are people who are more sensitive than I am.

Typical theater overcharging people. Explains why I haven't been to a movie theater since 2009.

I used to go to this small theater in the downtown district of a small town called Smithfield back in Carolina. They charged $3 per adult and $1.50 per child under 18.

Another thing that angers me about movie theaters is that 11-year-olds are considered adults at ticketing. Honey, don't you think they'd be able to watch R movies if they were adults? Naw, you guys are just milking us for our cash, and you're full of it.

I avoid going to theaters altogether unless someone really persuades me to go with them, which usually never happens. The price of food and drinks at theaters is just beyond ridiculous if you ask me. And plus, you can wait a few more months to see a movie and pay the same (or lower) price to see the movie on DVD as many times as you want versus paying to see the movie every time in theaters.
