Japanese books and animations are always coooooooool! They produce heart winning stories and characters!

I only watched Bloody Royale last summer .___. I think I was the only one into it amongst my roommates because they were tired of reading the subtitles XD

Oh lawdy, we got a sub/dub convo going here

I honestly prefer the dub when its nice and literate (i.e. well-funded, such as Naruto or Pokémon), but at the same time I prefer subbed for most anime that hasn't made a huge presence in the West. Fruits Basket is a rare exception to that. :P

Me? It doesn't have to do with not being able to hear more than it does me just liking reading and being sure of what's going on. D:

I don't use subs for English shows or movies, I just turn the volume up until I can hear it well enough. If it bothers people, then I'll shut whatever door is in between us and can block the sound. xD;

I really don't see why people are so obsessed with Finnick.
I know the topic's changed... but this^ ^ ^ He is just so fake it's irritating :c

When it comes to japanese anime, I prefer dubbed. Even if the voice acting isn't the greatest...... I just really love to appreciate the art style and watch what's going on, and I don't like having to read the bottom of the screen.

With things that are already in English, subtitles tend to just distract me, like I need to read through them or I'll get paranoid I didn't hear someone right... or something. .__.

So yeah not a huge fan of subtitles. I prefer to watch the characters closely and immerse myself that way.

I can't watch an English movie without subtitles, or I'll lose track of everything. I can watch French ones without them, though.

I always need English subs for anime, but I hope that learning Japanese will remove that need :D

fun fact: I just learned that tumblr isn't pronounced "toombler"

I've always pronounced the name of the MinGW C compiler as "Ming-W". Just sounds cooler IMO.

The SFTP UI called WinSCP has always been pronounced "WinSc'pe" for some reason, possibly because saying Win-S-C-P sounds awkward.
