What is the most epic final battle music you have ever heard? Or any other epic battle music that isn't final boss music, but can be used for one? I'm actually asking this because I can't decide on one to use for my hack, but it's still an interesting topic isn't it? Personally, I like:
Koi no Yokushiryoku - Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
It Can Waver and Fight - Tales of Symphonia
J-E-N-O-V-A - Final Fantasy VII
Primal Dialga's battle theme - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky
Chrono Trigger: Lavos's theme All Parts
Final Fantasy 6: Dancing Mad Part 1 and 4
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy: Alter of Skorne
Megaman 9: Wily Machine
Mother 3: F-f-fire
No More Heros 2: Alice Twlight
Persona 4: The Almighty
Persona 4: A New World Fool
Portal 2: 4 Part Plan
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game: Gideon Wrath 2
Shadow Hearts: Imbroglio
Shadow of the Colossus: Demise of the Ritual
Super Mario 64: Ultimate Koopa/ Bowser in the Sky
Tales of Symphonia: Beat the Angel
Blue Dragon: The Seal is Broken
Why aren't any of ya posting videos!? I hope I'm not crossing the line by doing so myself.
Yeah. Videos will be included for all of my choices. So you don't have to find them yourself.
Final Boss Music
Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra - Promised Pain
Seriously... this is amazing... Yuki Kajiura did an epic job with the music here...
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht - Last Battle
The ONE TIME the battle music in this game changes it becomes THIS bit of epic here.... Good job Yasunori Mitsuda. You did well with this one.
Okami - The Sun Rises
From my favorite game of all time... This music is just like "It all comes down to this!" kind of epic.... (Not to mention It is freaking fun to play on Audiosurf... XD)
Okami - Emperor of Eternal Darkness
From the first round against Yami... Before you get all the epicness with "The Sun Rises" I honestly think the two songs go well together. The three composes that did this game work very well together.
Other awesome battle music
You said that was allowed yes?
Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra - Godsibb
While Promised Pain is my favorite battle music of the game, this takes a close second. It easily could have been the final boss tune and not been wasted on that weasel-y Yuriev and Omega.....
Okami - Twin Devils Moshirechik and Kotanechik's Extermination
Also known as Nechku and Lechku... The Twin Owl Devils got a really awesome battle theme and the first time I paused the game to just sit and listen to the music (Which totally killed my Time bonus XD)
Okami - Demon Lord Ninetails' Extermination
This was another fight where I willingly killed the time bonus by listening to the amazing music the game offered me... The music is a good part of why it is the best game of all time for me.
Star Ocean: Til The End Of Time - The Divine Spirit of Language
This was played in a lot of instances, but I really remember it most from the battle with Crossel, Marquis of the dragons. He was a final boss of sorts. The last boss of the first disc... And his music, quite honestly, outshines Luther's from Disc 2 in both epic and emotion. But since he's not the ACTUAL final boss I am putting the music here instead.
Sooooo yeah. XD Hopefully I am not crossing any lines here...
I'll join in. Had a hard time to trying find at least 4 final battle themes that I enjoyed. None immediately came to mind. ;) It's obvious I prefer the old stuff.
-This is a pretty popular one. Fun game; annoying puzzles.
-Can't get more nostalgic for me than this game. Pretty easy, but the music was great.
-This one doesn't sound much like a battle theme, much less a final battle theme, yet I always found it pretty addicting.
-One of my all-time favorite games. The battle music in this game is easily the best I've heard.
Although it is a neat tune (like many other Mother 3 tunes), it's not even battle music, let along final battle music... nor do I think it'd really fit either with the way it is structured, although that may be just me.
There's many a tune but here's two of them that imo are kinda different to the ones already posted:
It's got a pretty different style to it as far as final battle tunes go imo, but I quite like it. Of course, during said battle there's also shouting of CURSES in an awesome accent but that's another matter. XD
