There was this guy in X and Y named Phil that takes your pictures at iconic Kalos sites and you can send them to the GTS for all the world to see.

Since Hoenn is undoubtfully beautiful and diverse, do you think this feature will be added into ORAS? What sites do you want to be taken a picture of? Do you think there could be other ways to improve the quality of the pictures taken inside the game?

Photography was added in HGSS, so I'd expect it to make a return.
There are a lot of spots in Hoenn which are really nice to have picture takings.

Since we had Cameron in HGSS, I'd assume this feature will be returning since there are plenty of iconic landmarks in Hoenn. Perhaps Ty could take a picture of you after battling with them.

Meteor Falls is one place I wouldn't mind this, as well as Mt. Chimney. Those are two places I think would make cool picture spots.

However, will they make pictures so you're with your Pokémon like they did in HGSS? That's something i'm curious of...

I'm torn between whether the X/Y makeover will bring back this feature, or if Game Freak will stay true to the original and keep the game as vanilla as possible. If it was to be added into the games, I'm sure a picture of Pacifidlog Town would keep me smiling for days. It was always a beautiful place, so I'd be happy to see a picture of it kept with me and my friends for a really long time. d:

If they do this I will love Game Freak forever. I mean, what's better than showing off with a picture after you've beaten up a Trainer duo? Especially since they're probably going to show up in more places, and the places where they showed up were nice spots anyway.

Although it would be nice if we could carry a portable camera stand or something that would let us take a photo anywhere outdoors. It could be some sort of key item and we can't use it indoors or in cramped places. It would be a cool thing to see imo.

If PokéNav makes return--which it most likely will--there would be no need for outside photographers take pictures of you; if it winds up having camera installed, you could do it yourself. Selfies. :] Would be very unique, too, as I could imagine ourselves to be able to control what direction we'd want to take our picture, what location we wish to take it in, and what effects we'd like to be placed on it. Personally, I think it'd be awesome if all these shots were saved onto our memory card directly, so that we would be able to plug it into our computer any time we choose and have them uploaded online.

Having a PokéNav take selfies sounds so much fun! It would be really nice to get more uses out of it, and it could also perhaps take scenery shots as well! I can just totally imagine taking a selfie right outside the Devon Corp. building and regularly taking photos to form a sort of a 'diary in pictures'.

If they do include Photo Spots or the ability to take pictures with the PokeNav, I hope they allow you to include Pokemon in the picture. The thing I loved about the photo guy in HGSS was that you could take pictures with your team. It made me feel really close together with my team and I was slightly disappointed that you couldn't take pictures with Pokemon in X and Y. I'd like to be able choose how many Pokemon you can take a picture with as well.

Some places I wouldn't mind being able to take a picture at would be Lilycove (particularly in front of the Department Store) , Pacifidlog Town. Fortree, Lavaridge in front of the hot spring, Sotopolis, Mt. Pyre, Meteor Falls, Evergrande City, Route 113, Route 110 near the bicycle road, Mossdeep, and Mauville.

Such a rad idea. And an extremely marketable one, too. Being able to take selfies with your pokemon in breathtakingly new 3D remodeled Hoenn? If that doesn't get people excited for the game, I'm not sure what will. n__n; Especially if they could code it so that pictures could be taken anywhere in the region, and possibly add on to the feature with a scrapbook option!

Hopefully ORAS will allow you to take photos, even if the method is similar to photography in HGSS/XY (i.e. you can only take pics in designated locations). I can just imagine having a pic underwater or in Fortree, hnnnngh <3

Taking photos in Kalos was really cute and fun. Having it back in the new Hoenn would be even better, but I definitely would rather selfies than some random guy teleporting to your location at the ring of a bell. That was just semi-creepy. Like, was he following you or something?? Plus Brendan and May seem more like the selfie types of people.

Isn't a selfie a picture you take of yourself? If someone else takes it like in the XY and HGSS case it's not selfie. So the title is mislead xD jk...though it's still not a selfie.

@ Yato: Now that would be a real selfie. I think they'll restrict it to some areas if they did that, but it'll be fun if they had it. I would take one of myself underwater...since the Pokénav appears to be waterproof...seriously calls I had calls underwater.

No matter where you are: about to catch a Feebas, running towards the Pokémon Centre or training for a Gym Battle, the annoying trainers in the PokéNav seem to find you, huh? They already restrict the use of Key Items inside buildings, and you can't seem to call anyone with the PokéNav from in there, so I doubt whether you'd take a selfie inside a building, though.

Wow. Selfies would be pretty cool. I'm not really sure how they would look, but I'm sure that if they were included at all it would be pretty cool. Right now I'm thinking about all the funny pictures that people took in Wind Waker - although it was mostly due to Link's face, it was still great to be able to take them at all. :3

I like the PokéNav camera idea! But also I'd like to just be able to hold L+R and snap a screenshot like in ACNL haha. The things I'd want in my photo album are the things more unique to my own journey- the battles, specific areas I want to comment on, setting up shots how I want them... yeah, I'd want to be able to take my own pics somehow. Photo spots were nice, but there weren't a lot of them and the only thing interesting was the player's customization choices.

LOL; love the thread title! As others have said, Pokemon selfies would be great, especially with Hoenn's astounding visuals and locales! Coincidentally, there's a Pokemon Art Academy game coming out soon that encourages users to make (and print) their own pictures, so Hoenn selfies would work nicely in tandem. :P You have to "hold up" the PokeNav (at least in the Pokemon anime) to look at the map anyway, so it would be great as a screenshot taker (rather than having to have someone else do it for you)! The "L-R" button combination, if enabled, would be great for taking pictures with, considering that you don't use them for much.
