I'm hoping that spots are still open?
If so, I'd love to get a reservation.
I'm actually done, with the exception of my roleplay sample.
Name and rank in the military: Kaleric (Kale-Rick) Vehemis, Sergeant in King Arthur's army
"My name is Kaleric, but you can call me Sergeant or sir."
Gender and Age: A twenty-one year old male
"Yes, the perfect age, I know. Alcohol is quite the creation."
Character's appearance:
"Don't tell me...I'm scrawnier than the mechanic you ordered."
Kaleric is tall and thin, standing at around 6'2 and weighing in around 145 pounds. He is well-muscled, as one should hope to be after working in a smith's forge for nigh on fourteen years, but it's a wiry sort of strength. His skin is surprisingly pale for one who works in a forge. He often keeps his long, light brown hair out of his eyes using his goggles or a white, sweat and grease stained bandanna. He can't have hair getting in his golden eyes.
Kale often dresses on the nicer side, differing from the majority of mechanics. He has no fear of dirtying his clothes, however. He is VERY neat, and he likes his workshop tidy. His typical apparel consists of dark pants, capable of passing as dress pants, a white dress shirt, with the sleeves typically rolled up, and whatever finery he decides is fit that day.
Home planet (this will decide which army you are in): Mars
"The best pile of dirt in the galaxy."
Mech name, a description of it and its abilities:
"Are we speaking of Doc Shock? Would you care to hear all of the glorious design plans I have?"
The Mobile Mechanic, or as many of Arthur's knights have come to know it, Doc Shock
The Mobile Mechanic is of Kaleric's own design, with some assistance from his father, of course. It has no base build, in all reality. All of it was scavenged from parts in the arena's junkyard. The mech isn't exactly tiny, but it's definitely not the size of most combat mech's. Considering most mechs are about 10 meters, Doc Shock is relatively small at 6 meters. It's very humanoid, with the exception of the giant buzz saw on its back. Doc's body shape is rounded, making it very aerodynamic and hard to grasp. It's not meant for prolonged combat. Its very light, which is necessary, seeing as Kaleric is essentially a combat medic. He flies in, fixes his buddies up, and flies out, although he can put of a fairly good fight if he needs to. When it comes to close ranged combat, he's considered a master. He can be called upon to blast rubble away, fix up mechs, and all the basic engineer work that he can't do outside of his mech. Kaleric has an eye for being flashy, so the arms of the mech are painted electricity-yellow, the legs are painted a bright crimson, the head cobalt blue, and the torso a bright, plasma-shaded blue.
Kale's style of combat can be described as, "cautiously reckless." He is very conscientious of his fellow squad mates, often going out of his way to make dire repairs, even when surrounded by dozens of enemies. When he's focused on the offensive he flies in to deal all sorts of weak blows with his Delvers. His rocket boots and light mech make him hard to hit, so he can focus on finding a weak point in his opponent's armor. When Kale's opponent is distracted he'll charge his Delver's to full blast and release a double-dose of massive power. Should this fail to topple his enemy, his switched to his handy dandy Bang Bang knuckles. He takes a boxing stance and delivers lots of quick jabs and occasional hooks or uppercuts. When the enemy is finally stunned, he goes in for the kill with the Hornet. A superheated buzz saw can short work of all but the best armor.
Head: "Cyclops" Laser Visor:
A standard battle helmet with a red visor over the eyes. The visor releases a short range continuous laser beam capable of welding pieces of metal, functioning as a mining tool, and giving your opponent a nasty surprise. More of a maintenance tool, however. Seeing as it is a welding tool, it contains a sensor system that can pinpoint chinks in armor to avoid in repairs, and "avoid" in combat. The accuracy and detail the sensors receive are quite excellent.
Front: "Swiss Army" Tool Box
A peculiar piece of equipment designed by Kaleric's father. Imagine your average breastplate, but with hundreds of plasma and laser tools stored within it. There's plasma hammers, galva-wrenches, vibro-saws, and everything that can be found in a mech repair shop. Some are human-sized, and others are mech sized. Many of these tools can double as makeshift weapons.
Back: "Hornet" Buzz Saw
On the back of Kalerick's mech is a steel, plasma lined buzz saw placed on a flexible mechanical, controllable arm. It's your typical buzz saw shape, round with several cutting edges, but a battery in the back provides a super-heated plasma coated edge. It's very handy for cutting off unnecessary pieces of metal, and if used very gently, can be used to weld. It can slice through the hardest metals if extra power is sent to the battery. On a side note, it makes for a nasty weapon. Nobody wants a super-heated buzz saw cutting their mech in half.
Both Arms: "Delver" Laser Multi-Tool
The Delver is shaped exactly like your typical laser pistol, but it's actually a mining implement. It's capable of firing extremely powerful short ranged laser blasts, capable of blasting through a foot of rock (or an unfortunate mech's head,) . The blast, however, takes a moment to charge, and using it overheats the Delver for several moments. It also provides a gentle, continuous beam of energy for working around sensitive materials, and emitting a thin laser blade for precise carving and cutting. Both are also capable of firing mid-range weak laser beams.
Both Arms: "Bang-Bang" Galvanized Knuckles
An invention of Kaleric's design, the "Bang-Bang" Galvanized Knuckles are exactly what they sound like: Knuckles that have been redesigned to emit a varying range of electricity. By controlling the amount of voltage they release from his cockpit, Kaleric can release just enough to bring a mech's system back online, or unleash an ungodly amount of energy, capable of stunning the largest of mechs. Can only be used when a Delver has been holstered. Kale can increase the strength and speed of his arms by redirecting energy throughout them.
Legs: Suped-up Rocket Boots
These are your typical rocket boots on steroids. Kalerick tweaked and modded these boots so they could be more maneuverable, have longer flight time, fly at extraordinary speeds, and even be used as extremely short ranged flamethrowers. If removed from Doc Shock, Kale can remotely control them to do some mad kicks and stuff.
The C3N7AUR
The Centaur is the most ridiculous piece of machinery that Kale could possibly imagine: The body and legs of a horse, the torso, arms, and head of a human, the torso is several hundred meters tall, about 500 or 600, and is one of the first mechs of its kind. The Centaur functions as an armed mech carrier, and although it has the firepower to virtually destroy a planet and its mother, it can fit hundreds upon hundreds of mechs within its horse torso. Also, it has a pretty sick stereo system, so that's a plus. The C3N7AUR is Kale's crowning achievement.
Head: The ImperviHelm
The head of the C3N7AUR is also invented by Kale, as one could tell by the name. The helm is the cockpit and control center of the entire mech. Kale values his life more than his comrades', so he's made the helm thirty meters thick. It's almost completely impenetrable. Other than being the state of the art KaleVehe control center, it has no other special properties.
The Vehemis Battlestation: A prototype of Kale's, the Vehemis Battle Station is aptly named. This gorgeous piece of technology is the ultimate offensive machine. Kale has rigged the human torso with dozens upon dozens of laser turrets and missile launchers, as well as automated machinegun turrets capable of firing by themselves. The laser turrets and missile launchers can be fired from the cockpit, but they can be manned by individual knights for far better accuracy. Along with the turrets, Kale has installed massive stereo system encompassing the entire mech. The speakers specializing in blasting techno metal, a mixture between old death metal and hardcore techno. The music holds no use other than inspiring the men.The horse torso, although not covered with turrets, has a massive rocket launcher on its back, about 200 meters tall. The launcher contains hundreds of high explosive missiles. This is the main offensive feature of the C3N7AUR. That's not the main feature, however. The inside of the horse's body is what Kale likes to call the Trojan carrier system. The massive body can house at least seven or eight mechs within it. The bottom of the torso opens up with two bay doors, allowing the mechs to drop instantly. This piece of technology is Kale's crowning achievement. He is very proud of it. The only flaw that he's noticed with his system is the massive amounts of power that it draws from the rest of the mech, but it's the price that one must pay to be capable of demolishing entire moons.
Arms: The Electro Galva Sword
The Electro Galva Sword is a massive, powerful sword. This sword is proportional to Kale's mech, so it's about 200 or 300 meters long, capable of shearing entire structures in half. When it comes to combating mechs, it's actually only extremely efficient with mech's close to C3N7AUR's size. It's sort of like swatting flies with a pen, otherwise. The sword, as the name suggests, is a conduit for thousands upon thousands of kilowatts. The maximum amount of energy released can put thousands of stations out of power at once.
Arms: Grapple-Super Punch Gauntlets
These, invented by Kale, are extremely efficient gauntlets made for Melee combat. Kale has given them the ability to punch with enough force to topple anything up to three hundred meters tall. These gauntlets are extremely strong, capable of lifting entire buildings to be used as clubs.
Legs: Super Bad-Ass Legs
The only thing that keeps the C3N7AUR from toppling. These legs are two hundred meters tall, and made of the sturdiest metals that Kale could swindle. The legs have jet rockets powerful enough to lift the mech several hundreds of feet in the air, but it can only be for short periods of time.
Background and History of you:
"My past? Would you care to know of my glorious promotions or my father's grandiose forge?"
Kale was born on Mars to mechanically-inclined parents. His father was a very successful smith, one of the leaders in the arena repair shop, and his mother was one of the finest electricians on the planet. He took after them from an early age, often spending hours at at time watching them work on a mech that had been damaged in the arena. He began to work with them at age six, handling simple things like screwing in screws, hammering dents out, or using an electric saw to cut pieces of metal. (Yes, that's simple. This is the future.) At the age of ten he was allowed to work with plasma and laser tools, which he showed considerable aptitude with. Soon enough he became a smith in his father's shop.
Over the years, Kale and his father began putting together his own mech. Kale had told his father that he wanted to be a knight, and he wouldn't be let down. As the mech progressed towards finality, it was evident that it would become a support mech. At age eighteen the mech was finished, and Kale took it to the arena. He showed excellent prowess with handling opponents several times larger than him, although he did lose battles to mechs roughly the same size or slightly larger, but he won his seven battles and achieved knighthood in mere months. He was taken to Earth, where he underwent the rigorous training that was required to be a knight. His officers approved of his skill at repairing and stabilizing damaged mechs, but he simply couldn't stand and fight. Whenever thrown in to combat, he would simply dart in and out, delivering light blows with the Delvers until he would find an opening to unleash a dual "Mining blast." Although it worked in single combat, it would never fly in an actual battle. Thus, he was granted the title, "Field Mechanic." He rose to the rank of sergeant after two long years of field repairs, fighting raiders from the Wreck, and fighting in the arena.

On a side note: Kale is shown to be a natural prodigy when it comes to repairing broken mechs. He can also jury rig and throw together random parts to create somewhat useful inventions. Given his years of experience in to field of metallurgy, he considers himself an expert is quite proud of his work, and can be a little arrogant. As neat as he is, however, his shop is littered with random junk. Except his junk pile is organized how he likes it.
