So I decided to go grab Volbeat before heading back to Dewford, headed up toward Mauville and ran into Birch. Got that hottie's phone number too, hell yea. ;) Ran into his kid a ways up the road and kicked his ass for not being as attractive as his father. Picked up a bike, saw Wally and his uncle in front of the Mauville Gym, ignored them, went over to search for bugs on Route 117.
Who else was aware that Volbeat is a Danish Rock band? I wasn't until I tried to go check Volbeat's encounter rate, which is ONE ♥♥♥♥ING PERCENT. God. It took me like four hours to find one. Cabbage evolved during that trial after I taught her Bullet Seed to facilitate taking things out more easily. Also, after I caught Calem, I got finally got annoyed at playing on my DS Lite because of its sticky down arrow and switched for my brother's SP. What a strange-looking and -feeling device.
Guys. Guys. I ♥♥♥♥ing got PokéRus. Holy ♥♥♥♥. I went and caught a few Gulpin- Omia and Eduardo- to keep it but. Wow. I've never had it before. Too bad I don't bother about EV training, but. You know.
So I'm just training right now really but I'll... actually get badges next time. Yay.

1-Started Expert Emerald, didn't realize I had a game started...just no starter picked yet xD
2-So thanks Wildy I got to choose Torchic
3-Did the usual starting stuff for Emerald battled Branden, went and help Wally get his Ralts
4-Added Hoppip named hers Petals, thought why not it's a flower and not used in awhile
5-Then Gnarl returned, he must have followed me from Kalos
6-Made my way to Rustburo City, did a lot of grinding
7-Prod Evolved to Combusken and became fighting and with him and Petals Roxanne was no problem
8-Rescued Peeko! Captured Meowth named him Whiskers :P
9-Went and trained more, defeated Brawely with Prod and Gnarl
10-In Mauville City now, went and looked at the gym and was like uhh no I need to train lots

So I took out Brawly. And then everyone I snuck past earlier, the Winstrates, Wally, Wattson, everyone between Lavaridge and Fallarbor, and Team Magma. Snuck around everyone over by Meteor Falls and down the mountain to Lavaridge because Egg. Obtained and hatched said egg, named it Shaun, and... I guess I'm training it now. Yay.
Now that Calem's got Signal Beam things are going a lot faster. Oh and I picked up another Gulpin named Kellan because Rock Smash.

Milestones

• Did pretty much everything in Goldenrod City and then went to the Gym.

  Faberge vs. Clefairy, battle of the Metronome! Fab eventually got a Nasty Plot and finished off with a powerful Extrasensory. Kept him in the battle to Yawn Miltank to sleep, let it cure with her Lum Berry, and send in Eostre. Got pretty lucky with Miltank using Attract right when I was switching, but that was it. Poison Powder worked only the second time; I was prepared to Protect against Rollout, but it did not use it once. Instead it spammed Stomp, so I had to rely on potions to keep my Pokemon alive while Miltank slowly fell to poison. Man, I hate Miltank.
• The good news is, both Fab and Eostre evolved into Togetic and Gloom right after the Gym battle!
• The bad news is, the Bug catching contest is tough, and I'm gonna have to win it for that Sun Stone to evolve Eostre. I played twice this week, caught a Beedrill - didn't place, and a Caterpie - won third prize.
• Did some detours for some items, and Fab found a Shiny Leaf!
• Reached Ecruteak City and headed to Route 38 first, where we caught Daffodil the Meowth. The daffodil is the birth flower of March. Trained her to lv. 20.

  Daffodil soloed Morty; actually, she soloed Morty's entire Gym. I was prepared to use Fab as well, but there was no need at all, Daffodil was just great with Bite. Screech was very handy as well, to lower Haunter's and Gengar's Defense without triggering Sucker Punch so she could take them down with a single Bite.

Well, here's my first Crystal Update ^^

Spoiler:

Named my trainer Demi and picked Porygon as my starter (used the randomizer to change one of the starters into Porygon and to remove trade evolutions so I can evolve it later)
Did the whole beginning stuff and reached Violet City where I played in the Sprout Tower and in the Gym, winning handily (gotta love Conversion2 <3)
Went towards Azalea, avoiding as many trainers as I could. Since it was night time, I entered the Ilex Forest and caught an Oddish.
Backtracked and leveled Oddish up then took on the Rockets at the Slowpoke well.
Took on the Azalea Gym and won in a few tries.
Beat my Rival, helped the guy in Ilex Forest, got Cut and Headbutt and carried on towards Goldenrod.
Got the Odd Egg and it hatched into an Elekid.
Leveled Elekid up some then I took on Whitney and, for the first time, beating her was a piece of cake.
Carried on and fainted Sudowoodo, because I ran out of Pokéballs and it kept popping back out, despite having 1 HP and being asleep -.-
Reached Ecruteak and made Bill go back home. Followed him and obtained Eevee.
Trained Eevee a bit and used her to battle all the Kimono girls, obtainign Surf.
Went into Mt.Mortar and caught a Marill. Currently looking for a pokemon to use rock smash on so I can play in the burnt tower some xD (might just trade for that Onix back in Violet City c.c)

Third update!

Defeated Team Galactic in Eterna City and got my fourth Pokemon! I also got the bicycle. I made it though the small stretch of Mt. Coronet and into Hearthome City. I defeated Fantina and recieved my third badge! I then defeated my rival and arrived to Solaceon Town safely. After getting the Defog HM I set off for Veilstone City to challenge Maylene for my fourth badge!

Our Journey Begins:

Spoiler:

-Started up the game, and decided to go with the male player, because why the heck not. Named myself Daiya and the rival Shinju.
-At Lake Verity, I choose Piplup and Shinju picks Turtwig.
-On the way to Sandgem Town, I raise Piplup to LV. 7.
-Prof. Rowan allows us to keep our Pokemon, and I name Piplup Pablo. First member, get!
-He gives me five Pokeballs and a Pokedex, and our adventure officially begins!
-I make my way through Route 201 and battle a horde of Trainers. Pablo grows to LV. 10.
-Reach Jubilife City, and make my way towards the Pokemon School after healing.
-Hand over the package to Shinju, who gives us the extra Town Map in return. At least I can quickly figure out where I am now.
-Afterwards, I take on the Poketch Challenge, and answer the trivia questions from the not-so-hidden clowns. Finally, we receive the Poketch!
-I then make my way to Route 204, where I catch the second member of our team, Budew! Name him Jules.
-I catch a Bidoof while I'm at it, to be our HM Slave. Name him Doof.
-I raise Jules up to match Pablo, and fight the Trainers on the Route for extra training.
-I head back to Jubilife, this time heading towards Route 203. I'm met with Shinju, who challenges us to our first Rival fight! Pablo makes quick work of his Starly, and after a few Pounds he manages to takedown Turtwig as well. Overall, not a hard fight.

The First Gym, Roark:

Spoiler:

-We make our way through the route, and I toughen up my team some more.
-We reach Oreburgh City after a quick passage through Ravaged Path. I make my way towards the mines after Shinju tells us the Leader is there.
-Sure enough, I find Roark there, and he gives us a quick demonstration of Rock Smash. Show off, much?
-Finally, we take on the Gym Challenge. The fight was over in a matter of minutes, thanks to my double type advantage with Pablo and Jules. Jules makes quick work of Geodude and Pablo takes care of Craniodos who luckily doesn't manage to get a Headbutt in. First badge, get!
-I teach Rock Smash to Doof, and we backtrack our way to Route 204. On the way, we meet face to face with Team Galactic, who are harassing Prof. Rown. Me and Dawn tag team them, and surprisingly Dawn was pretty helpful in this fight, managing to take out their Zubat.

Galactic Problems/The Road to Eterna:

Spoiler:

-We get through this part of Ravaged Path thanks to Rock Smash, and a Hiker gives us HM06-Flash, which in my opinion, is the most useless HM in the games.
-We reach Floaroma Town, and after a quick heal, head towards Valley Windworks. A distressed girl begs us to save her father, and we decide to investigate.
-On the way there, I catch the third member of our team, a Pachirisu. I name her Chi.
-Surprise, surprise: it's a Galactic Grunt standing outside of the entrance. We beat him easily, but he locks himself inside, the little brat.
-Heading back to Floaroma Town, we go inside the now unblocked meadow.
There are two more Grunts inside, and after beating them we receive a key from the man we saved, as well as some Honey. Yum!
-Now able to go inside the Windworks, we beat some more Grunts, and reach Mars. Her Glameow goes down without too much damage to Jules, but her Skuntank predictably turns out to be a problem. Pablo manages to bring it down to half health before it heals itself with a Sitrus Berry. Pablo gets poisoned, but he manages to hang on to defeat it with a final Bubble. Pablo evolves into a Prinplup afterwards!
-After a heal, I continue on to Route 205, raising up Chi to match the levels, around LV. 15 or so.
-We head inside Eterna Forest, where we meet Cheryl. She asks us to accompany her through the forest, and in return she heals our Pokemon. A nice bargain, if you ask me.
-We tag team through the forest, and on the way I catch the fourth member of our team, Buneary. I name her Mimi. Cheryl turns out to be a pretty useful partner, as her Chansey's Egg Bomb actually dealt pretty decent damage.
-Reaching the end of the forest, we part ways. We finally enter Eterna City.

MVP:
The MVP was probably Desperaux the Plusle. I didn't realize how strong Plusle actually was with Thunderbolt. OHKO'D a lot of Pokemon. Blaziken is a close second as always.
LVP:
DOTS didn't really play a role for a long time, and the only reason he was high leveled was the EXP Boost. However, he did perform well against the Ghost-Type Gym Leader with Faint Attack. The LVP was Definitely Bellossom though. Didn't learn Petal Dance for a very long time and it didn't really help much. Desperaux was a much better option.
