Cloning

In most Pokémon title, there is a method known as "cloning," and their mechanism vary from game to game. By doing so, we could duplicate any Pokémon we choose for nearly any purpose we like.

What are our thoughts on cloning? Have we ever attempted this before, and if so, how did we go about it? What Pokémon did we find ourselves cloning, and what did we wind up doing to them? If we have never tried performing this before, are we planning to do so at some point in future?

As for myself, I have done this only in one game, sadly, which would be Silver version. I didn't know about this for a long time until a friend told me; basically, we had to drop a Pokémon into our PC box and turn off the game when we're at point of saving. Then, when we turn it back on, we would find two of the same Pokémon (whichever we were attempting to duplicate)--one in PC, and another on our party. The process was rather easy, actually; have duplicated plenty of Pokémon thanks to this!

I used to do this many times in GSC, and there was the trick in Emerald but I didn't do that as many times. And my thoughts on cloning are that I don't mind it, at least not for really rare stuff, but I can understand people's displeasure with cloning for distributing shinies and RNG'd Pokémon.

I've never cloned them in my life... and it looks so difficult to do properly. So, I've never bothered to try. I don't have any problem with the way people play their games though either Taken from someone who cheats with the AR on older games lol.

I was about to say that I've never cloned anything in my life, but then I remembered about the G/S PC box cloning thing. I think I had like 7 Meganiums from that. And whatever else I cloned all those years ago.

But I don't have a problem with clones, so long as the Pokemon is legal.

I only managed to clone Pokemon in one game as well, in Emerald. I just wanted to try it out, but never really did anything else with it. I didn't do it to clone legendaries or anything, I just wanted to see if it worked haha.

Cloning is a pretty cool feature though.

I've never cloned a Pokemon before, but I really don't have any problem with cloning as long as it's legal and you're not doing it extensively.

I have never cloned a Pokémon. I didn't actually know it was a thing until I joined the PC Forums about a year back for XY. Its methods are still unknown to me. I don't mind keeping it this way although I'm eager to learn. Whether I'll use the technique or not, I can't say.
I don't mind others doing it though, everyone has to play their own game.

I remember cloning Pokemon in Diamond, It's completely eclipsed me how I did it but I'm pretty sure it was for breeding (not too sure why I did it for breeding) and just because I thought it was pretty interesting. Other than that, I've never done it. There isn't really much of a reason why I'd need or want to.

The only games I ever cloned in was GSC, I never really found the need to do so with the later games. The only reason I'd probably clone now would be to keep a good team on say Platinum and to be able to transfer to something like X or Y.
