I worked at a fast food place before. And it was okay for a while, but then it just got really bad for me. I couldn't keep up with my other job and my sleep patterns were totally messed up. So when I got full-time at my other job, I quit there. I was so happy. =D So working a fast food place, not a great idea. :|
 
I am sore like you have no idea. I work in a warehouse hauling stuff on forklifts that we hand load ourselves (some of our stacks get up to 10 feet high) and we work 11 hour days. Augh.
 
But I bet you get off on the weekends. I work in a grocery store. I am a cashier. I work at least 8 hours a day for five days. So of course the weekends, we need people to work Saturday and Sunday. I wish we were closed on Saturday and Sundays. XD But anyway the pay is very good. Well I been working there for nine years. And I been getting pay raises. So it can be stressful, but it pays pretty well. :D And have great health care and benefits.

Heh nope. I work the weekends. My shift is

Saturday 3:45 am to 2:45PM
Sunday 3:45 am to 2:45PM
Money 3:45 am to 2:45PM

33 hours into one weekend and then I get the week off--which is nice. But it's crazy getting up so early to drive to work. I kind of just want the M-F 9 to 5 job.
 
Wow, well at least you get out early. I would love to get up early, work, and then get hope before 3pm. I would love that. I do get shifts like that. Well I come in at 6am and by then I get out by 2:30pm. It is so nice. But I do wish I get a 9 to 5 M-F job as well. I get different shifts every week. It isn't the same.

It definitely has it's pros and cons (high salary, four days off a week, keeps me trim and in shape) but man I gotta tell you waking up at 2AM and walking out into the freezing cold is probably the most miserable thing that can happen to you without something really happening to you. Every morning for work I go through a five minute crisis where I contemplate quitting but end up going in anyways.

I'm looking to get into an office job as an admin assistant but this is holding me over for now. What are you guys doing for jobs? A career in the immediate future?
 
Well I really don't want to be a cashier forever. I want to be an administrator in a office or an accountant. But first I need to finish college first. XD
 
In the future I want to be a journalist then work my way up to news reader.
 
I worked fast food for a while. The enjoyability of the job depends 100% on the people you're working with.

It was good for a while, but then the manager got replaced with this total battleaxe (thinking of another B-word), and it just became a living hell.

Luckily, I'm back at university in another week. :P
 
I got to school. I want to be an Accountant. :3 Then after awile go back and get a PhD in Astrophysics.
 
pretty well, I just got done celebrating Christmas 2008. I'm feeling great. I have to work tomorrow, but I have 3 days off after that! Plus I'll be getting Vaca time at work this month or next!
 
2009 is two sided.

Life can be oh so perfect...

... or I can return to reality.

Not sure of my complete opinion of 2009 yet.
 
Reality is better because imagination goes nowhere.

2009 hasn't been too bad as of yet, but let's wait until the rest of my academic year resumes.

The past few days haven't been all too exciting though.
