I would have liked Caramelldansen a lot more if it weren't overly popularised, yet it's all I seem to find on YouTube recently. Then again I shouldn't be one to talk, I posted a Caramelldansen video as well at one point. XD; Still, it is a catchy song. Do any of you even try imitating the dance?

Well... It was more like a joke with that same group of friends, but yes; I have done the little dance that goes with Caramelldansen. xD

I'm not a big fan of dancing, but I learned the entire melody and backing chords on my guitar ...

My roommate plays bass, so we figured out how to play along with it. Power Metal CaramellDansen for the definite win XD
 
I did once with one hand though. I did it in front of a baby… so… xD

That must have been one happy baby...XD

The original CaramellDansen isn't nearly as fast or entertaining. The one that's on youtube mostly is the "remix" I guess...
 
It's my most loved Japanese song ever. XD I was introduced to it by Jeremy's Profile Video.
 
Am I the only one who doesn't like it? 8/ The song is catchy, but I find the dance very unimaginative and it's so overused that I just... don't care. D:
 
That song, man. It is everywhere! There isn't a time I see a AMV that has that song. I do like the Caramelldansen. It is a catchy song, but it seems it is overused. But it is funny though to see everyone doing the dance. XD I tried the dance before. It is fun.
 
I just like the song....The dance is pretty unimpressive.

I was so bogged down with homework yesterday...So I put on CaramelDansen and I swear that song has magical powers because I felt so much better after listening to it a couple of times XD.
 
Yeah the dance is pretty easy to do, and it isn't that mind blowing. Hehe, that song does put you in a good mood. Dang, I swear every anime character people used for that song...it is crazy. @_@ But it is cute to see. XD

Speaking of that, Loki was begging me to do that for her while I was on webcam with her. It's a bit embaressing putting your hands like that even when only one person is watching you. But nevertheless, it's still very entertaining and quite funny to see someone do a dance to it. Sometimes I do it at my desk and just randomly put my hands on my head and that weird pose and start shaking. Ahhh, good times. Good times.

But Hare Hare Yukai is my favorite dance of all time. I only know about 10 seconds of that dance and I do intend on learning all of it. Perhaps I'll visit Japan and get someone to teach me. Because, judging from the amount of YouTube videos, little Japanese school girls and most teenagers know that dance. :o

I'm jealous of them...
 
when stage6 was awesome and still up I managed to get a video that teaches you how to do the Hare Hare Yukai, I'll send it to you next time when I get it off the external harddrive

That site was freaking awesome… I mean all the anime I watched was on there even before I got the torrent file for it. xD
The streaming was amazingly quick and high quality too.
I miss it still. xD
 
I know all of the Hare Hare Yukai dance except for the hand motions at the end because they go too fast for me and I'm too lazy to learn them. XD; However, I can't really do it anymore since I'm so out of practise. D:
 
Yeah you shouldn't NEED to know about the Japanese culture if you're not Japanese. Duh...

Also do not ridicule our otaku-ness, it's about wanting to. :<

 
Learning new things takes effort and time. Which sucks.
