I'm going to San Diego next year with friends for Comic-Con.
...just out of interest, how do you know what cow's piss tastes like? :DNor am I. To me, anything with alcohol tastes like cows' piss to me. x3
I would much rather sit down and enjoy Iced Tea/Tea or Coffee. XD
Once I'm allowed to drink alcohol, I won't, which comes as a surprise to some of my friends. XD;
Just too much that can go wrong / makes me sick. <<; I'll stick to ice tea or smoothies for celebration. :D
Very true.[nf]
Good to hear ;)
I've only drank beer and wine, like two-three times (very moderately), and didn't like it. That and I see no point...
Coworkers always come to work boasting about getting drunk and other stuff... I can understand to some extent about social drinking, but I don't see the point of wanting to get drunk (which seems to be a large amount of people). I figure though that some of these people just want to "drink their sorrows away". Reality anotherwords...
While that does sound harsh and accusatory why is it that something with alcoholic content is drunk, instead of water etc? Part of that is also the setting (you don't see bars that serve only water now eh?).
Not to mention some people are addicted to it or waste their money on it.
One can save a lot of money by not drinking and smoking.[/nf]
I'm totally against smoking, that's for sure, but drinking can be done in moderation and not do any harm. I'm not suggesting for a second that some people don't abuse it, but having a little bit to drink can give you a warm fuzzy feeling and make you relax. I've never had more than a glass or two.[nf]Very true.
I'll also never smoke, it took one experience of seeing this ol' fellow's body getting wrecked and shaken scared every time he coughed from a life of smoking. :( Now, I don't blame ol' folks that smoked, they didn't have the warnings we have today, but young people? I kinda just facepalm. (No offense to any of you that smoke, but I find that life decision costly, risky, and definitely not worth it - I'd rather blow bubbles)[/nf]

It's funny how the drinking ages vary between countries. Australia is 18.
Australia is more liberal in it's sociality of drinking though (heck even kids are allowed in the pubs) XD (I've been there). Needless to say, I suppose it depends a bit on the country. In Canada, it varies by province, where I live it is also 18.
I think one of the bigger things is that Australia has had a large drinking culture. Go to sydney and look at the heritage sites, most of them are pubs.
Oh yes, I know of moderation being a good thing. Studies, as I recall, found significant heath benefits of those who "moderately" had red wine. The thing for me is, it's so easy to slip up. Make a mistake and get consumed by alcoholic problems. (which is stronger than many of the banned substances we've got locked up) Next thing you know, they're driving.I'm totally against smoking, that's for sure, but drinking can be done in moderation and not do any harm.
