I won't stand for this discrimination.

I forgot she has school. xD
No wonder she hasn't been in the seeds when I'm awake.

We should find more things to liven up this section.
Yep, that's exactly why.
Yeah, I know. If only I was good at coming up with ideas. XD (That cake thread kinda helped for a bit. Now if only Nica could come up with some more.)
I've had MSN for so long I still actually have the @msn after my name instead of @hotmail or @live.
Oh, really? Wow. I've not seen that many people with it like that. All of mine have either been @hotmail or @live (and then I also used one of my Gmail accounts for a little while).

Edit: What discrimination are you talking about, Gummy?

As usual, Xman, I have absolutely no idea.

Topic change: Anyone here seen The Da Vinci Code? Anyone gonna see Angel and Demons?

I'm trying to finish reading Angels and Demons before the movie is released, but studying for exams is getting in the way.

I've seen The Da Vinci Code, I'll still wait for dvd for A&D though. however if they ever got around to making Digital Fortress into a movie I know I'd be the first in line for that.

hee hee I'm trying out the Windose 7 RC XD

No, Gummy. I haven't seen it. I also don't plan on seeing it, either. (Don't know why, I just don't want to.)

I'm using it right now. I haven't really seen what's improved from the beta yet. It still seems the same to me, with the exception that my Anti-Virus no longer works with Windows Security Center. (Not a big deal, though.) I've tried a few of the ones that works with my my university's network autentication (Clean Access), and none worked. It's a good thing I'm no longer at a dorm, but I'll still need it whenever I go back.

I want to try that out but I have no way to back up my files on my main computer.

I might check out Digital Fortress when I'm done with A&D. Is it any good?

Look into using a virtual machine, Gummy. Microsoft has Virtual PC (don't know if it's any good). There's also VirtualBox. Those will allow you to test it within your current OS. That means you won't have to worry about backing up your files. It's a great way of testing out new OSes.

very good, One of Brown's better books. WHile the main character is a female, I really do have to admit the entanglement between the 3 storylines is geniusly woven for a great finish. It's what have to call a book you cannot put down. (at least I couldn't after the halfway point.)

I'm not a very tech savvy person, so do you think you could post/send me a VM specifying how this VirtualBox thing works? ^.^

Ionly recently discovered, he's continuing Robert Langdon's story with a third book, but I find masonic symbolism to be boring. I like A&D because I'm a sucker for symbolism and physics.

I'm using VMware, though I bought my version. I use it more often than I originally thought, but I've gotten my money's worth out of it. I can't be bothered to actually set up a boot camp partition on my hard drive, so VMware is my best friend when it comes to windows. (as is my 4GB RAM XD)

I actually installed 2 different versions of the RC today. the one I'll now be using for anything that requires windows is in english, but my purely mess around version is in Japanese. I will say this, they really need to incorporate the Kana palate into the task bar some how, it just looks funky with it's Vista look.

I've got mine set up through a partition. It gives me the full experience, I guess. I've used VirtualBox before, and I liked it, which is why I recommended it. I wouldn't want to buy a virtual machine.

Anyway, Gummy, go ahead and get the Release Candidate. You can find it here. It's about 2.36 GB, so it could take a while to download. I'll type up the instructions for you and send you them in a VM.

technically no, however there has been someone who has done a very good job at transforming 7 already. they haven't put out a pack or instructions that I know of though.

*sigh* My computer slows down significantly when I download a 200MB game. I can't wait 'til I get my laptop >_>

Ouch, that really sucks. I'm guessing you aren't gonna download it, then? (You have until sometime in June or July. I forget exactly when.)

Aww man, that's not soon enough. The earliest I can convince my parents to buy my a semi-decent laptop is my birthday in September. Are Acers any good?

depending on the series, yeah I'd say acers are alright. My dad's been using his travelmate for a number of years now and it's still going strong.
I guy I knew a couple years ago has an Aspire series that had the logic board fry twice in a month.
