I'm taking breaks from Portal for PC because Portal always freaks me out so I can't play much at a time, hahaha.

What do you expect when something has Air in it's name...?

It's most certainly way different from all the other laptops that I've ever used. I guess they weren't kidding with the name. Even though it might not hold the record for the lightest these days (I have a 11"), it's still way too light. So light, in fact, that it can be used with just one hand holding it like a tablet.

IDK... I'd like the idea of a lightweight laptop/netbook for ease of carrying, but then I might be concerned about how flimsy/delicate it might be.

Then again it seems ALL laptops are made from cheap plastic, so I don't know if it would make much of a difference :P

Ugh every time I look at this DCC I want to contribute and it's all COMPUTERS COMPUTERS COMPUTERS

Look for Ultrabooks and/or the MacBook Air. They almost always are not flimsy plastic! The MBA I'm holding feels really solid. Just be careful not to shatter it

I got a company laptop yesterday. Specs are not that great but it's strictly for work so they're sufficient enough for that.

It looks pretty sturdy to me but then it weighs a fair amount too.

I probably wont get one of those when I replace my laptop, I want a studier one than a Mac Book Air. I'll probably just get a new Mac Book.

lmao guys. Jellicent isn't an actual supporter so he's not allowed to post here.

...at least he wasn't a supporter when I last checked.

We can see but unless we're supporters we can't post. :(

Apologies for the late reply!

They now only got these new MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros that doesn't have a plastic casing - if you want something sturdy, get a MBP. (You don't have to blow your money on the Retina Display one)

Or you could look at something that's not an ultraportable, too. (In my experience, plastic laptops tend to be the flimsier ones. So do take note of the feel. It's best to actually have the laptop(s) in question to be tried out physically.)

As for supportership, well, I think maybe we should just go out and make the entire forum visible to any and all supporters, not just T3 and above. And staff should be made to be able to post... Permissions issue?

Well it's supposed to be a perk for T3 and above so if it's visible then it's not really a perk :P

Yeah, people are likely to care more if they're Tier 3, but I honestly don't entirely understand why Tier 1 members are blocked.. this area doesn't even get much use. xD;

I assumed Mods could post too, I guess I shouldn't assume that stuff.

Pfffft, they can.
