Better then blowing it on something that you might have an affinity for at the time you get your cash. I usually spend money at once, albeit I still got hundreds more saved.

XD same here! Buttttttt, I have to save what I can because my fiance & I are moving back near my mom because she's been sick & in & out of the hospital for the past few months with no one willing to help out my 12 year old sister :/

I want to too, but I have to drive 60 miles a day to College, so most of my income goes to feeding my car. At least it gets good gas mileage. Then on top of that, I have to pay for certification tests, and food, and such... to make a long story short, being an adult sucks. lol

Someday I'll donate more money.
 
I've been meaning to become at least Tier 5, but I have to find a steady job first so I can pay to donate again.

You should keep track of what you loan them so they can pay you back, since you can remind them that you are still a college student and need to be putting money away in case of an emergency of some kind. It's what I do when my parents need to borrow money.
 
to get to tier 6 you have to donate a total of 100 USD. I'm not sure of the extra pertks, I think you get bigger PM space case 1000 isn't enough and I think you get more storage space on the server for uploading photos too, I think. Theres a couple more but I can't remember them.

Did anybody else pick up a 3DS today?
 
I got 3DS today, it was killing my eyes after 30 minutes O_o. Not much of a selection, so I just got Street Fighter IV and Lego Star Wars.

My brother in law told me the same exact thing when he tried it out at his work today. He says he doesn't recommend it if you have very sensitive eyes and don't want to risk yourself damaging your eyesight, especially little ones.
 
DS Lite with hinge and shoulder button issues for me as well, but at least it still works.

Just a question for when/if I can afford a 3DS... can you transfer wi-fi settings (Friend Code/List data, connection settings, etc.) from a DS/Lite to a 3DS?
 
My old DS has a broken hinge but it's been working since 2005 just fine and I don't think I'll replace it until I get a 3DS sometime in the future.
 
The hinge on the, 3DS is horrible, the top screen wobbles badly when open. I don't know if the DSi did that, but I know that my DS doesn't do it as badly.

Other than that and the lack of good titles, its a really cool device, the ability to take 3D pictures is epic. The angle and tilt of the screen has to be just right or the 3D will really screw with your eyes.
 
Not going to buy a 3DS. My original silver DS works just fine, and until it stops doing so will be the only time I consider getting a new DS. Probably won't even go for the 3DS... Eh, not into the whole gimmicky thing, just wanna play games very, very casually.
 
Well I'm superly excited, Google just announced what city they are going to be laying their 1Gb fiber in: Kansas City, Kansas. Which is only 130 miles from where I live. They said that work will start in 2012, I graduate in 2012, When I graduate, I am so moving to Kansas City, tech jobs should be easy to come by once this gets in motion.

What sort of tech work do you want to get into? Anything specific?
