I think it's the worst when it is in the middle of the night and it's so loud it wakes you up ;w; gosh. haha. Luckily it didn't storm yesterday, but it had been for the last week
 
It makes me jump all the time. when it was storming when I was little, my mom would read me scary stories by candlelight. It was pretty creepy, but fun
 
I just have very bad sensory issues to it. It's not so much that it scares me, it's just... sometimes you barely hear it and other times it's like KABOOM right out of nowhere, and I nearly have a heart attack. x_x I've actually had it wake me up before to the point where I've almost cried. I can usually do okay pulling through it without melting down, but it's just... the unpredictability of whether or not it's going to be some loud KABOOOOOOM or something. >< I try to tell myself it's like being at Thunder Hole in Acadia or that my grandfather is up there bowling with my god... but it doesn't help. TT_TT
 
I actually like thunderstorms, especially during the nighttime. I lose sleep during those storms but it's actually worth listening to them. However, lightning freaks me out a bit because I always hear those lightning accidents on the news and here I am like *shriek*.

It's weird. haha.

However, just yesterday I had a few monsoonal thunderstorms pass by the area, but not through my house. I'm so excited though! Finally we'll see some rain, but the HUMIDITY ugh.

That's the same for me. I'm always like "omg what if it hits my house or something?" DX It doesn't really freak me out though, just spooks me a little.

Anyway, is anyone joining the get together this year? :O I joined the prettiest profile contest. :D I was going to join the get together pokemon challenge, but I realized it would be too hard for me. I hack most of my pokemon, and it would have disqualified me from the challenge. D:
 
I had a teacher at my middle school get hit by lightening. Since then I bolt to my car or into the house when I see it strike or flash.

I wanted to host my own event but I didn't make it to the regristration date
 
I joined a bunch of events for the GT, haha. It's been a couple years since I got to participate in one, so I'm excited to take part in one again~

re: lightning, I don't mind it too much unless it's pouring. Then I'm a bit more weary, especially if I'm in the car x_x
 
I've been so busy that I almost forgot about the Get-Together, and I still feel like I'll be busy to properly participate. ;;

As for lightning, it's cool to watch, but I tend to stay inside when it's lightning if I can help it. I do like to purposefully be outside in the rain, though.
 
I'd join more events, but they seem difficult...I might as well try them though, this sort of opportunity only comes around once a year~

Lightning looks cool to me, though after hearing facts about how hot a lightning strike can be and all that, I try to stay inside during a thunderstorm...though, if it was raining after school and on my way back home or something and the rain was accompanied by lightning, I'd play God and act like I created it. :D

Imagination is bliss, even at my age.
 
Last night I luckily heard it start raining right before I went to sleep....my window was open and if I hadn't heard the rain and closed it my floor would have been soaked!
 
So far, Design a Hoenn Mega-Evolution contest is the only one I've signed up for. Pretty soon, I'm also going to try Around PC in 7 Days; looks fun!

Even if you don't complete them, I think you get an emblem for participating. I'd try the others, but like you said, a lot of them are really hard or challenging. :/

I heard the safest place to be during a thunderstorm is your bathtub. No joke. o.o

True that xp I'd be happy with an emblem anyway.

The safest place during anything is the bathroom, especially the shower or bathtub. Even during natural disasters.

Well, the safest place during a tornado is ALWAYS the basement. fffffff the hood of my Loki keeps going over my eyes and making it hard to type almost. I'd be happy with just the participation emblem as well. XD I'm not really in it for the emblems or anything though.

I have reasons. :x I'm not really intimidated by it or anything. It's just... I can't really exceed something I'm not used to doing or whatever. It has to be based on my abilities and such, or else I will avoid doing it since I know what my limits are and all that stuff. ><

I might try to take a look at it though. It does seem rather interesting. I haven't had a chance to check out all of the threads that interest me either. I didn't join the writing competition because I can never write about a subject given to me by someone else. It can only come from my brain, not from some other person. :/
 
What is this GT everybody's on about. Great Trainer?

jk I just haven't signed up for any events. Visited the skype chat yesterday though :)
 
I still need to do some battling in the battle tournament, haha. It'd be silly if I signed up for it only to not take part in any battles at all XD Now if only I can remember to log onto the server and not get distracted by iSketch/CAH/anything else...
