As you can see, Calm Specs Politoed cannot 2HKO specially defensive Amoonguss with Ice Beam, thanks to Leftovers. Amoonguss can then put the frog to sleep and eventually 3HKO it with Giga Drain (20 SpA Amoonguss Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 104-126 (32.3 - 39.2%) -- 99% chance to 3HKO). Also, if Politoed is lucky and manages to wake up, Amoonguss can easily switch out and recover 33% of its health thanks to Regenerator. The mushroom can also use Leech Seed to help recover health faster, while Protect allows it to scout for any switch. HP Ice can be used over Protect to catch a dragon on the switch (especially Dragonite, a common partner to Politoed, who is 2HKOed after Stealth Rock damage).

Mixed wallbreaking Thundy-T switches in for "free" on 3/4ths of Gastrodon's moveset, and while it takes 32.4 - 38.4% from an uninvested Scald (which is pretty bad to be honest) it has the benefit of being perceived as a pokemon that Gastrodon can usually wall (and such if you have played "badly" beforehand it adds to the illusion, catching your opponent off guard), letting you get a surprise KO with an ebelt boosted Grass Knot (95.7 - 112.6%). Should be plenty if Gastrodon has taken any prior damage at all / got burned by Rotom-W, or alternatively if you do not want to bluff a choiced item, run LO and do (103.7 - 122%).


ALSO: I'm pretty certain Suicune could outstall Lanturn by not choosing Sleep Talk half of the time when it is resting. Charge only boosts the electric attack by +2 at any given point iirc (and gives a +1 to SpD every time it is used)
so it would go like this:

Turn 1: Suicune uses Calm Mind (+1), Lanturn switches in.

Turn 2: Suicune uses Calm Mind (+2) (it is faster after all) - Lanturn uses either Charge or Thunderbolt - TBolt does (27.2 - 32.6%) to a +2 Cune -- 55.5% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Turn 3: Suicune uses Calm Mind (+3) - Lanturn either uses +2 TBolt or Charges. - +2 Tbolt does (43.5 - 51.9%). You now have to Charge again to give TBolt +2.

Turn 4: Suicune uses Calm Mind (+4) - Lanturn either charges or uses a normal TBolt, which does (18.3 - 22.2%). At this point Suicune has at MOST taken a maximum of 61,6% with max damage rolls, or it is sitting comfortably at 60,6% complete total health as you have a +2 TBolt coming off.

Turn 5: Suicune uses Calm Mind (+5) - Lanturn uses +2 TBolt - it does (31.1 - 37.1%). Suicune currently has a minimum of 29,75% HP. Either rest at this point or go for the last CM.

At this point, I would just spam Scald until I'd need to rest again (otherwise you'd be healing Lanturn when it struggles), and repeat until I had about ~10 of them left. Of course, only using STalk every other turn as well. This adds up to a total of this:

.. Suicune has a total of (16 + 16 + 24 + 32) PP + an additional 16 from using Rest w/o STalk. Totals up at 104 turns, and it has the high likelyhood of getting either frozen or fully paralyzed given who it is up against.

Lanturn has a total of (32 + 16 + 24 + 24) PP = Totals up at 96 turns.

By the way, a Lanturn Magnet CRIT does 81.6 - 96.5% to 252 HP / 0 SpD Suicune, so it can technically survive it and rest off the damage provided it has gotten to set up. All depends on the hax gods - but CroCune can beat that Lanturn set :>
