Anime/Manga Crunchyroll Announces Their Own Convention

I dont think very many people other than super dedicated Crunchyroll fans will actually go.

CR seems to intend it to have more industry event elements to it than we've seen before in anime conventions. Like bringing in more elements of E3 or PAX but applying them to anime. It's not a "Hey guys, we're Crunchyroll, we're hosting a run-of-the-mill convention!", it's a "Hey guys, we're Crunchyroll, we're going to host a convention that's more like PAX than your typical anime convention!" press release.

Not sure about that. CR have some decent reach, could possibly bring in some 'decent' guests. Cosplay crowd are always looking for new events to drag humanity down too.

CR actually does have some serious ties in the industry. If they're smart about it, it wouldn't be too hard to rocket to near the top of US anime conventions in attendance, since numbers 2 and 3 for attendance are at about 30k people each, and Anime Expo in LA is only barely about 100k.

The cosplayers that actually care enough to go all out have been the nicest and also the least smelly people at every con I've been to. It's the people who look "normal" who tended to smell more, especially those who were super heavyset.

Just when I thought conventions couldn't get worse, one comes along and it'll be almost completley full of streamers.

I mean, people who can afford to pay for streaming likely know that getting a decent job means you've got to shower at least once a day for basic hygiene.

I'm not too sure about Crunchyroll doing an anime convention, considering how god-awful their Anime Awards/Yuri on Ice Awards went. Also, I obviously can't go, considering that I'm a person who usually never has money to go to conventions, cause all it means is getting money for an airplane and more.

I don't really care, honestly. Not gonna go, as I don't pay for Crunchyroll. Would rather go to Anime Next than a Crunchyroll Convention.
