Curse of the Golden Hook - Epilogue

I'm the obvious choice because I was chosen to be executed in the last game due to being inactive? Then I give information about my role and of players and that makes me mafia, come on. I wouldn't have acted so defensive last day if I wasn't randomly being picked as mafia, what else would you expect me to do? Adding to that point, there were many times I stated that I cannot guarantee Johnny was maf, I'm as surprised as you are that he was inno as well as Wizard because I seriously thought those were last 2 maf.

ANYWAY, over those 2 nights I visited Nimsy and Ash and found out they were both inno, I was going to vote Nimsy because of the suspicion and amount of times she has strongly argued for others being maf. Ash was a random visit because I had no idea. Where we go from here, I don't know, but I have a valuable role here and it would be smart to keep me for at least a couple days. At least over that time I can find out about a couple more players and we will have a strong position as innos to win the game.

Rozureido was the tailor, as I've found out last night. The bit about my nightly investigation should confirm my claim of being a dead-people inspector (and hopefully my innocence). Thanks for the vest, Plenty O' Fish! ;3

The only cursed that had the misfortune of visiting me was Rozureido.

So yes, innocents die if they visit me.

I've basically proven my innocence though, for the most part. I softed my role at the beginning of the game, hard claimed it day 2, and this past phase post basically confirmed it.

Epilogue

The Crew cornered their final suspect. Edwin Locke had been skirting around the previous day, conjuring ingenious lies and causing more innocent crewmates to die. Now, on the fifth day of corruption, the crewmates had finally seen through his lies.

The light-sleeper Jackal hadn't heard Edwin visiting his room in the night, and judging from the pile of corpses he'd been accountable for he wasn't the type to miss a visitor. It was at that moment that it all clicked, those around who knew of Jackal's true identity nodded to themselves. Edwin Locke had to die.

Cuffed and held in place, The Captain was summoned in the late morning.

"So this was our last traitor?" The Captain enquired, capturing the gaze of each of his subjects in turn. His pirates were angry, tired and mourning but he could see the conviction in their eyes. They were truly his loyal subjects.

Drawing his sword, The Captain looked down on the now-kneeling Locke. The man's pupils were heavily dilated, his sclera greyed, it was not the pirate that The Captain once knew.

The polished iron of The Captain's sword swiftly cut through the cursed one's neck, the head rolling away. Gushings of black blood spurted out across the deck, covering The Captain's shoes. But with this it was done, The Salty Snail was finally free of the curse - all that remained were those of strong will, and each of their wishes were to be granted.

X went home to play WoW for the rest of eternity, after the treasure granted him an eternal subscription.

Plenty O'Fish went on to discover a haul of magnificent vests, made of every colour of string imaginable.

Jackal had wished to become a tyranical god, and after slaughtering so many random innocents in the past few days he was well on his way.

Seifer soon found the rare treasure he asked for - another penguin-pirate.

Nekomimi Mihawk transcended the boundaries of time, space and reality and found herself the proud owner of a Mawile.

Meanwhile, God did similar. Rather than a Mawile he summoned forth an army of Bidoof to begin his world wide domination.​

And The Captain? Well, his wish was granted too. He had peered into the treasure the moment they had lifted the lid and made his wish. Sure enough, the treasure had made his ideal become true - for he now led the strongest pirate crew.

This game was so fun to write phase posts for, mainly due to the hilarious names you guys picked out. I'm also glad to say it was jam-packed with night actions so I hope everyone enjoyed it. Apologies to Bardothren, the only player not to get to activate his role, and Ash for being a lone horny penguin!

I'd really love to know what you guys thought of the set up - did you like having your own alibis? Picking what kind of role you had? Any roles you thought would have been good to see?

MVPs

Innocent MVP: Nimsy
Despite being the cause of death for the only doctor role, Nimsy unknowingly drew the attention of the (rather dangerous) Vigilante, Ketsueki. Thanks to this the innos were in a much better position to win. On top of this, Nimsy was often driving the interrogations to work out what was going on. Shame about wrongly accusing Johnny though, you could have easily wound up dead instead!

Mafia MVP: Spartacus
Being new to the game Spartacus was a bit worried about giving himself away! Despite making a few big slip ups that could have spared Johnny's life, he managed to make up some fake cop reports on the spot and fooled the majority. Good job!

Honorable Mentions
  • Golgari stealing a vest N0 and avoiding death for the rest of the game.
  • Johnny's spider senses killing off Netto before he even used his NA properly.
  • Universe for not being targetted by a single NA.
