Customized User Titles for PC Supporters

It would also relate back to if the member is willing to go back and forth also, which I am presuming most wouldn't be!

... lol, what? I'm sure if the member wanted the colorful title in the first place, he/she wouldn't mind changing it back when they became tired of it.

Just my two cents, but why does it need to be HTML? I know of several ways to create colored text. And is it not possible to restrict it to the "font color=X"Text"/font" , "b"Text"/B" and "i"Text"/i" HTML, not allowing any other tags to be used?

There's also BBcode, or is it not possible to use that here?
[ color=X ]Text[ /color]

There are three options for user titles. No user title, custom user title, and custom user title with HTML. :/ So it has to be HTML and thus it would have to be done manually.

Could there be a possibility for Supporters to be able to request the removal of Usertitles in the future? ( I personally would be happy with the choice of having a usertitle and being able to disable it.)

It's possible to do that, but you'd have to make a usergroup for EVERY supporter, and set the permissions. Too much hassle for the staff.

sorry, I must be rusty at the VB admin CP. I was sure that under the edit user page you could set a specific user to have one of the three settings: No UT, normal UT, Admin-set UT. though I could be mistaken. either way it's not really a big deal, just something I wouldn't mind seeing happen.

This is just a thought...
Maybe you can give the Supporter you think deserves an HTML user title? :\

Then aren't staff playing favoritism?

Simply a no on that one. =/

Well, there is a way to give someone colored user titles, but NOT HTML, right?
I saw it somewhere on the thread, I think. :\

Maybe make it tier 4 and above can have customised user titles like with the earlier user name changes.

err, to get a soloured usertitle you have to use html. (Ex: <color=FFFFFF>usertitle</color>)

Someone thought you could and it was debunked. There's no way to let you guys have your own coloured usernames without changing it through the Admin CP, so I just don't see it happening. Think of it as one of the few staff-only perks left.

Yeah especially if you keep on changing your usertitle. That is a lot of work. You have to go the Admin CP all the time and keep on changing the styles. I for one keeps on changing my usertitle. I don't want Erica or anyone higher up keep on changing the style my usertitle. They got other things to do around the forum. I am fine of what I got. It is good enough. ^^

Wow, so many suck-ups in this thread. :|

Anyway, it appears the Admins are more than unwilling to do this, so why don't we just give it up?
I mean, c'mon. If you want colored User Titles that badly, it's easy; just get on staff! Now lets go nag Erica about making us all mods.

... just kidding, though. Seriously, don't go and piss her off.

Makes sense, since supporters do get some special staff perks too. :mudkip;):

Er... So when we think someone deserves something, it's favoritism?

In that case we would have to take your mod powers away. And mine, aswell as everyone else's.

No from me, fellas. Let's get logical and look at the Name Changes topic. The requests pile up like crazy, even when it's easy to change an username.

Usertitles? Like Erica said, it's too much of a hassle.

I agree with Ryan. It's not favouritism when you're handing out responisibilty. When you're giving out frivolous things that really don't add anything to the PC experience (unlike, say, blogs) to random people, it does sound like favouritism. At least with modding and such, we go through pros and cons for the user--why it would be good for them to have it, how it wouldn't be abused, etc.--but you can't do that with a mere user title. XD;
