If they do make remakes of RS, I'll probably buy 'em anyway despite RS being my least fave non-spinoff games. Only because I will pretty much try and own all the non-spinoffs out there (with the exception of Blue :<).

When you beat the game you can go catch Cherrim on route 12. So I have one now even if it's like level 40-something and doesn't even know Sunny Day. Just gotta grab another one and get breeding them to prepare for my English playthrough. Not going without Cherrim in that one. :>

Also I miss the underground. :'( That's one thing I wish they'd kept or revamped.

Ok, so the modified car example probably wasn't the best way to explain things. But the point still stands, something can still look good/creative without actually being enjoyable. To use Kura's example with Rhyperior, it's fugly and off-putting because they tried to add too much to it.

Not every design can be simple, they'll have to spruce it up or the designs will look too alike and there won't be a difference. Therefore you can't even call it an evolution then it'll just be like a modification.

...Great, I wanna pick up my Diamond now, since I'm trying to go through it using Pokemon that don't evolve (Chatot, Spiritomb, Hearcross, Girafarig, Carnivine, and Pachirisu), but I'm also playing Tales of Phantasia at the moment...

Really? I think they're absolutely adorable. (Though I know most people really dislike the ice cream line. ;~;) But I guess that goes to show how divided the fandom seems to be on gen 5. Even moreso than I noticed in other gens. :c

But many of them were very forgettable. The good-to-crap ratio is heavily leaning towards the latter.

But that's subjective, really - many people reckon this gen is the best in terms of Pokemon for instance and would disagree with that.

As for the comment someone made that each gen brings more 'bad' Pokemon or something - arguably it also brings about more new Pokemon. As said:

I like Koromori, mostly because it isn't Zubat.
