I know some people that have been mauled by dogs, and in some cases, i've seen on the news stories of people (usually younger ones) killed by dogs, primarily Pit Bulls and assorted other large breeds like them.

Well yes, that would put a lot of people off dogs. But mostly that came down to the species of the dog, it's owner and whether it was more inclined to violence or not.
But saying that, I'd never own a Greyhound or a Pitbull ever, I'm staying with my dream of owning a poodle or a St. Bernard!

Ohh in that case you should get a Tibetan Mastiff.

Those things are bigger than me weight and height, I'm about 5'05" 120lb.

I'm set on getting a Great Pyrenees myself. They're amazing dogs, and super huge. 130+ lbs. But they're a gentle breed, like a big Golden Retreiver. XD

I have a pure yellow lab named Hunter he's a bird huntin' dog
He mostly stays in the backyard, only comes in when it gets too cold. :P
Nobody really like him except me, my dad, n my neice. mom hates him.

I still love him though, he gets a few pets from me or a dead bird (in a game you call "fetch" but with a stick or a fake bird) now and then.
I sound mean haha..
I dont let him up on me and all that since he was a small one though.

I want to get a dog... cause my mom's allergic to cats and other furry animals (Somehow except dogs). And if you don't want to take it or walks make someone else do it XD

They're less inclined to move than dogs, which is cool. :D

I wouldn't be against owning cats after moving out, but I'd make them indoor/outdoor cats so they're going to the bathroom somewhere besides in my house.

I'm a proud owner of two awesome kitties (Serafina and Mikaila), five goldfish, and an awesome Cocker Spaniel (Abby). Heh, I know that's a lot. But the kitties and the dog do not get along, though.

Cats are really cool. They love to sit next to you while you're watching TV, or on the computer. Dogs are also cool because they just love to play and love to have attention. And I have a slight fascination with aquariums.

Aaaannndd I was going to get axolotls but they are too fiddly, with everything in their tank needing to be so precise and all, and the tank always constantly cleaned.

My uncle has lizards, birds, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, a frog and a dog though! And my mum had many, many animals in her backyard through her child hood all at once. From pet kookaburras to pigs and ducks and dogs D:

But I do have pets. Fish and Guinea pigs <3

i have a dog, and it's fluffy and cute and has too much hair in 40degree heat...

my sister wanted a dog, she was all like

"if we get a dog i'll love it and wash it and walk it and clean it and worm it and train it and feed it and brush and love it" ...

she now sits next to the dog while me and mum do all she promised she would ... .-.
