That's fine! No need for apologies. I moved over to Australia about eight years ago from Burnley, England. Not the best place to have grown up, but home is home I guess. Much prefer Australia.

If you've lost your accent I'm gonna be real mad

Whenever I try to mock a British accent (not sure which one is the default one I mock, but I don't think it's the stereotypical British accent everyone mocks) I eventually just drift into some hybrid of a British accent and Australian.

Every time I've tried to imitate a British accent, my girlfriend tells me I just sound like some southern redneck. :( I can't do Irish well either unless I start it with an f-bomb, which I find hilarious aha

Pardon me for asking, but what exactly is a fortnight? I saw above it was mentioned along with the spans of a day and a month, but how long is it? ._.

Speaking of cultural stereotypes, the other day I was visiting my cousin and she had the television going with a converter box and a set of rabbit ears, and on the screen was a crappy 80s film where there was a wrestling tournament going on between every "culture" in the world, represented by a fighter. All of Africa was lumped together with one guy dressed in tribal gear, China's man was a southern Shaolin kung fu master, Japan's was a sumo wrestler, and Scotland got a heavyset guy in the kilt and such...

As low-budget and grossly cheesy as it was, you know what? I enjoyed it. It was entertaining to watch, strangely. I didn't get to finish it because she changed the channel though :/

A fortnight is two weeks. :)

That movie sounds absolutely amazing, to be completely honest. Not something I'd buy/rent/download, but if I was channel surfing and it popped up I wouldn't change the channel.

Leg update! Today is the best day I've had with it so far. Didn't wake me up at a ridiculous time in the morning with pain but that might've been because I took quite a few painkillers before bed. It was hurting at the club last night, but I was sober so I didn't make any drunk mistakes of judgement and injure it even more. The only thing I'm slightly frustrated about is that I left my painkillers and antibiotics at a friends place earlier today when I went over to play some Skyrim with him, and I have no way of getting back there just yet. :\

Okay speaking of movies, who else has seen Interstellar yet? 8) I was so amazed at it that I created a thread in C&M. And I don't create threads often. Yeah.

    like I said in that thread I'm probably not seeing it this weekend which is highly unfortunate but there's no way I'm not seeing it ever. (0;

All I knew of Interstellar was the posters I've seen on the subway, but looking it up now I'm actually pretty excited to see it.
Turns out this has been a pretty good movie year for me.

I haven't heard of Interstellar up until now, but it seems interesting, story-wise. I haven't watched movies for years now, so I'm not sure if I'll watch it or not just yet.

I'll probably watch it when it makes its TV box office debut. I don't really go to the movies unless I have a really big interest in the movie I'm going to watch.

In some other news, my life sucks. Lost my drivers licence three months ago and I've mangled my leg so I can't walk anywhere, plus I'm pretty poor this week due to my boss stuffing up with everybody's pay on Friday. Going to be a reeeal long week. :(

I keep hearing great things about Interstellar and that alone makes me want to see it. But first I want to see Big Hero 6 cause it looks cute and fun and also cause Fall Out Boy have a song in it. I hear they went to the LA premiere and Pete Wentz won't stop talking about it so it must be amazing.

That sounds like a really crappy last several months. I've never had any broken bones or arms or legs , but I'm still terribly sorry that's all happening to you.Hope next week starts positive things for you!

I went to my sister's wedding last night and had a ton of fun. This was the first big family gathering I've been to where I'm finally 21 so I was able to get drinks at the bar!!! My sister moved to Alaska about 5 years ago and met a guy there who is from Pennsylvania and the wedding was in Massachusetts (where my whole family lives) so there were people who flew here all the way from Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, and then not so far New York and Pennsylvania. But yeah it was a really fun time with my cousins and everyone else seemed to be having fun too so yayayaa

I've been at weddings before, and I, uh… didn't enjoy them really. There's so much neo-Victorian convention that clashes with normal culture and it puts me on edge… I guess my niece's wedding was also moreso unenjoyable because of how forward she is, and how a lot of people more recently chuck bits of convention that seem stupid or effort-consuming. In my opinion, a formality should either follow your 20th century standard or you follow your own, but either way there needs to be some kind of standard amongst things.

Really though, fruit punch at a wedding is just…

    ._.

I've been to a fair few weddings and they've all been amazing. the last one I went to was particularly fun. I danced with a cute girl for awhile. Suave.

I haven't seen her since and will most likely never see her again. Romantic.

Haven't been to a wedding in ages but they were all awkward family weddings for cousins and stuff so I didn't really have a lot of fun at them. I went to an engagement party for a friend recently though and that was a lot of fun so I cannot wait for the wedding.

The only wedding I've been to is my parent's.

Drummershuff once said he'd invite me to his wedding, but he's a huge liar.
