I tried watching TBBT but for some reason it's not really my cup of tea. I've been trying to give myself a few chances to watch whenever the reruns are being aired. xD

I've been exposed to The Big Bang Theory a lot I basically think Sheldon is too cute (hehehehehe seriously he is) and oh god his Bazinga catchphrase is so funny, especially after I reblogged an image to my Tumblr page which involved it as a parody.

Speaking of which, I have a soft spot for celebs with "adorable" faces in general, as evidenced by a lot of the stuff I post on Tumblr generally being cute. Guess it fits with me loving generally cute Pokemon as well.

I like Big Bang even more since they added Bernadette and Amy and rounded out the female side of the cast. It shows evolution of the show and at the same time it just kinda works better as an ensemble comedy when the genders are more evenly distributed.

Am I the only who has never watched it and has no plans to?
I don't watch a lot of tv, honestly. I do stream anime online, though, but that's only because I don't know if they air Death Note still.

I guess it's faded into obscurity. That's what happens a lot when I hear about cancelled anime series.

If I want to watch a series that's been on for a while, I'd have to put it on hold.. that is until I get Netflix. I really don't prefer starting to watch a series when it's still going on because I would have to see the development of its characters.

I don't always watch anime, but when I do it's either Fruits Basket, InuYasha or Advanced Gen Pokemon.

I love Big Bang Theory so much! I bought a little rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock dice game haha.

I feel like I'm going to voice an unpopular opinion here.

Disclaimer: I realize the show is largely a parody of nerd-culture. Just a point of reference, purely out of curiosity I have sat through around 10 episodes [from various seasons] of TBBT since it came out. Now by common consensus, I am what most people would refer to as a typical 'nerd' [and probably not in the good way]. I enjoy fantasy genres spanning across all media types and infact I obsess over the fandoms I enjoy. I'm an avid D&D player even to the point of having two D&D tattoos. I've played videogames for the majority of my life, and still own more consoles than most people believe exist. I collect comics, I write fantasy, I draw comics myself. I have varying degrees of OCD related to several topics (Of note: tidying and organisation). So yes, I'm probably a nerd. I've grown to accept that.

I can't stand The Big Bang Theory, and here's why. [wall of text inbound, switch all power to front deflector screens]

Spoiler:

I'll stop yabbering on now.

Contrary to popular belief that was invented by Sam Kass and Karen Bryla. I'm not saying that TBBT did anythign wrong referencing it, just spreading some little known trivia.

I do know that they didn't invent the game. It was just popularized by the show. :3

The most hilarious scene from The Big Bang Theory that I remember was from the pilot, when both Sheldon & Leonard both met Penny. Anyone remember that line Sheldon said to tell Penny what they did "that day?" It was great!

Yah, sitcoms aren't that big to me outside of Friends & I've given The Big Bang Theory a big chance after not liking it for a long while(I really didn't like it at first, now its just okay).

I generally prefer an hour(well, 40-45 minute) shows to fill my entertainment. Half hour(20 minutes-ish) is just too short for me.

I'm not much of a sitcom person at all, except that the reason I watched Everybody Hates Chris was that I was really convinced to by someone from elementary school (yes I watched it as the series was going along and I was still only in elementary school). I guess I get a lot of my TV-watching habits from my parents (and they don't watch much at all), with the exception of the cartoons that I watch.

I have that problem with Arrested Development. 20 minute bursts of comedy are fine, but for some reason that show always felt like it tried to fit too much into 20 minutes without making it comfortable. Otherwise, like I said, 20 minute comedies are fine by me. Its the perfect length for the genre, and nothing else is really need from them but short bursts of laughter.
