We don't have proper donuts here, only cheap imitations. What I would do for a Boston Creme right now...
 
I just stopped two cravings in one go. I went to Wendy's and got their $0.99 cent crispy chicken sandwiches (two) and a side caesar salad. Life is good.
 
Ugh, that reminds me that we lost our MacDonald. I think I told you guys that, but I'm still not over it. God damn equivalent is Goody's, a crappy Greek franchise that sucks, just went through a major reform thanks to spoof stores crapping up the quality, which wasn't even that good anyway! Sure nothing beats the homemade goods, but MickeyD's had the best god damn coke in town, and their fries are and always will be salty,artery clogging potato sticks of the gods. /rant
 
Can we ban food topics and weather from the DCC? I feel like literally anytime I come here, that's all that's being discussed and I am always sitting in shock at how boring the conversations are. And yet, I can't really do anything because we're supposed to stay on topic. /rme
 
When I modded OC&D and we still had the DCC I genuinely considered banning the weather as a discussion topic, haha. Not food but I'm sure it would've got to that eventually. I'm sure you guys have more to be talking about than those two things, right? Like... idk. What did you get up to today?

How would anyone feel about a DCC topic blacklist which has things added and removed depending on current trends in things? I.e. for now stick wether and food into it, when some major event which has its own thread comes around then add that event to it, later on remove that event and maybe one of the food or weather topics, and keep playing with it? That way the DCC stops being so stagnant. Hopefully.

To be perfectly honest, I'm fine with it. Sure I continued the topic, but only cause I had nothing to do. As you said, its stagnant, and sometimes I wish we could just be a bit more productive in our discussions.

Well, I'm trying to change the topic here right now since some people seem to not like... discussing food.

I personally find it boring when people discuss about clothing and fashion, but that's just me.

But yeah, I remember the good old days of OC&D and when the DCC was over there... it was the only part of that section barring the celebration threads that I posted in prior to both of them moving to what became CC&P.

I'm here for a bit, going to be getting off soon and I'll pop onto the server when I get back.

I appreciate your efforts, but I feel like by just forcing topic changes as they're needed we're missing the underlying problem of how these 'bad' topics always come back here. That's why I feel a blacklist would be good; gets rid of topics which we know aren't very good for whatever reason (like those that I mentioned in my previous post) and keeps them out until we're cool with them.

I normally don't like making big deals about things on PC. Some of you know my viewpoint on PC as a whole; it should be a hobby and not taken all that serious. But Jesus Christ, after so much of the same thing, it just builds and builds and builds. I come to the DCC for mindless chatter, yeah, I think that's why everyone does. But nearly every single time I come here, it's the same discussion over and over again.

So, yeah, I would be all for avoiding that.
