Orchid

"Time for me to teach you a little something Orchid. I see that you wanted to catch a pokemon, but that pokemon had a child. Do you think those baby pokemon would survive? You need to learn to think about things before reacting. At least when it comes to the group. Also, it is not nice to snatch a poke ball from someone like that. You should have waited little miss. You do remind me a bit of the old Tulip. More so than Tulip reminds me of Tulip."

"Now then, about that Ursaring, how about you find one that is aggressive. One that doesn't have a family."

Orchid looked at him blankly.

"I dont give a fuck if it has a family. I also dont care if Im not nice. Im a cold hearted bitch. Besides all I would have to do is kick that one in the face and I think it would be agressive. " she rolled her eyes at Shadow, like a teenage daughter would to her dad.

"And also... there isn't an eeveelution that is poison at the moment. None have been discovered. Also... how do you not get cold? Someone like you I figured would get cold, especially in those clothes. And my heat probably wouldn't require me to hold you. You probably could just stay close. You know as well is Tulip, that I like Arryn."

"No , I told you. Im a cold hearted bitch. I dont get cold." she said matter o' factly.

"Yeah I know you like Arryn, but shes not as hot as me. Shes boring and annoying," she said sighing.

"So let me ask you a question why dont you like me. I mean I know im a bitch but Im not that bad am I?" she said frowning. She secretly did care what people thought of her.

Deacon Masterson

Deacon was on cloud nine right now. He was beginning to feel love for Tulip more and more by the minute. He listened to her talk to him. Tulip smiled at Deacon as he kissed her again. She blushed a little when he hugged her then stood up. Deacon was happy and continued to listen to her. "Oh wow. Big spender. Well I dont really care where we go because the company is so great." she giggled, linking arms with him. "Okay then, then how about we go to The Golden Dragon?? Rex and I were there earlier and the food is great. I'm sure you'd like it, and I'd like to spend more time with you, girlfriend." Deacon said back to her. He let her link arms with him and kissed her on the cheek as he continued to walk with her out of the forest and into town towards the Golden Dragon. "Hello. Back for more food? Would you like a booth or a table?" the host asked. "Booth please." Deacon responded and they were lead to a booth where Deacon sat across from Tulip. She heard him talk to him again and ask him about his childhood.

"So Deacon tell me about your past. I know thats kinda hard but I wont judge I promise." she said smiling. "Sure! " Deacon said to her and began to recall his past collectively. "Well I was born thousands of miles north of here in a mountain range that rivals Mt. Silver called Mt. Danga in a village of about 30-50 people called the Village of Dragons. It was nice and quiet and eventually my parents and I had our own house made for us on a slope of the mountain as a cottage we lived in. I met most all of my Dragon type Pokemon around there in their basic forms and had plenty good memories with them. When I grew up though I became a teacher at the school in our village and taught aspiring kids about the basics of Pokemon. One day when I was 17 though Team Rocket invaded our village. I tried to get back to my parent's house to warn them, but it was too late. By the time I got back there my parents were dead... before I had time to react Team Rocket abducted me cause I was weak and used my Hydreigon's DNA to make me a hybrid. I destroyed the lab they used to make me a hybrid in and fled right after that flying solo for awhile. Since then I have tried various ways to be a thorn in their side, and when I heard about this group from Darren I knew I wanted to join and help out...." Deacon explained all this to Tulip before they were asked what they would like to eat using the standard conversational gestures.

Spoiler:

Brian was lost. Technically he knew exactly where he was, he was in the forest. But he had no idea which way the nearest town was. He paused near a small clearing. He decided that he needed to rest, it would be lighter in the morning anyway. He lay down on the ground next to his Pokemon. As his eyes closed he started to dream, and lately his dreams were more than weird.
Brian was standing in a cave, he felt cold. But not cold like wintertime, a more emotional coldness, like the coldheartedness of a person. He knew where he was the instant he saw the boy. He was lost at first, he had experienced this from the boys point of view years ago. He felt like he was going to faint, which was a weird sensation in a dream since he was already asleep. The boy was silent as he walked, until he tripped and hit his face on the ground. Heh, they said he'd grow out of that. The boy then stood up, took something out of his pocket and threw it into the cave. Brian knew exactly what it was, he left it alone. He didn't want to ever see that stone again. It was something that reminded him of his father, and of his failures. The stone was a small shiny white rock that glowed when the holder felt joy, it had not glowed for years. The boy sat down and cried.

The sound of tears slowly faded as his dream changed, as it usually does. But this time Brian was no longer scared, he dared his dreams to tease him to mock him. He could handle anything. And that's where he was wrong.

He saw nothing at first, the dark consumed the image. Then a small prick of light widened until he saw deacon, and Rex. It was in the restaurant, and he was staring at deacon. Deacon was the only reason he joined the group, the only thing that made him feel like he belonged. But he realized now that it wasn't because he was cute or that he had a crush on deacon. But because he acted like a true friend, even before getting to know Brian. He realized at that moment he had made a mistake. Then the dream changed, but this time in a flash.

He saw the drone in the window, his vision fixed on the drone his perspective changed as it zoomed outwards. He saw the building, then the city, then the world, then it zoomed in and he saw a man. Brian could barely make out anything at all, but he knew that this was important. He felt a chill of an emotion he loathed. Greed. And just as fast as the dream started it ended, he woke with a start.

"Wha!" Was all he could get out before the swarm of beedrill attacked him. He was pelted at least twenty times before his Pokemon came to his rescue. Sylveon used fairy wind, fennekin used ember and pidgeotto used gust and their combined effort drove off the beedrill. Brian smiled at them, "if I knew how, we would be headed back to the group. But all I can hope now is that they find my note and come looking for us, or we're doomed."

Shadow:

"Yeah I know you like Arryn, but shes not as hot as me. Shes boring and annoying. So let me ask you a question why don't you like me. I mean I know I'm a rattata but I'm not that bad am I?" Orchid asked, something in her voice made Shadow take a mental note.

He walked toward the cave, knowing that he needed to get done before the night fell. He thought about the question for a moment and then answered while continuing to the cave.

"Orchid, how can you think you aren't that bad. You attacked Arryn and never apologized even after I allowed you in the group. Even though I agree that you are beautiful, how you act kinda pushes all that away. You don't care about other's feelings. You don't care if you hurt others. You don't think about anyone else, but yourself. It isn't always looks that matters what matters is what is in the inside. Tulip was kind and sweet even though she acted the way she did. Arryn, although has a bad side, she is also sweet and thinks about others. You are beautiful on the outside, but not in the inside. But I want to change that." Shadow couldn't think of anything else to say.

"Now come on, let's go. I would like to finish this soon. If you want to come, then come. I wonder what happened to Tulip and you to make you the way you are." Shadow said as he continued into the Ice Cave.

The cave was made out of ice and rock. Shadow could never understand what made these places so cold. He could see his and Eevee's breath. He could here pokemon playing around deeper in the cave, and the deeper he got, the colder it got.

__________________________________________________________________________

Phoena:

The cold, snowy air made her eyes water. Her nose was running and she was annoyed by the way Shadow spoke. To her, he had become too soft, but no doubt her feelings were still there. She remained hidden, locking on to each one.

Shadow... why does it seem like you are in love with someone else... why did you never look at me more? Why did you have to leave the bounty hunters... Why did you never talk about me like you do this Arryn girl? None of this would be happening right now. But you are still a target... She wondered.

Phoena opened up the file and read over it. The data she had received was so out of date. She looked over his date of birth and froze.

"Oh my god... its his birthday today..." Phoena whispered to herself, covering her mouth with her free hand.

Gray
Pokemon: None
Type: Electric, Fighting
Mood: Irritable

The girl who was once mad at first, seemed to have calmed down and become willing to cooperate. Or she must have thought of an Idea for taking me down that requires me to follow her. Who cares, If it means finding the strongest Pokemon, So be it. Besides, I doubt any underhanded tricks she has up her sleeves will work on me.

I glanced at Val, who didn't seem as trusting. Caution does suit her well... I don't know why though if she's already dead.

"C'mon Val, We'll follow this girl. She said she wanted us to do something for her if she can show us the strongest Pokemon. Lets go along with it for now." I told Val, as I proceeded to follow the new girl.

"If anything happens I'm sure we can get out of it. We are strong after all, and I doubt that girl would try anything stupid."

As she was addressed, Val dipped her head in acknowledgement. "If that's the choice you've made." She then directed a brief glare in the girl's direction. As they set off, she placed herself between the girl and Gray. He was a good find, and she doubted she'd ever find a master like him if he died. He wasn't scum, like Rocket. He had power, and he seemed to know how to use it. So she'd protect him with her life. Or, rather, her unlife. As they walked, she purposely kept a little closer to Gray. "I must admit, I'm curious. I don't understand why you allow some of the hybrids in your group to stay. That stupid Dark/Dragon idiot? The Poison type slutty dirt clod? If it were up to me, I'd kill them." She rested her hand lightly on the hilt of her sword. She'd never been in the Mt. Silver area before, and was also curious as to the kinds of Pokemon that could be found here. She wanted to catch a Flying type that was actually large enough to transport her places. Gliscor couldn't exactly lift her. Surprising, as it was roughly the same size as some other Pokemon that could lift a human being.
"How does a freakin' Golbat carry you around?"
"Surprised to see me all the way out here?" His green eyes met hers and narrowed, a flash of light glinting off the metallic blade of the knife he held. "You've been avoiding me, Valkyrie. Is that any way to treat a lover?"
"You aren't my Arceusdamn lover, and I'm not yours. Get out of here before I suddenly decide following Master Giovanni's orders isn't important, and take your head off."
"You're pushing it, doll." The knife flicked out, only to be blocked by a swiftly drawn sword.
"My patience grows thin, you psychotic freak."
Shoot, she'd zoned out again. Not even a day had passed and she was already being haunted by memories of her time with Team Rocket. That particular memory made her shoulder twinge lightly; his Golbat had managed to sink its fangs deep into her flesh that day. She'd been stupid and forgotten it was still out of its Pokeball. She'd hadn' been so quick to stop watching her back since then.

"Im not that bad. Apologizes dont mean shit. Im not sorry. The situation was different then. I dont even feel bad for attacking her, it was fun, I was obeying orders. I wonder why Im that way Shadow. No one thought about my feelings, didn't care about hurting me at team rocket. Of course I only think of myself. Thats because the only person I have is myself. Wehn you and the group decide Im too much to handle, or whatever. Im alone. Im by myself. That inside shit is crap. We all have the same insides, blood, guts, bones. Why do you want to change that? why should I want to chane that? You guys like Gray and hes as much as an asshole as me. Im sorry if I was wrong and I thought that someone loving me could make me happy and make me less of a huge asshole. But im stupid because its all fake. Love isn't real. Its just a lie we tell ourselves, so that we can bond with other people and not feel so alone. When the hard reality is that we are fucking alone in this world. I dont know how I got so stupid. No one is ever going to love me because love isn't real." she said, tears almost came out of her eyes but she pushed them back.

"Now come on, let's go. I would like to finish this soon. If you want to come, then come. I wonder what happened to Tulip and you to make you the way you are."

"Why do you say it like that? What made me the way I am? I dont know. I had everything about me changed. I was used as someones sex slave. I got beaten up. I come to these people who are supposed to be my friends, and they dont even like me. So I really wonder why Im like this. And I can never change. I thought love could change me but it cant. Thats like asking for a magic spell to change me." she said walking.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw a Winter Sawsbuck sitting. She went over to it and touched it. The Sawsbuck stood up and she got on its back, riding it along side Shadow.

Tulip listened to his story, amazed by what all he had gone through.

"Wow you really went through alot Deacon..." she said softly. She picked at the salad she had gotten. It didn't take much for her to become full.

"I Dont know if you know this but Darren was the first guy I was with in the group... we kinda had a fight... Then he died... I never got to say sorry... Oh sorry thats not good conversation."

"Well I asked you a question.... Wanna ask me one?" she said smiling at him.

Rex Dart

Rex wanders aimlessly through the woods. He honestly has no idea where he is, but following his trail back wouldn't exactly be hard. Since no one else is around, he talks out loud, finding it easier to hear himself over the roaring in his head.

"What am I doing out here? Things seemed so much easier before we came to this country. The group needed protecting, and I was good at it. But now? The group is getting larger, everyone's getting stronger, and I'm still the same as before. They don't need me, they don't even take me seriously! What do I want? What am I fighting for?"

His thoughts are interrupted by a loud buzzing as he is charged by an angry Beedrill. He lashes out quickly with Arm Thrust, delivering two quick punches to its head. It careens off course, crashing into a tree. Four more Beedrill appear, slightly battered and very upset. Rex grins in anticipation.

"Oh, right. I'm fighting because it's fun!" He roars in challenge, Bulking Up as the Beedrill rush him. The first one gets hit with Arm Thrust, Rex delivering five swift punches that knock the Bug out. The other three hit him with a Poison Sting, Twineedle, and Fury Attack. None of them really hurt.

Rex grabs two of them by their heads, spinning in a circle and Storm Throwing them. They each smack headfirst into trees, bouncing off and hitting the ground. (Rex imagines them making little *ping!* sounds like pinball bumpers.) The last Beedrill weighs its options, turning tail and flying away. Rex doesn't give it the chance, unleashing a Flamethrower from his mouth and toasting the Bug.

He lets out a breath, ending the effects of Bulk Up. "What was I talking about? ...oh well. Must not have been important." He resumes his walk, only to find Brian on the ground surrounded by his Pokemon. Surprised, Rex heads over to him. "What are you doing out here, kid?

"What are you doing out here, kid?"

"Rex?"
Brian ran at him squeezing him into a hug. "Oh am I glad to see you!"
Brian stepped back, suddenly feeling the effects of the Beedrills' stingers. "Just give me a sec, then I'll explain." Brian said while sitting down on the ground.
"I ran off beacause I thought the group would be better without me, I couldn't contribute anything to them. I'm always scared and clumsy and I hate fighting. I mean, how does that help them to stop team rocket? I felt left out and rejected, I mean I fell out of the sky and Tulip and Deacon were too distracted flirting to even care. I left and nobody even noticed! I thought you were looking for me, but nope just an accident, running into me."
At this point he was starting to feel angry again.
"But you probably don't understand, or even care."
Brian looked up at him and frowned.

Deacon seemed to have forgotten he had a warrant out for his arrest when he last left the town, and now that he was back it did not take long for the police to find him. As the two love birds chatted in the diner, the police were carefully positioning themselves around them. They had learned from last encounter and had decided on a calm first approach, but also were ready for lethal action if needed. Across the street, SWAT snipers were in position as one of the police force's lieutenants casually walked into the diner. The middle aged woman with long dark hair walked up to the pair and said in a stern voice as she held up her badge, "Deacon Masterson, you are under arrest for assaulting officers of the law and association and aiding terrorists. I know about your powers and my men are ready to use lethal force if required against you and your pokemon if you resist." She then looked over at Tulip and added, "You also would not want her or others caught in the crossfire and killed so please come quietly and calmly."

The sounds of a helicopter could be heard approaching and looking outside there was a dozen or so officers looking like they were about to go to war. Several Ice and water Pokémon were seen being deployed from their pokeballs, ready to attack as the other diners or restaurant employees quickly fled out the front doors. Someone had informed the police on Deacon's dragon type…

Harvey knew it was time the act, the group was fractured and separated. Walking briskly up the stairs he pushed open the door to the hotel door access where a VTOL was waiting for him. Remotely activating the door to the strange blade shaped aircraft a door on the side slid open, and he stepped inside. Setting the designation for the Ice Cave the drone took to the sky in perfect silence. Driven by technology that should not even exist, the VTOL lacked normal engines or propellers that could give away its position so there was no warning for its arrival when it dropped Harvey off with his equipment. The VTOL craft then disappeared into some clouds until Harvey needed it again.
"Now to spin my web," muttered Harvey as he let out a puff of smoke from his cigar before tossing it to the side and slipping on a helmet to hide his identity. Walking up to the cave, the man set down the large black case he was carrying and opened it. Removing several of the circular devices he began to install them on the Ice Cave walls quickly before spraying them over with a white paint, then water. When the water froze the devices would be well hidden in the cave's walls.

Stepping back to admire his work after he had installed the contents of the box, Harvey's enhanced senses picked up someone behind him. Looking back he saw a blue haired woman. Within seconds his retina's HUD was displaying information on the woman. "Phoena I assume, here to collect a bounty on Shadow," said Harvey as he walked toward the woman. "I think we should work together on this task," added the man his voice hidden by a voice scrambler that made him sound like a machine.

Rex Dart

Brian hugs Rex, before needing to sit down. Rex sits by him, noticing the stinger marks.

"I ran off beacause I thought the group would be better without me, I couldn't contribute anything to them."

Rex blinks, realizing he'd had the same thoughts, but Brian goes on.

"I'm always scared and clumsy and I hate fighting. I mean, how does that help them to stop team rocket? I felt left out and rejected, I mean I fell out of the sky and Tulip and Deacon were too distracted flirting to even care. I left and nobody even noticed!"

He's starting to get angry, which seems to be uncommon for him. Rex lets him vent a little more.

"I thought you were looking for me, but nope just an accident, running into me. But you probably don't understand, or even care."

"I don't understand? Because I'm just the guard dog, a dumb animal who couldn't possibly understand what you're going through? Kid, don't think you know my mind. Sometimes, I don't even know what's going on in there." He isn't angry, but he does sound a little bitter.

"Look, kid... Brian. Back there, everyone's angry and out for revenge, and looking for a fight. I don't think they've stopped to ask why. I don't care about Team Rocket or what they did. I just want to live my life in peace, relax somewhere nice, enjoy a meal with all the special people in my life."

He sighs, looking back toward town. "But they won't let me. So I have to fight, to protect my friends and the future I'd like to have. You, with your big heart, give me hope for that future. Even if you don't want to fight, you can show off your heart, keep us focused on what really matters, and if they don't see it, Uncle Rex will straighten 'em out."

He grins at Brian, offering him a hand up. "I don't think I found you by accident. I think I found you because I'm the only one with a heart as big as yours."

"Look, kid... Brian. Back there, everyone's angry and out for revenge, and looking for a fight. I don't think they've stopped to ask why. I don't care about Team Rocket or what they did. Brian side-hugged him. "Well lets go sit down and have that nice meal then, I'm starving." He laughed and stood up. "We might want to avoid that restaurant though, they probably won't be too happy to see us again!" He then remembered the police. "What about those police though, I never got a chance to ask you what that was about. You're not a criminal are you?" He said jokingly. Although he was seriously concerned that something was going on with the police. He started to recall the man from his nightmare behind the computer. He must have a connection, but that's impossible. He dismissed the thought.

Rex feels genuinely happy when Brian hugs him again. At least he got this right.

"Well lets go sit down and have that nice meal then, I'm starving. We might want to avoid that restaurant though, they probably won't be too happy to see us again!"

Rex laughs, as he has to agree.

"What about those police though, I never got a chance to ask you what that was about. You're not a criminal are you?"

Rex glances aside, rubbing the back of his head. "I might have caused a slight... disturbance yesterday. I kind of... threw a police car at some people who were harassing me. With weapons. It was empty, though! I didn't think they'd still be mad!"

Actually, now that he thinks about it, they never specifically called him out. "Unless someone else set the police on our tail. They must have found out about our true nature." He sighs, shaking his head in disappointment. "Everywhere we go, fear and distrust follow us."

He forces a big smile, lightly slapping Brian in the back. (Gently, so he doesn't hurt the kid.) "Still! Let's save that for another time! I say we go get some food! I can cook, but my Blaziken ran off, so I'll have to practice using my own fire breath. I only recently picked that skill up."

Brian smirked, the way he talked about it made it sound like he just casually tossed a cop car like you'd toss away trash.

"Unless someone else set the police on our tail. They must have found out about our true nature." He sighs, shaking his head in disappointment. "Everywhere we go, fear and distrust follow us."

Brian grew concerned, maybe that man in his dream was real.

"Still! Let's save that for another time! I say we go get some food! I can cook, but my Blaziken ran off, so I'll have to practice using my own fire breath. I only recently picked that skill up."

"Cool!" Brian said enthusiastically. "But I'm getting a weird feeling, but I'm probably just hungry," He glanced down at his pocket, taking out his c-gear he decided to check the news. Something he does daily at dinnertime. "Rex!" He screamed. Plastered all over every news page was Deacon's face. Brian had tears running down his face as he shoved the screen at Rex. "What do we do?"

Rex Dart

Rex looks at the C-gear screen, suddenly very annoyed. "Argh, damn it!" He growls, following his own tracks back toward the group. "Let's get back, we have to make sure he stays out of sight. We don't want another fiasco with the police."

He stops, pulling out his own C-gear. "Do you have everyone's numbers? Somebody else put them in my C-gear, 'cuz I can't figure out how the bloody thing works. Call him and make sure he's okay." He hands Brian his C-gear, letting him get all the numbers out of it.

"I really need to get a flying Pokemon that can carry me!"

Brian snatched the C-gear from Rex, typing the numbers surprisingly fast into his c-gear. When he finished he tossed it back at Rex. He worked on hacking Deacon's c-gear, he knew how they worked like the back of his hand. While doing so however he saw the signs that another person had already hacked it. He used the other person's work along with his own knowledge to get an audio feed of Deacon's C-gear. It wasn't perfect but they got the general idea.

"Deacon Masterson, you are under arrest for assaulting officers of the law and association and aiding terrorists. I know about your powers and my men are ready to use lethal force if required against you and your pokemon if you resist."

Brian wasn't surprised that they hadn't attacked him yet, they knew that it would be a gruesome fight if they tried to take him by force. Brian could use that to their advantage. He forced a call to Deacon's C-gear.

"Hahaha" He tried to sound like an evil psychopath, "You don't have a clue how much backup we have surrounding YOU!" He laughed again, trying to mask his voice as best as possible. "I would let Deacon go or this is going to get VERY ugly for you." He shut off the call, hoping that would stall them long enough.

"So what are we going to do now?" He looked up at Rex for the first time since he started working on his C-gear.

Rex tries figuring out a plan while Brian types. He almost doesn't catch his C-gear, not expecting it back so quickly. He watches in curiosity as Brian works, eventually getting audio.

"Not the police again..." he mutters darkly, but Brian surprises him again with his acting. It's not the greatest performance he's seen, but considering he was projecting it over a hacked phone line...

"So what are we going to do now?" Brian looks up at him, clearly uncertain. Rex shakes his head, snapping out of his thoughts. "Sorry, just wondering when you got to be so scary..."

He starts heading back to town, moving as fast as he can (which is to say, not very). "We need to stick to the plan. We get back there, and we figure something out. We can't just rush in fists swinging and fires blazing, or someone will get hurt. If it was just me, then sure, fight. I can survive a bullet wound. I've done it before. But I don't think Deacon can, and we don't know who else is there."

Delysia - Caverns of Mt. Silver

Rather than heading up further up the slopes of the mountains, Delysia led the pair deeper and deeper into the tunnels beneath the mountain. She wasn't quite sure why, but she was glad that the pair had ended up following her. Probably because of the past few weeks spent nearly alone. Having her pokemon with her helped, but there was something about having other human beings around her. Even the sound of another voice came as a joy to her, even if she wasn't happy with what was being said. She still didn't like the guy, Gray, but the girl Val seemed okay. Loyal to a fault perhaps, and perhaps stuck in the past with her weapons. Then again, she wasn't one to talk, still using blades over guns.

She vaulted over a boulder dropping to the floor a half dozen feet below. Pulling out a crudely drawn map, she glanced at the mess of lines, numbers, and letters that she had marked down, then at the three passages that the cave split into. She searched the wall at the entrance of one of the passages, relieved to see the markings that she had made with a sharp stone about a week ago, last time she had taken the path. It was easy to get turned around in places like these. The larger pokemon, donphans, aggrons, and even the rare tyranitar had carved tunnels like these through the years leaving a confusing mess of caves and caverns. One wrong turn would leave you hopelessly confused if you weren't being careful. Tucking her map back into her pocket she said, "Watch your step here, a stream meets with the tunnel and the rocks can get a bit slippery."

True to her words, a few hundred feet further down the tunnel a stream quietly gurgled out of a small gash in the rock wall. It spilled down into a small pool, then turned flowed down one side of the tunnel, occasionally meandering from one side of the tunnel to the other. After a few times hopping over the stream as it wove through the tunnel and another half mile later, she turned off her electric lantern, making not of where her feet were before she did so. "The pokemon will get startled with any sudden new source of light. Keep your right hand on the wall and be extremely careful with your feet. We only have another couple hundred feet to go." She traced the raged rock wall with her hand as she moved forward, carefully sliding one foot before the other.

A minute later, as they drew closer to the cavern that she knew lay before them, a hazy green glow began to suffuse the tunnel, making the edges of the rocks on the path vaguely more perceptible. Another fifty feet later the glow was enough to make out the details in the cave, and then they turned a corner and the source of the light became apparent. Before them and fifty feet down was a massive cavern with various tunnels leading off in various directions, and water flowed from a few of them to form a clear lake at the bottom of the cave. From the ceiling hung strands upon strands of luminous vines, their leaves casting off the green glow they had seen from the tunnel. The light illuminated the cavern giving it an eerie light, and giving the lake a sickly green color. Various fish pokemon could be seen swimming around in the lake and a half dozen large pokemon roamed around the cavern eating the lower hanging vines.

"Here is the place where I have found the strongest pokemon in the mountain so far", she said to her two companions. "There are maybe a dozen of the strongest pokemon who have their own territories in the cavern, and another dozen weaker pokemon that they in turn protect. If you attack one of the leaders, be prepared to deal with their friends too. Similarly, if you attack one of the weaker pokemon, the leader will probably come to protect it. These probably aren't the strongest pokemon physically in the mountain, but they are the most difficult to fight because they all work together. Numbers and coordinated attack are how they survive here." She looked back at them, "Not that they aren't pretty strong on their own of course." She smiled at them, then gazed back down at the beautiful cavern that lay out stretched before them. "Alright then, lets get a move on." With that she started to climb down from their tunnel to the cavern floor, carefully picking out her hand and footholds down the steep slope.

Pokemon
Spoiler:

Brian stared at Rex for a few seconds expecting an answer,

Rex shook his head "Sorry, just wondering when you got to be so scary..."

Brian laughed and explained while they ran back to the others. He could run fast in short bursts, however running this long exhausted him. He was glad that Rex wasn't going fast.

"I kind of don't have any friends so I took apart C-gears for fun, I can hack into one in less than an hour. But what worried me is that Deacon's C-gear was already hacked, and from the looks of it the hacker has been recording all his calls." He paused catching his breath. "From the looks of it the guys WAY better at hacking than I am, but I bet my firewall could put up a fight with him." Brian grinned. "I think Tulips with Deacon by the way, they probably went on a date or something." He stopped himself from making a nasty remark about that. "What can we do to get them out of there without being seen ourselves or endangering anyone?"

Shadow:

Shadow didn't know. He wondered why Tulip hadn't mentioned it, and now it made him feel worst.

"I can never change." Orchid had said.

"Yet you are now. Look how you gently approached that sawsbuck. Look how it acted toward you. If you were nice like you just were to that Sawsbuck, people would come more to liking you. You say feelings don't mean anything, yet obviously they mean something. I didn't know what had happened and I am truly sorry for that. But my point is, if you are nicer, people will like you." Shadow said turning away.

Shadow... two people are near... I cannot tell if they are hostile or not. One seems to have a darker aura, the other seems to be more confused than anything. A voice entered his head alone.

Shadow looked around, he was confused, "Uh... who is there? How do you know my name?" Shadow asked.

'It is Lucario, our bond is stronger now, I can use telepathy through aura. I can only talk to you at the moment though.'

"Lucario.... so that is what you sound like. Ok, I will take note." Shadow said.

"Come on we need to hurry, it is getting close to 4pm, it will be dark soon." Shadow said as he walked into the cave deeper.

Suddenly he caught a black shadow running toward the back of the caves, deeper in. It was a pokemon and it was an objective as well. Shadow ran after the pokemon.

Phoena:

Phoena was caught by surprise when a man walked up to her. At first she was afraid. But he seemed to know what she was after.

"So it is Shadow. But why should I work with you? I was given this job by the bounty hunters. He is my kill." She said, pulling out her badge to show him.

She showed no emotion on the outside, but on the inside, she wanted to keep this man's hands off Shadow.

"And how do you know my name and why are you after him?" Phoena asked.
