Same. I had a crush on an anime characters when I was 12-14, and that was due to the disappointing pool of guys at my school.

Not precisely anime, but anime style, when 12 I was in love with Rudy from Wild ARMS.

Otherwise it was Vash the Stampede from Trigun (I have an action figure of him as well, lol).

Also, when I was 8 I had a crush on Sonic the Hedgehog, because I was ♥♥♥♥ing weird.
