So, PCers... do you keep a journal? If yes, what sorts of things do you write? Like, personal stuff? Random stuff? If not, did you keep them when you were younger? What did you write about if you can remember?

I have a shit ton of journals I've written for as long as I can remember. A lot of mine were just about anything I could think of. Like, random stuff to personal things I couldn't share with people. I always feel like keeping a journal helps me to open up my world. I can say things that I could never say to others, and it's almost like having a friend who's always there to listen to you. Sadly, I can never finish my journals though. I either lose them or forget to write something and then end up not writing at all. >< I want to start keeping journals because I feel like it helps me express myself better ad gets things off my mind as well. D:

The only journal I consistently wrote in for a long period of time was one shared between me and three of my friends - this was from like grades 4-8, I think, and we actually filled out two journals, something I never could do with journals I kept to myself (I'd write like 2-3 pages and get bored). Thinking back, it was kind of like a blog on paper; we'd write about our days and our thoughts, the book gets passed around between all of us and we'd comment on the other entries and fill it with more entries.

I actually still have the first one we filled out, but it has one of those annoying locks on it that I've totally forgotten the combination to, so I haven't been able to look at it for years. If I can bust it open I'll share some entries, I'm really curious about what's in here too, it's kind of like opening a time capsule.

    Spoiler:

I used to keep a silly little diary back when I was around 5 or so. But I also had a dream journal a few years back, though, if that counts? Otherwise, I don't [consistently] keep any journal entries; my mind just kind of draws a blank whenever I try.

I did once at a nursing home I worked at. I was getting into arguments with a new coworker who happened to be friends and neighbor with my boss, so I kept a journal of every action I did at work to cover my behind. I left that place a couple of months after.

I've tried several times to keep one, but my life isn't really that eventful enough that I'd really need to make any sort of frequent entries or anything like that, so I stopped.

Yeah, that's usually my problem as well. My life isn't nearly as eventful as most, so it's usually harder to write down what's on my mind. :c

Hey my life is hella boring and I kept a journal. I really wish that I knew where I put that thing so I could go back and read some of the crazy stuff that I wrote...lol

I once tried but got bored.

    mm dd, yy

I have nothing to do because life is so boring. Maybe what if I turned into a dinosaur chi(Nevermind.(

I had a lot of journals over the years. I write about everybody who was ever mean to me or just guys I had crushes on ever year of school. I have a big crush on some one I went to school with. He was flattered when I told him I liked him. He's really nice but he has a girlfriend. So I don't know what to do about that. About the people who are mean to me, they're not important. OK. Bye.

I only ever kept a journal whenever my teachers required such. If I take pen to paper, it's usually an original story of my own.

Although I've kept a log on my SOS Chains for shinies. Does that count?

I have a lot of notebooks at my home. I've always wanted to stick with one where I can write things out. I also have my PC blog, which I try to update often but haven't done much. I just need time and dedication to actually update it. That could be a goal for next year.

I've written down things before where I was really mulling over something, and thought that maybe putting down things on paper would help me figure things out.

...Those pages didn't last too long after, just saying.

But otherwise, I don't keep journals because:
    a) in the case of private journals, if it's bad enough that it needs to be private then I generally feel I shouldn't write it down in the first place
    b) I don't tend to keep public ones either, since I'm certain most people wouldn't want to hear about my things
    c) let's be realistic, I would probably forget to update any journal anyway.

Although seeing a dream journal mentioned above makes me wish I could remember to update such things, since if I did keep a journal, it would definitely be on such a topic. So many dreams I've lost because of memory. :(
