Mr. Edgeworth please you're missing the point of my argument here. In fact you're missing the point of the entire court proceeding. I came into this court room today and you presented me with a suspect. Even you yourself must admit that the way this bandwagon seemed so one sided before is very suspicious and while at a glance this might seem like an advantage... upon further examination it's easy to see how instead this entire instance points to a victory for the Mafia on this night. It's true that I cannot guarantee that Absol is innocent. But the chance that she is and the results that would come about from the fact that she was are quite dire for us.... as losing any innocent would be.

As regards to the theatrical statement, I am accusing nobody from the RPT. Do not put words in my mouth. I believe Mana has given more than enough of a valid retort to that idea.

Now then, for the Coup de grâce.~

Do you have a good target?

You see, for one thing you are the prosecution. Your job is to come up with alternate sollutions to the ones I disprove. You must remember Mr. Edgeworth that assuming YOU are not mafia means despite these grievances we are allies as well as enemies. This is a two part job and this case cannot be solved by myself alone.

However despite this, yes, I do have a proposition. One that relies on the unique mechanics of the game.

Kira cannot kill anyone unless he has their name and their role.

So let me tell you the options as I see them, and instill in you the truth of a usually forwned upon and unexpected option at this point in the game... but one that has our best interests at heart.

First off, say we lynch Absol, let's run through the possibilities.

• We capture another idealist.
• We are one step closer to victory.
• We can engage in most likely fruitless interrogation.

Now, following my evidence, here is the other option.

> Absol is justice:

• We all look like fools.
• We lose another member of our team.
• Kira gets a free kill with absolutely no reprecautions.
• We are no closer to the truth.

As you can see, it's a risk reward situation. With what we now RIGHT NOW. But what if we had time to learn more? Well what we all seem to be forgetting is that WE DO.

My counter vote... is that we balance things so that nobody is arrested at all.

*Court Murmurs.*

Here is my plan of action.

Lynch Nobody:

• Kira learns absolutely nothing about roles unless he searches using Misa.
• If we believe that Bard is telling the truth, then regardless of our benefit due to such, Kira will wish to know Bard's role as Bard might simply lie tomorrow to throw him off.
• This means that Kira will gain the most benefit from learning Bac's role. Regardless of our stance on the matter.
• Regardless of what he chooses to do, Kira will be unable to kill anybody at all unless he makes a lucky guess. Which is unlikely.
• Kira may also move to kill the "businessman" and if this means killing the third party? Then this benefits us anyway.
• No matter what happens we will gain SOME new information. We can work with this.
• Unless we're very unlucky with our choices thus far? No justice will die tonight if we follow this course of action.

I propose before this day ends we count the votes as fast as we can and balance them so that nobody is arrested this day. In the end these first few spats have been filled with too many bandwagons and uncaring/suspicious behavior has become too mixed up for us to really come to definite answers.

If we go with my plan then at the very least we'll be safe until tomorrow comes. With the new day will come new information and with new information comes a greater chance for our victory.

So until we can get a list up... and I can try to use my vote to balance accordingly as a result... I am firm in my belief that we should

...and move to create a more definite accusation on the 'morrow.

If anything this suggests that Light isn't a RPT-goer. But it's probably just flavour.

I wonder when this day is ending, long days just lead to more confusion than needed ;-; especially this early. We've exhausted all our logic on Absol, I don't really think we have enough to go on for a more logical arrest - and hers is just a huge stab in the dark really.

I'm not sure on Bac yet, I see he has suspicious behavior but his excuses were sound enough. I don't believe in arresting him... yet. But a close eye on him in the future is something I heavily advise.

Ugh... were it not for that one little catch we could have been fine to take a safer option to expand our investigation a little longer with a little more information.

Mind you, I've given the impression that I fully believe in Absol's innocence. But this is not the case at all. I just feel like the fact that she was so unanimously attacked is very suss. I don't think the mafia would sacrifice a second member so quickly. It seems like a very risky tactic for this early in the game... especially when they're already down a member.

Maybe if I had arrived on the scene a little sooner... I could have stopped this this.

I believe I speak for myself and the prosecution when I say that it goes against our code to jump on bandwagons and watch them potentially drive off cliffs. So I suggest that Edgeworth and myself vote for one another. To show our reluctance as we wait to see how this, as Mana said, stab in the dark, works out.

There's a fifty/fifty chance that we win or lose here... I hope for all of our sakes that taking a chance on little details works out for once.

Hiding a trump card, are we Edgeworth? I'll trust your judgment for now. But we still require an alternative target for the arrest. Someone to take out in place of Absol. Someone more definite.

I have a certain suspicion up my sleeve right now, I'll admit. But I'd like to do some more research first. For now I'll let you follow any leads that become relevant.

I'm inclined to agree with Mana on the theatrical hint. Naku is an RPT regular, was the subject of such a hint in Blarzigord: The Uprising and the theatre hints almost never hit the correct target.

I would suggest that our GMs were having a bit of a laugh by using the theatre hint to suggest someone not from the RPT.

Hello everyone. I am back from holiday and have read up on the thread.

Firstly: Deceptio and Seth have me in stitches.

Secondly: [Arrest]Bacteriophage basically because of this exchange and I agree with Ulli that he is defending Jupiter too intently and how he reversed it on Ulli when he is almost proven (not quite, as he could have voted a Mafiabuddy to throw suspicion and had it backfire):

So I went through the thread and wrote down (what I considered to be) the more relevant votes and vote changes. As well as personal suspicions I had after a day phase was complete and we got to see if the end result was good/bad. So here we go:

Day1:
Absol -> Klippy -> Jupiter
gio7sm -> Klippy -> Jupiter
Bacteriophage -> Klippy
Nimsy -> Klippy -> gio7sm
Twiggy -> Klippy -> gio7sm
Jupiter -> Klippy -> Ullion
Candy, Gunner, BidoofFTW, Ninja Aiden -> gio7sm

gio7sm died and was guilty, potential suspects from this are: Bacteriophage and Absol and Jupiter

Day3 so far:

Bacteriophage -> Deceptio

So we can't draw too many conclusions from day 3 simply ebcause we don't know who is who. Personally I want to avoid lynching Absol on the fact that she may be the Scapegoat. :/

Also, on the first 2 days Bactertiophage made very suss lynch attempts, plus on day3 is voting to lynch deceptio despite it being pretty obvious that deceptio is neutral? (Unless he got thrown into having a role/alignment immedaitely after joining). But I think it'd be a dumb to lynch deceptio today.

So with this information, I personally find Bacteriophage the most suss and as a backup I'd say Jupiter.

For now, I'll [Arrest] Bacteriophage

Alright, so after reviewing my posts, it's ultimately occurred to me that I have not been taking this game seriously, so from now on, I'll be more dedicated. Obviously you people think I'm scum, and hopefully I can prove to you that I am not in this post.

So first off, why did I pick Klippy? At the beginning of the game, I was taking things too carelessly. I saw a bandwagon, and I jumped on it without thinking. No malicious intent there, right? But why didn't I get my vote off Klippy after he claimed, you may ask.

The fact is that I didn't bother. Everyone else already changed their vote, and I had no wish to vote for someone else. I alone would not cause Klippy's lynch. It was a safe resting place to assure I had no influence for the rest of the day.

Here are the following people that voted for Klippy:

Absol used Bite!
Voted for klippy. I don't find this particularly suspicious, as it was day 1 and she was just randomvoting, but was she really just randomvoting? Gio7sm was the second to vote for Klippy, and he was mafia.

Not to mention that Gio7sm and Absol used Bite jumped to Jupiter as soon as Klippy role revealed. Was this their job? To make him reveal and quickly jump like nothing ever happened?

Gio was second to vote for Klippy. He was later revealed to be an idealist. Is it possible that he was working with Absol?

Me
I already stated my reasons for voting Klippy. I saw a bandwagon starting, and I was careless. I can see how this clearly appears malicious, but all I can do is give you my word. Whether you believe me or not is up to you.

Nimsy
Nimsy didn't talk much. She's acted kind of strange, and I'll be keeping an eye on her, but that's about it.

Twiggy
Same as Nimsy.

Netto Azure
Not much to say about Netto. I never had suspicions on him, because as he said, he was just curious. He's dead anyway and was revealed to be a Justice, so I don't really have to say anything else.

Jupiter
Poor Jupiter. Voted by Ullion because he voted for Klippy for "No reason" as if anyone else who voted for Klippy had a reason. Does this make Ullion suspicious? I'd say so. It makes it worse that both Gio7sm (revealed to be an Idealist) and Absol (my main suspect today) both voted as well. Kiyoshi the Polar Bear ALSO voted for Jupiter, but that's not enough for me to suspect him much at all.

Ullion is suspicious. Why? He chose to vote for Jupiter for jumping on the bandwagon for no reason, when myself and 4 other people did the same. This is a minor suspicion as of now and I will be watching him.

Now here is my ultimate suspect.

Absol Used Bite!

As soon as Klippy roleclaimed, Gio7sm and Absol quickly jumped to Jupiter, another bandwagon that was starting. Why did they do this? Was this a mafia coverup of some sort? Were Ullion and Kiyoshi the Polar Bear also involved for starting this ridiculous bandwagon for no reason?







It appears as though Absol and Gio were working together during his short life. They both voted Klippy one after the other, and both quickly switched to Jupiter one after the other. I am confident that I am making the right choice when I...

Um, what? I started the counter-bandwagon on gio7sm suspecting him to be mafia and he was. It's reasonable for a mafia to jump on a bandwagon to lynch another mafia to perhaps clear their own name. But I really really doubt a mafia would start a bandwagon to lynch another mafia - especially if they knew their teammate that they were lynchign has a role.

As for Jupiter, I voted for him because at the time it came down to a decision between Netto and Jupiter - and after Netto spoke I believed him. Jupiter isn't the mos suss imo at this moment, but I am watching him (not that he really posts nor talks much anyways).

Also, this is the second time you've defended Jupiter very closely. If anything it seems you're wary of losing him. Moreso than what any innocent would feel over any other unconfirmed innocent. I specify this way because most innocents here would likely be willing to trust and defend Klippy from this point on.

Now, when I lynched you at the end of my long post above - it was simply as a "from the little evidence we have so far with how bandwagons have gone so far" kind of lynch vote. The fact that you reacted this way, and accused me where it should be plainly obvious that I am not mafia - is very suss to me. You could also just be very lazy and/or careless as well. But sometimes being careless and lazy can lose the game even if you are innocent. So I'm content with my current lynch as of now.

Well I mean... I could explain this to you. But it's largely irrelevant since the proof is, as they say, in the pudding. In an instance where it's not necessary to kill someone a formulated and safe strategy could be formed. Yet it wouldn't serve to make us overpowered as not killing anyone would make it impossible to win the game.

In a regular game of Mafia maybe, but due to the unique way Kira kills his foes in this game, a unique element of strategy is presented that makes every person we arrest a risk... as it essentially gives Kira a free kill if we're wrong. Without the ability to not arrest someone the game is more dramatic certainly. But if we did have the ability to abstain as a majority then it would offer up another form of strategic play, with more decisions, more conflicts and more choices for the mafia to make in regards to guarding their anonymity.

Now then Mr. Orpheus, assuming you understood all of that, if that is all you wished to input then please... nobody will be offended if you decide to take a quick absence in your search.
