My cohort Shak Justice has removed himself from the proceeding then?
"Yes Mr. Ceptio, but please you must reconsider... the deaths in this particular case. They're happening so randomly. You mightn't come back from this one... why not take Shak's example and stay away from it?"
You know I can't do that...
*Steps out of limousine onto pavement.*
With a case as big as this... people are going to get accused wrongly left, right and center. There's only one thing for it and we both know what that is.
"What is that, Mr. Ceptio?"
A damned good attorney.
...to this lynching of Absol nonsense. What on Earth do you people think you're doing? I walk into a court room expecting to come across justice and a sense of fellowship among the few folk remaining in a World plagued by deaths caused by who knows what. What do I get instead? A bunch of people pointing fingers at a girl for no good and believable reason? Disgusting! You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Let's cut the conjecture and look at the facts, shall we? No assumption. No bull crap. Nothing but the truth.
- Absol mentioned Twi's possible mistake from the skype chat.
- At least two people are voting for her based on the band wagon effect.
- The arguments made against her are thus listed:
- She was allegedly upset that nobody had died.
- She started the Klippy bandwagon.
- She was quick to lynch Twi due to their assumed mistake in the Skype chat.
- Bard started this bandwagon against her. He claims to have a role. We have no proof of this.
- So invested in this claim is he that he openly advises that he be protected.
- Absol is known to play somewhat suspiciously.
Do you see what I see? I see weak excuses to throw someone in a prison cell. Someone whom, for all we know, may have a role. Don't get me wrong, I am aware that all of your assumptions could be right. But personally I don't buy it just yet. A few rebuttals to the above list:
- Trust me, she is not the only one upset to see no deaths. So few deaths, especially early on, makes things boring.
- Are we really judging her... for being suspicious of Klippy? Yes Klippy is a mostly proven ally. But everyone always mentions how devious he can be. I personally don't blame her.
- You're prosecuting someone... because she made a hasty assumption... based on information from outside the case... and that you have already chosen to ignore for the time being? You're kidding right?
Stop being so hasty all of you. You're throwing someone to the dogs for the smallest of reasons and you have absolutely no proof, or in reality, any really concrete reason to distrust Absol.
As Nagi said this entire bandwagon is easy food for a hungry mafia. A nice opportunity to blame and play you against each other as fools. I know little about the grandest culprit, one Mr. Kira, but he is clever and doesn't seem the type to pass up opportunity.
I don't know how much time is left but I assume it is of the essence. If you ask me we should try and swap to a more valid target, try to pick at further details before jumping on yet another stupid bw in the UG.
Though I know it will be difficult to persuade most of you at this point.
A personal statement? Bard seems all too hasty to prosecute and in any other situation I'd accuse him. However, I am no hypocrite. There's an equal chance I'm wrong compared to the chance I'm right... and Bard says he has a role that he can prove the validity of tomorrow.
I'm giving the benefit of the doubt for that reason. But until such a time as I gain proof you should know I have you under my suspicion as an unaffiliated citizen.
