The original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is infinitely better than the remake. I should know; I'm watching it right now.

I'd like to thank Hot Topic very much for getting all of the hillbilly goths around here into Nightmare Before Christmas, Inuyasha, and Invader Zim, three of my favorite things, so that now I feel dirty when I think about liking them. Anything that I like just happens to be easily twisted into gothic counterculture icons, and it frustrates me beyond description.

I watched the original yesterday; it was a good feeling to suddenly realize there was a good version of Roald Dahl's masterpiece out there.

Hot Topic isn't all that bad. XD I got this awesome shirt there once that has a no smoking sign on it and it says "there are cooler ways to die" ;P I so love that shirt! XD

OMGosh, I watched the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory last night too. :33 IMO, it easily owns the new one. X3

The new Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory sucks. D; I seriously like the old one better than that horrible remake with Johnny Depp in it. ;3

I just don't see the mass appeal in Nightmare...Tim Burton made it for a very small and specific demographic of people, and it was meant to say that way. Most of the people who like it weren't even born when it came out =/

I like Edward Scissorhands, even though I've never seen it all the way through. It was made in the days when Tim Burton was an amazing visionary and not a man who creates movies for his own glorification.


Does anyone remember the Edward Scissorhands vs. Billie Joe topic I made in Other Entertainment long ago? >D

I know someone at school who has that shirt >P

I hate Hot Topic, but 50% of my wardrobe comes from there...I won't pass up shirts I like because of a grudge XD

Hot Topic's gotten its slimy claws on Inuyasha and Invader Zim, I know. Yeah. As with Nightmare Before Christmas, I doubt that the majority of people with Inuyasha and Invader Zim merchandise have actually seen either show... They've even claimed Naruto and FMA in their unholy domain.

Yeah i agree with you as well..I hate the new remake of Charlie and Chocolate Factory. I old on is so much better.
